Shae, that was fun. Bagheera is sooo enjoying her life with you! Is she a dominant mare? At 26, she seems to like nothing better than trotting as fast as she can! How many times did you say "slow"? 😅Amazing! I am glad she is one of your forever horses. At this rate, she could go on for many years! Wahoo! 🐎🤠💖
Haha! No she’s actually pretty low on the herd totem pole. I did say slow a lot lol but that is also a word I use all the time, with most of my horses 🤣. We had so much fun!
Oh my gosh. Thank you. That was so much fun. I live my horse life through you. Lol. I'm making my way up the list to your most recent. I'm tiny like you. So your fun to watch.❤
Bagheera is such an amazing horse and loves trail riding. She has so much energy, I never would have thought she was 27 years old. What a great leader of the pack! Thanks for the beautiful trail ride.
The cadence of the hooves, the familiar squeaking of the saddle leather, the view over the horse's neck and head..... I feel my legs and feet, and my butt and back, chest and arms. I'm posting with the trotting. I feel this ride as though I were riding with you. Thank you for sharing your riding and all the rest of your horse involvement 29:02 . I miss that life. I miss having horses.
Bagheera really loves this stuff! Well, duh. Look at them....they all do. I love loove love watching Bagheera transform from that tired, neglected, buggy horse that you were told was a gelding, into the sleek, happy, beautiful mare so full of life. Thank you so much for helping her live her best life. What a wonderful horse she is.
I don't think anyone else knew what hunters pace meant but you guys. Bagheera is amazing. Doesn't let her age show at all. This makes me think of all kinda of different activities you can do on horseback. Like scavenger hunts, fitness rides, a souvenir ride etc. It would be so fun. It's great that you live in a horse friendly community.
Hi again SHAE Your senior mare is just amazing! She's full of stamina and seems to really enjoy the trails. Living her best life for sure and you've done a wonderful job maintaining her weight and condition! I would never have guessed her age. Way cool... What a beautiful trail course to ride. I've been really impressed with all the super places available for you to take your students. Thx as always for sharing. Catcha next time.
Thank you! Bagheera is a such a treasure and I’m so happy we crossed paths and that I can give her a wonderful life. I’m so thankful for all the wonderful opportunities we have available to us! Thanks again for watching. ❤️
That was so fun to watch I know y'all had a blast doing that that was pretty and neat and I like that fast pace myself thanks so much for taking us along such a good time appreciate all your hard work and keeping up with everything and doing these videos I know it's difficult we appreciate it so much thanks have a blessed day
Watching Billy tune Jody on stage at Marymoor Park, Redmond, Wa was OLD SCHOOL !! Loved this! RARELY ever seen on a live stage anymore. He tuned not just one guitar that evening. but 2 guitars, a total of 3 times!! ARTISTRY!!
👍🤩 Nice protective vests and the magenta saddle pad is so good for visibility. The other horses with no shoes went on the grass, the gravel seemed hard but Bagherra's shoes did well. Your riders really enjoyed the outing as much as the equines. 👍
That was SO fun to watch! Wish I was close and could take lessons at your barn. Bagheera made me laugh so much with her energy. What a fun little mare she looks to be! Looks like she had the best time 😍
👍♥️That was fun 😅 I use to do hunter paces but the hunt club that put them on were a bunch of snobs. This club was friendly and gave out snacks and drinks. 👍to them for making it fun for everyone. Great video thanks for taking me along.♥️😁🐴
Wow that’s horrible! I’ve been lucky with all the clubs I’ve hunted with (both hunter paces and fox hunting). They have all been lovely and friendly. ❤️
Hi I absolutely loved watching this! I came across your channel yesterday and I am obsessed! Your such a lovely kind person, love how you take your students with you on exciting adventures like this, the horse world needs more people like you 🤍 keep being amazing! Xx
This is my favorite one. This is my dream ride!!! I've done hunter paces before, but they involved jumping and you go by yourself. There is NO place in CA that is as pretty as where you rode. Where is it ? Is it in Michigan? Thank-you for such a fun video. You are a trooper riding in posting trot all that way while holding up your phone to record it! 31?!! I would have guessed you're in early 20s.☺
Thank you for posting! A GoPro camera needs to be next on your list! I’m not riding at the moment due to an injury - not riding related - so it’s great to be virtually on the back of a great mare, who is enjoying the ride. She reminds me of a same age gelding I had, who had been an international long format 3-day event horse. He loved going out on the trails. His first hunter paces were riddled with his sighs, as he knew we were not going to “make the time” at the 3-day 😂. Once he realized they were longer and more casual, he was a great partner who enjoyed it as much as I did. He had a lot of go, but wasn’t crazy by any means. He was solid, unflappable, and on his own game. A hot air ballon once landed in the sand pit I was riding in. He could not have cared less. He was tough as nails and the most determined horse I have ever known. He always had more to give, and riding him was merely to remind him you wanted less, like your girl. He has been gone for many years though, but I have my memories. The fondest is the many times that I would duck for a branch and he would take it up a notch or 2 - to trot, canter, or gallop. It seemed he did it to joke with me, as I laughed every time because it was so silly. It was perfectly safe, and he pulled right up, so it was kind of like “our thing”. It was his reminder to me that he felt more was better, in all he did, and that he might be an older gentleman, but he was still tough and ready for anything. I could have prevented it, but I chose to let him express himself, as it was never unseating or malicious, rather, it was an expression of who he was, and his unrelenting desire to do more than asked. It was as if it was part of his self esteem. Who was I to squash that, especially after all he had done for his riders, and his complete connection with me, and his love of my laughter and carefree nature when sharing our experiences together. Thank you for giving your girl a wonderful life, and seeing her through to the end. All horses deserve it, but unfortunately they don’t all get it. We can only take the ones we can, and give them what we can. Great job with your horses, it’s refreshing to see someone who has a passion for their work, puts their horses needs first, makes a training plan that makes sense for their individual needs, and focuses on a pain free and positive experience for them. Again, it was great to virtually ride Bagheera. She is a special one. They all are. In their own special and individual ways. I look forward to seeing more of your positive, horse centered work with your horses, as I recoup from my injury and cannot ride my own. It’s a pleasure. Thank you. And thank you and Bagheera reminding me of my time in the woods and fields with my “ older gentleman, and amazing partner.” 😊
What a fun experience!! I wasn’t feeling well this morning and this totally lifted my spirits! Thanks! Can I ask where you have your Go Pro mounted? I always have trouble with getting a nice riding angle!

I see there are many traylers like the one you have. In europ i see only smal traylers for 1/2 horses, and for more they use big trucks with kitchen, toilet, bed, room for tacks, camara and then for 4/6 horses or more. Like in the netherlands are many competitions, so they can go easy for a few days, even international, england, germany....😘
@@freespiritequestrian yes, in europe also, but your trayler does the same thing then those trucks, and that's the most important. Your trayler seems very robust, so he will do his job many more years.😘

So what exactly is Hunter Pace?
It’s basically a set course and it’s supposed to stimulate a fox hunt. You go out on the marker course and set a “pace” that’s associated with a fox hunt.
do you suport fox hunting with hounds
