Hi Fiona. You never fail to amaze me. What a great idea and not one I've seen before. You're the best you tube has to offer. No contest. Best wishes lovely lady
Hello Fiona beautiful cake perfect as always just wondering could I use two 6 inch spring form pans, I don't have 3 6 inch pans would you suggest making one half chocolate and the other one plain it will be a bit different for you think that will work ok thanks for sharing this recipe greetings from Dublin Patricia 🇮🇪❤️❤️
@@patriciaobrien3134 Hi Patricia. Ya, that works just as good. You'll get one later of vanilla and the other chocolate. You might want to add slightly more cocoa powder say half tbsp more. Happy baking! ❤️🥰
That's pretty unique. Just wondering. Did you put the cake in the fridge for a bit to allow the frosting used for the writing to harden up? It doesn't show that you did in the video but I'm trying to figure out how it didn't get smashed/destroyed once you laid the rice paper and piped those rosettes on top of the border. You can see that the paper does get pushed down some by the weight of the rosettes...
@@tammiemartinez6485 Hi Tammie. You're smart. Yes I did chill it for at least 2 hours. I think I mentioned at the end of the video, before the recap of the burning process. You need to chill it so that the buttercream will not melt. And I figured after chilling the rice paper will burn nicely and not spread out. So this chilling tip is very important. Oh yes, as I was piping on top of the rice paper, it's normal that the paper gets pushed down a little. So just make sure the bottom piping is even, so that the paper doesn't tilt so much. Somehow after chilling, it wasn't too bad. Hope this helps ☺️❤️

Won't the burnt paper make the cake dirty and smell ashes? 🫤
Why not making the boy gender reveal cake with blue layer in the middle?
The cream below never melted because of the heat?
