If the 10 mile loop is greenlit, then local businesses touching the loop will BOOM! Atlanta's beltline is a PERFECT example in real time. I no longer live in KC, but am proud of the growth that my city has experienced in recent years. #KCStandUp
The greenline KC project looks so promising. I would love to ride more with my kids here, but the places it feels safe to do are limited so we often can't get far. Connectivity and creating a network are so important to make bike/scooter/etc. mobility work.

the cocina47 project is the only one i have a huge problem with, and it's for the reason that all the controversy was about to begin with lol. SAVE THE HISTORIC BUILDING!! There's already vacant lots in the vicinity of the plaza, and also where the nordstrom rack was going to go, so why not put it there? The old church is so cute and fits so well architecturally with the plaza, and this cocina47 project design just looks ugly and lazy by comparison. as an artist and architecture lover, this project in particular sounds like a travesty and it deeply upsetting :( however, if they were able to build something beyond gorgeous and fitting in with the spanish architectural theme that actually belongs in the plaza area, I think I could shut up about it XD. The apartment project in Waldo also looks very ugly, and I don't understand why they wouldn't keep the current building for The Well (which is very cute) and put their apartment building in the lot just to the north of it which is ugly and half filled with parking lot. the other projects look good though, and I am glad to see the growth. Also, the Greenline project sounds awesome, and I really hope that gets done! I don't live in kc anymore, but I really am rooting for the city :)
