    I own a 2001 Nissan Frontier and I just found your video. My ac stopped working a long time ago and 2 shops were convinced my compressor was bad. I didn't have the money so i drove without ac for over 3 years. Last weekend my buddy who owned a garage for yrs started playing with it and we realized the negative wire to the low pressure switch had a bad spot. We ran a line and it kicked right on. Added 1 can of freon and it's ice cold. However, it doesn't kick on and off it stays on. Thanks to you i know where to investigate.

      Remove your ac relay. If it still stays on, you ac clutch maybe stuff into the compressor. Not surprised coz it’s been sitting for 3 yrs.
      I hope you get it situated 👍🏽

    Hi. I also have AC always on. Additionally the two radiator fans are always On too. Even when I just turn on the ignition the 2 fans start to spin. Did you have the same problem with fans in this video?
    1) I tested all the relays. They are good. Ac clutch is good too. No OBD faults.
    2) When I unplug Ac relay (as you do), Ac stops working but both fans are spinning. Fans only turn off when I unplug the Fans relay.
    I checked the connector of one of the fans, and there is ground even when car is off.
    3) When I unplug the Ac connector then everything turn off (Ac and both fans).
    Thanks in advance

    I am confused on why it would stay on if the ecm is the one that usually provides ground to a/c compressor. Wouldnt it still cycle on and off? Great video and you saved me a head scratcher.

    • @cakepower1
      @cakepower1 2 месяца назад +1

      It just sends a signal to turn on or off, the relay is responsible for activating , relay has a mechanism that allows it to turn on and off, if the mechanism inside the relay fails it will not matter what the ecm wants.

    Awesome video. My problem is different tho. My previous AC compressor burnt up because the AC clutch stayed on all the time (when the switch was on and would turn off when AC was off). Figured since it has never been replaced, it finally gave out. So I replaced it with a new AC compressor. For a year it worked perfect and then the same situation started happening. Never fixed the issue again since the AC still works. Yesterday night, finally decided to work on it. Took the AC clutch apart and cleaned it up with sand paper. Cleaned all the sand that was in there. After putting it back together. It worked perfectly but then the AC clutch engage when it had too and then got stuck on again. When I turn the knob for the AC inside the car off, the AC clutch turns off. So after watching this video. I'm assuming is the AC relay that is probably bad and gives it power constantly when I turn the switch on. So I gotta swap it and try it out too. Is summer and I don't want it to burn up on me again.

    • @TheDeathsentence123
      @TheDeathsentence123 Год назад

      Or could just be the switch as well that is giving constant power to the relay.

      @@autopurlieu So I tried switching the relay just now like the 2 that you switched. Turned it off and on and works the same. Hit the turn off AC button inside the car and works the same. AC clutch turns off when is suppose to with the switches but when is on, keeps on running unless I turn it Off the system then it stops. So another faulty AC compressor, I presume? Switches function properly, switched relays and they work perfectly, cleaned the cluth and sanded it down, no shortage on wiring. The only thing left is the actual compressor then. Unless I replaced the AC clutch coil but then is gonna be more work and money if that doesn't work and the entire compressor is gonna have to be swapped.

      I have an 06 m45 Infiniti. I walked out the gas station and turned my car on to find my nav screen won’t turn on and ac control module button don’t work at all. First time and random. I don’t know where to start. All of the fuses I checked works.
