Great watch guys, but one rule mistake I saw is the red rook is strong because they can't be changed by other chip's ability. Meaning the red rook would have been just the 6, not 12.
Honestly, if Sully had known how to forge, this would've been a massacre. The amount of points he got just from feats and objectives was already insane, so he would've potentially been a bigger threat on the last war cycle.
Sully looks so lonely with a table side all to himself, but at least he has room to maneuver. And even if he busts, he will still have my smile. Sully Forever.
I think human errors are bound to happen in a board game with so many rules to account for, or for that matter any other board game too. It is easy for us to catch it because we are watching it on a video but playing it is a different thing. If you want to play a game without errors you can play an online game but this is more fun and social so keep it up guys. Cheers!
I really enjoyed this playthrough. I think one of my favorite things about this game is the replayability: different leaders with different powers, different ally chip abilities, different strategies- battles and castles, chips, quests. And the art is just gorgeous.
Adam falling into the classic "If only _____________________, then I would have won." Made me hopeful we'd see the stern, yet sensual, slow-board-flip.
I love watching these board game plays because it helps me decide what games I want to buy next, thx to no rolls barred I bought cosmic encounter and I’m on my way to buying betrayal on house on the hill, then I just might buy this game. I’m becoming that level of geeky that I’m starting to love table top more then card games.

Well there was a bunch of rules mistakes in this game. At one point she won a battle because they doubled a 6 red Rook to 12 when it shouldn’t have been. He shoulda got some points when he named people for the Dutchess he never scored for, etc etc.
7:47 while Blair likely would have won the battle anyway she shouldn't have gotten to 25 points because the Rook's value cannot be changed by other chips.
I really liked this game. While it's a strategy game and sabotaging people is a part of it, there's not really any way to backstab someone else. So there's no reason for someone to get angry or feel betrayed. And it's appearent that they all enjoyed playing it.
The only other rule thing I saw other than the 6 rook thing is it is mandatory for anyone in a battle to draw a chip on the 1st draw. You cannot back out on the 1st draw. Great game. The wife and I enjoy it loads.
If you're interested in suggestions, I'd really like to see a House Rules episode of Telestrations, with the twist that all the prompts have to be abstract concepts like "dignity".
I really like this idea, be nice to have a group game on House Rules, and given these maniacs have struggled with the most basic prompts, I'd love to see them try with "ennui" or something philosophical like "objective truth".
I'd love to see NRB play Blood Rage at some point. It's got a few similarities to this. It's effectively Ragnarök, the board game. It's fun, can be quite quick, and is absolutely brutal.
12:11 into the game Adam only moved Laurie's piece 4 steps instead of 5 as the card showed and at the end of the Red Keep turn he won by 1 point but should have taken 1 more thing out of his bag to win and this would probably have changed the outcome of the game or would it.... Great game everybody. Love this channel.
In one fight between Blair and Laurie the question was asked that if you aren’t on the battle track are you still considered I. Second place to get point. It was said yes Blair would still get points but I believe that is incorrect. I thought you had to have progressed Atleast one space on the track to score points.
Bloody hell....this game looked amazing. I'm a casual admirere of the Alice in Wonderland theme but I never really got intereste din the game as it looked too long for my group, too big for my table (Thankfully I have a new gaming table now) and perhaps a bit unbalanced (Laurie won but.... did he evn have an ability? Poisoned just 1 person whole game). But after watching you play I kind think I need this game, RIGH NOW! Well not right now, I"m hearing it's gonna be back in KS with an expansion so I guess I'll wait but.... damn. Bloody good game, innit? Chalk this one up along with Nemesis(both) and Villainous as ones I'd love to see you play again some time in the future. :)

Some sweet sweet content I'd love to see (especially with more complex crunchy games like this) would be a video filmed after the games finished where the players sit around for like 40 minutes and talk about the game. Kinda like a post game debrief/review. Where you say what you liked and didn't like and just talked about the game. Might be tough to be honest since I know a lot of these games are being sent in by publishers and you don't wanna upset them but still be something I'd enjoy. Might make good patreon content

Mostly they would score 2 for forging but forget to score the VP just for playing it. -Laurie not drawing at the beginning of battle when you are required to draw at least one. -Not scoring for wonderlandians that should score like the duchess. -Not getting the proper strength for some chips based on wonderlandians abilities (the forge tokens getting extra strength with the carpenter). Then when she remembers, they don’t double it from the flamingo lol. She should have got 4 strength from that forge chip and ended the battle. -The first episode completely forgetting about shields at first lol. -On and on lol. I love this channel and this game but my goodness that was frustrating lol. In the end all that really matters is if they had fun!
This was the hardest game to follow on the channel, and it was not the NRB crew's fault, there is just to much visual pollution. But another great video though, Coby.
So um.. Adam cheated on the second battle. Laurie pulls a 5 but Adam only moved the token 4 spaces. As a result, when Adam pulled the 2 later, they would have tied.
Why do people like using the word cheat when it's Adam but the comments pointing out Blair's mistake with the rook don't? Cheat really implies it was an intentional choice to break the rules instead of an honest mistake.

To be fair, this game has a ridiculous amount of rules so breaking some inadvertently is almost as much a part of the game as playing it. Also, I have absolutely nothing against Adam, he's a lovely fella and part of me feels bad for saying this, but there's something about his demeanor when he's ahead in a game or vying for the win that just gives me an insane amount of pleasure when he ends up losing.
Come on guys you have to tidy up the rules more. The red rook mistake. On top of that you MUST pull at least 1 token out of your bag. You can’t elect to have meeples placed and not draw at all. So war phase 2 first war phase of the game the thing he suggested at the woods which didn’t happened shouldn’t of been suggested and hilly exiting red keep without a token should not have happened either.
I think this game is quite unbalanced for my taste , no points for buying heroes sucks cause basically they are just there to win battles also quests are too overpowered , 18 points for 4 objectives seems unfair- ish. Makes the quest slightly too broken. Also there's too much happening in the game itself as well so rule flubs are quite prominent while the game time also becomes quite a problem but loved the content as always.

It’s taken me most of the way through the game to get my head around all of the rules properly, but this is such an interesting game!
