  • I've had this gallium sitting on the shelf for about 6 or 7 years and the container failed spilling it out so why not do a vid on that . Not to much going on with the Gallium so I also do a heap of copper heat exchangers and some other stuff for the Pink Safe . I hope you enjoy.
Anyway sit back relax and enjoy the video and remember if you Feel like supporting the channel it wont cost you a cent and that is to play one of my playlists on your computer before you walk away from it and let it play through that really helps as ads will play and watch time will go up . Watching ads definitely helps but Don’t ever feel as though you need to watch the ads if you don’t want to simply skip them and move into the video it’s completely up to you and I understand if you don’t have the time to do so👌🏻😁👍🏻.

HOW I MIRROR FINISH A BAR
I start with an 80 grit flap disc on my angle grinder then I use my drill with 50 mm round sanding discs . I start with 150 grit then go through the following Grits 240-400-800 Then once I get to the following Grits I use a small squirt of WD-40 1200-1500-2000-2500-3000. The WD40 helps to lubricate the discs and stops the sanding disk binding up with the metal powder . Then after that I use my buffer wheel on my bench grinder to get a perfect mirrored finish on it.

Hey there, all you beautiful People 👋🏻. How are you on another fine Friday? Today a quick bit of gallium hand melting. Unfortunately I can’t get it to freeze because it’s too warm here at the moment but you’ll see what I mean. Over 10 kg of Copper added to the stack, as well as a heap of brass and Copper pieces for the manly safe. So sit back relax enjoy the video. Put the worries of the world behind you and most importantly, have a happy safe weekend and I hope to see you all next Friday👋🏻😆

AlGa (Aluminium-Gallium) is a degenerate alloy that results from liquid gallium infiltrating the crystal structure of aluminium metal. The resulting alloy is very weak and brittle, being broken under the most minute pressure.
      - so PLEASE, keep the Gallium far far far far far far far away from ANY Aluminium, or you'll end up with a lot of brittle 'junk'
Would hate to see your bigstackDegenerated that you've worked so hard for ;ø)

      @112Famine 2 месяца назад

you could have put an ice cube under the mold involving the gallium ... and you know to keep ot away from Aluminum, it can penetrate aluminum & combined with it and make it super weak that you snap a block of it by hand.

If you add screws to your bench to tighten up all the joints it will help with how bad your bench is vibrating. The slack in the nail joints adds leverage to the vibration making it worse. The vibration then makes the nails work out of their holes and wallows out the holes. The easiest cheapest thing you could do is replace the nails with deck screws. If you wanted you could add some extra bracing on the vice side while you were at it but just putting in screws will make a huge difference

Learn something new everyday, I never heard of Gallium before. Interesting stuff.
Its finally getting warm enough to enjoy your videos on the front porch with my coffee not getting cold too quickly. Upper Midwest ( Michigan ) USA. We had the nice weather of partly cloudy, 44 degrees ( 6.7 C ) which is warmer than normal for this time of year, we had a mild summer last year also and only went under 0 degrees ( 17.8 C ) a couple time for winter.
Beautiful place you have. I still find it strange having a parrot problem in your yard, then again, you all have Tysondeer!
Great video by the way, love me a copper melt! Take care everyone!!

Gallium is actually dangerous stuff, put some on a locked brass padlock and watch the reaction, it will absolutely destroy it in maybe thirty minutes. I wouldnt continue placing it on my skin, its been suspected overtime to cause major organ harm. Gallium can affect you when breathed in. * Gallium is a CORROSIVE CHEMICAL and contact can severely irritate and burn the skin and eyes with possible eye damage. * Breathing Gallium can irritate the nose and throat causing coughing and wheezing. * Gallium may damage the liver and kidneys. US medical journal. Certainly dont touch your eyes after contact with the skin.

Got myself an awesome few Scarface tapestries I’ll be adding to the workshop And one of them is bloody huge. I’ll be trying to attach it to the roof so you should see that in the next video. Now My mate dropped in who does estate sales and gave me almost 300 kg of scrap metal in the way of close to 200 kg of Copper And about 90 odd kilos of mixed brass. The good thing is he actually came over yesterday morning and donated about 150kg maybe more of Copper Cable and dirty Copper pieces and well over 100 kg of mixed brass. Probably Close to $2000 worth, but he loves the channel. He does estate sales all the time so practically gets it for next to nothing and that’s why he donated it👊🏻😁. I've never seen springs inside a heat exchanger or radiator before. I think they may have not been actual springs, but metal windings intended for some other purpose such as creating turbulence for more efficient dispersion of heat into the copper.
I can't get over how clean the copper pours are compared to that brass.

I used to love taking things apart when I was younger. We want on vacation to new Hampshire and my aunt and uncle owned some forest and had a ton of old cars and I helped his disassemble the cars and cut some big trees. Fun days! Got chased by a bear once and their dog (who was also as big as a bear) protected us. Anywho, seeing all this random stuff in your video reminded me.

Love the birds as well, always seem to have that Mad Max vibe during some part of your videos. Guessing that is the Australian Crow making that noise, but it always reminds me of the second Mad Max, Road Warrior.

⚠️Keep your gallium away from your aluminum!⚠️
The oxidation on the aluminum helps keep the amalgamation from happening, but it can still destroy your hefty pile!
