Great example of the multiple decisions a T1D has to make every day - fair play for persevering. Very helpful for my own research into getting a pump. Thank you!

I've just started the insulin pump 😊 I'm on the omnipod dash and it is semi automated it is early days had an eye injection so things are a little out of wack but I'm hoping to get into exercise I'm semistable. But hope to get ideas 😊 from following the channel 😊

I am so impressed with your perseverance! I would have given up first try - I haven't even tried it out yet and I've been on the pump for over a year because I'm too scared of the unexpected lows! Well done!

Love your videos. It might make sense to try eating a small snack before running rather than waiting until after to prevent a low from happening (CGMs also have a 15-20 minute delay from actual blood sugar, so you are probably going low earlier in your run than you think). I also like to wait 3.5-4h since my last bolus to have as little insulin on board as possible when running

I think the timing is something that could really help me for sure. And yes I 100% need a snack before I've come to realise

Hi Irish Friend. I wonder if a small snack (15 carbs.) before the run might be worth trying? That’s what many of us on MDI do instead of waiting for after when you’re almost always going low. Just a thought but giving you an ‘A’ for the effort you’ve put forth. It will get easier as you acclimatize to running with your new Pump. 💪💙

Thank you, oh definitely the carbs before running is a must!
