They have always had a couple home grown beats, the fact that they can produce on their own is why they are able to take existing beats and really reinvent them for the battles. It's something most anyone else trying to do this has been missing and Peter has been on it since day one with Lennon.
cannot find it, but did find the gunshot sfx which is apparently a Mosin Nagant recording according to the file name. funny because that's the same gun that....
I was saying how amazing this beat was when I first watched the rap battle, but I didn’t know you guys made it until the end…. you guys did an amazing job 🤩
You guys walked the extra mile for this. The beat was absolutely astounding -- and the fact it's from scratch? Just amazing. You guys have come far, and it's clear you'll only go farther. Y'all are amazing.
The accoustic drumset is so layered and thumpy its rly satisfying And the samples in the second verses give a factory feeling, very cool What made u decide to speed it down from 102 to 98? I remember your original snippet
@@FizzyK-45 Feel like that might be pretty close to happening. ERB worked with Cam and Mat4yo in the past (Pokémon and Tony Hawk battles), so who knows. :)
I love how good the transitions in this beat are. Like the startup of Karl’s first verse at 0:48. It’s really cool how the beat works with the rap so well.
absolutely yes. will upload next Friday. we made a good portion of that in house, the "toonky doonk dink doonk dink doonk diiiiiink" was made by Choco, who worked with us on engineering and mixing from about season 2.5 to season 5. The big soaring "Duuuuuuuunnnnngh dun dun dunnnnnngh, dun DUNN" part was a whole other beat made by Hollywood Legend. We blended them together and brought parts in and out to keep tension building. that beat was actually lost for a few years, we couldn't find any export of the full instrumental and the protools session was lost. we just found it less than a year ago. so yeah, short answer: yes! great idea. we'll put that up next Friday.
@@ERB2 DUDE! That rocks! You guys really bring something great to the internet. I'm really glad you're back. I had to laugh, it was my 17 year-old son who clued me in to your return. Congratulations! Your impact is multi-generational! Thanks for thr reply! Best of luck to you guys!
yall gotta make more beats because this beat gave the battle a really nice energy and it felt like the rap was elevated by how much the beat was able to be molded around the lines
2:22 god the choir kicking in is a great touch. Reminiscent of the chorus heard in soviet anthems, which fits into the whole proletariat values thing marx has going on
I would say "I dont know where you guys picked up your talent from" but then I remember, that this journey is longer than just one battle, and funnily enough your new peak features Marx, showing how one's work can in the long shot forge greatness. Also Chorus backing Marx' last verse? Goosebumps.
I think consistent growth is the real story of ERB. You guys were good when you started all those years ago but you keep improving in all areas. I can't wait to see what's next.
The instrumental to a historical battle between two major voices really helps a man get his motivation. Love all that you guys have done, can't wait for more videos!
Love that you made the beat yourselves! You've given the community so much love by using their beats, but it's definitely time for a bit of self-made beats from the self-made elites! 👏 🔥
Pete and Lloyd, you guys knocked it out of the park with both the audio and visuals on this one. Hope all is well for you two and the rest of the ERB crew! Happy Holidays!!!
this sounds amazingly good, it sounds like the industrial revolution and corrupt factories which i believe you were going for with henry fords dialogue, amazing!
OMG, you uploaded the beat! That's one of the things I really loved about this episode (it's actually my favourite from you guys!), just wanted to say you guys did an amazing job!
I love this! Thank you so much for sharing. You've done so much for History and introducing rap to people and now you are making these sick beats. I can't wait for more! This is why exactly why the wait for Quality Battles are worth it!! 🔥🔥🔥
thanks. Lloyd was still making changes to the harmonies on "from your newspaper to your Nazi factory cross the pond" until about 4 days before we put it up. the vocals used to be more sparse there, almost a little off key, I liked it because I thought it sounded like Marx in pain, but I think it is more effective for the building up of the song how it is now. you can still hear the painful vocal in the final mix but a few notes got changed to match the key of the choirs. Oh jeeeze, that's a whole other story! we originally filmed the battle on a different version of the song with a different beat in a different key. this final beat was number 4 or 5 that this song tried on in the dressing room.
@@ERB2 Wow, that’s really cool insight! It really adds to the intensity of Marx’ last verse. Thanks for sharing! Congrats on completing your first beat from scratch, and killing it! 🥂
Love this one guys 🔥 I was hoping too see you guys talk a little bit about making this beat on the BTS, seeing how it’s the first fully original ERB beat! I can see the Hollywoodlegend inspiration here 😎
The choral bits on the last Marx verse is just perfect. I love when songs that have intense bits do that sort of thing. It makes it feel more powerful.
Yeeeah, my Christmas wish came true. Thank you Santa Marx, now all fan rights are even. Though seriously, ever since my first time watching the erb I was like "yo this beat is FIRE as shit, there needs to be an instrumental!"
It's a really good beat, and the fact that you made it from scratch really shows how you've grown.
Yeah right, they basically made the Ash vs Darwin beat and that was fire already
@@sedox3145I was wondering why it felt familiar
But it suits the battle so I guess it worked out

probably my favorite beat of any erb
The choir really increased the drama for Marx's last verse. Really reminds me of how epic Babe Ruth's last verse was.
Love the occasional drill and printing press(?) sounds in the background. Makes it sound like it’s being filmed near one of Henry’s car manufacturers
According to the description there's an actual Model T engine in there
the beat makes you swing, the sounds create an atmosphere, like puzzle pieces coming together into a stunning picture of music

When any Russian comes into ERB I always love the booming choir notes or just original Russian music type beats. They’re SO underrated.
this comment is underrated, this should be on every video. i love this comment.
Wasn’t Karl German?
Karl is German

it feels like something RZA would make in the 90s especially the drum choice.
The fact that my brain fills in the characters lines is so interesting, came for the awesome beats, stayed because its like listening to the same song
