I have ultra whites on my box right now that the previous put on there but would like some color, either blue or purple and your kit looks sick. Cool vid bro, I'm really looking forward to next week since I need a re spray myself. Keep up the great work dude.
I fixed the links!! Thanks for the heads up!! The lights are amazing. Now that the days are so short I use them everyday. I would never go back to halogen. Thanks for watching.
I did projector lamps with the projector lens. If you go that route, and use HID bulbs in yours, I’d love to tell you what all I bought to make it work so you can see if can do better. I made mine work, but I haven’t asked any lighting expert if the parts that I purchased are necessary or some of the parts are not necessary. You know, to save you some money.
Bad experience with hids went LEDs but you dont get the brightness but did add yellow pod light fog lights and it looks great I had those opt7 canbus and they only lasted like 8 months then they burned and company never got back at me So I went LEDs and they are holding up 2yrs strong
Thanks for sharing your experiences. That sounds like how old HID kits were back in the day. Hopefully this one will last much longer. Thanks for watching.
Good Evening, I have been watching your vids lately I just bout a 06 xb 4 a fas saver. I'm interested in those lower fog lamps where can I find them? 2nd question on factory steelies no drop can I run a 205- 60-15?
Dude. Can’t believe those are only $40! Looks awesome. I’m waiting to order the same black housing headlights (never really cared for the projector lights)
Extreme Daily Drivers haha I’m an idiot. Of course it does, I don’t know what I was thinking... I ordered the last pair on amazon, at least for that link. 10% off coupon even! Lol
Led halos with HID everywhere. The only downer was the led halos I had weren't super bright as the halos I got for my '09. I guess it's cause I kinda went cheap (I think about 120 bux) lol but I'm sure they're are some with true super bright led halos, (they just cost more obviously I guess around the $200 range)
Yeah, to get the most out of HID's you need a true projector beam setup, but I'm sure what you are running is WAY better than stock! Thanks for watching!
Hey friend I ended up with the same set up with hi and low bean just with out fog lights yet and my bulbs came with metal housing that was straight out of box. Not sure if I should remove them. I do have 2 little screws I can remove to take the dome top off and keep the lock pins or take completely off leaving just a black plastic base that can't settle in the headlight housing property. Any thoughts? Also in my set up the metal housing allows the bulb to shine through on one side and that side in my finished lay out is facing up in the headlight. Just seems odd to me. Thanks
Well with most hid bulbs am seeing now they don’t have that around it so am actually curious myself but I installed my hid that I purchased through you link and I took one off and it actually covers more area but it thing it’s there for a valid reason just need some to explain that reason to me
Oh ok well as I said to me it covers more area but if you gonna remove them I suggest you save the 2 screws that hold it down and use them back to hold flat base that hold the bulp firmly in the headlight housing
My headlights on my 06 box are pretty dim. Replaced bulbs with silver stars and cleaned up the lenses. High beams look incredible but the regular lights are still dim. Any ideas?

Nope. I should have mentioned that the kit does include a hi-beam, however, when the Hi's are on, the fogs go off automatically, and you really lose a lot of light without the fogs on. So the Hi's are really useless.

L.E.D. Because they last longer than H.I.D, especially when u mess with more and more cables to work on H.I.D., instead of easy plug and play L.E.D. So L.E.D. Is a much better choice And for L.E.D. I’d love to go blue, baby blue, those elegant crystal blue like all those vehicles that comes from the factory and they make it look elegant
I totally disagree. I did a ton of research, as I always do, and LED's are still iffy. Kits fail quickly, just like HID kits did when first rolled out. Check out Amazon's reviews and you'll see what I'm talking about. Also, the way an LED bulb is constructed there is a dead spot on the tip which hurts light output. For the money and look, you can't beat HID's.
Great question. There is no benefit, it's just the way I laid out the relay kit. I could have gone the other way just as easily. The alternator gets it's power from the battery so there is no difference there.
Exactly. You need projectors designed for HID if want HID, LED projectors if running LED. Otherwise run the risk of blinding oncoming traffic. No Bueno
You are right, but I disagree. HID's don't blind people. Improperly aimed headlights blind people. Do HID work better in a projector housing, yes, but they do just fine in a stock headlight housing. I now have a couple of hours of night time driving since I did the install and have not been flashed. I have been behind and in front of police without anyone raising an eyebrow. Thanks for watching!
Extreme Daily Drivers show us a wall shot of the output and I’ll believe you. In 90% of cases, plug and play HIDs will cause poor lighting scatter. This isn’t just limited to distorted or no cut off lines, but I’m talking about uneven random hot spots on the ground in front of you. It might “seem” brighter, but the actual useful light on the road is less. This is because most HID bulbs have 2 spots along their length that actually produce light, both in different spots than where the Halogen filament would otherwise sit. If you look at a dual filament headlight bulb, you can see how close to together those filaments are. That’s the difference between lo beams and high beams. A small difference in light source placement on the bulb gets amplified and makes a huge difference to where the actual light is aimed out of the housing. Seriously it’s not hard or expensive to just retrofit your headlights. The rest of the build is clean, the plug and play HIDs are just doing it a disservice.
Again, I disagree. HID's were designed for projector headlights. There is no argument there. And I might do the conversion someday. But again, HID don't blind people. Poorly aimed headlights do. It doesn't matter if it's a Halogen bulb or LED or HID. And as far as if HID are "brighter" than Halogen, they are. It's very obvious. I guess we'll just agree to disagree. Thanks for watching.
Extreme Daily Drivers again, show a wall output shot and we can see where the light is actually going. I’ve had this “debate” enough times to know that in the vast majority of cases HIDs are a road hazard in halogen lamps. I would post comparison pictures but RUclips comments don’t have that ability. Also, read my last comment more carefully. The position of the lighting source relative to the rear reflector changes the effective aim of the headlight. Not only this, but even if the light source was precisely in the same spot as where the halogen was, there are way too many lumens for the halogen reflector to handle without producing excessive glare. This is because the headlights with original bulbs were designed to produce a small amount of glare out of the factory so that oncoming traffic can tell the lights are on at night. With the excessively bright bulbs, the glare increases proportionally to the increased output of the brighter bulb, and becomes blinding for oncoming traffic rather than merely helpful for them to see you coming at night, like what was intended. You are right on one thing though, there is no argument here.
False!! 4300k is the "whitest". 8000k is very blue. The bluer the light, the less our eye can pick up the color so the less we'll be able to see. 6000k is typically the best compromise between performance and looks. Thanks for watching!
I agree!😜 But not all 6000k bulbs are equal. My old set on my '05 that I loved was a 6000k phillips german made bulb from a seller on ebay. (id have to look through my history) but that white was like the construction site white light which was exactly what I wanted. The last I checked with the seller they were out of stock. (I'm still waiting for them to come back) The 6000k I have are like how you described with a slight/subtle blue tint, not that construction site white.
By using HID’s in a regular headlight bucket you blind all on coming traffic. If you run them it should be in a project bucket, to keep the bright light cut low so as not to blind people. Biggest mistake when using HID’s.
Canada here, just did mine...happy as well, same as yours...gonna be a 'clear' summer! One love
