You can't just use HDMI ARC with the Xbox Series X? Why would you even try to use USB? Connect the HDMI ARC on the soundbar to your TVs HDMI ARC. Connect the Series X to any other HDMI input on the TV. The sound will go to the TV then to the soundbar thru HDMI ARC.

I realize I'm a bit late to the party, but just picked it up directly from Creative (on sale!) and I am suitably impressed. A sub $100 soundbar with sub- sounds great. Clear, rich. A/Bing it with my Samsung M8 internal speakers- is laughable. Fits perfectly under my 32" monitor with the sub behind my desk. Only complaint is you can't turn the display off. (electrical tape will do the job). I'm sure there are better speakers out there - but for the price, don't hesitate. Just get it. You'll be happy.
Omfg what a stupid annoying thing for this company to not give the option of turning off the display on the bar!!!??? Are u kidding or what.. that’s super annoying 🤦. Just about to buy this, but that one thing may stop me. Can’t believe that if seen tons of comments and reviews on this and nobody has flagged that up!!! Ridic
More sound test is appreciated. Please do more complete sound test, it helps a lot. Maybe can include a music test. Extreme sound test are interesting. Have to show the full potential of this soundbar 2.1 .
Why bother? Listening to that sound bar, picked up by his mic, compressed through RUclips and then played back through your totally different speakers....sound tests on RUclips are next to useless.

Your monitor speakers sound really good! There is no way in a comparative term to say that the Creative soundbar sounds good.
