- The AMG C43 is a midsize performance sedan from Mercedes. Under the hood is a 3.0L twin-turbo V6 that is producing 385HP & mated to a 9-speed automatic transmission. It's exterior has a unique AMG front fascia, wheels and rear bumper. On the inside you will find a cabin that is sport oriented but also has they luxury side you come to expect. Is the 2020 Mercedes AMG C43 worth the price?

I own a ‘19 c43 coupe and it is a fantastic car. Also thanks for not being part of the whole “it’s not a real AMG” nonsense crowd.
Couple of side points for those considering this car.
- 19 inch AMG wheels are avail.
- Vented seats are available but with the real leather or sport seats options.
- brown dash is a color choice. You can get black ash, black gloss and few other wood choices at no charge. Carbon fiber is a cost option but looks fantastic.
-no touch screen- I don’t miss this at all because the pads on the steering wheel control the dash and the center screen.
- the lift gate can be opened and closed by sticking your foot under the diffuser.

I like the honesty in the review when talking about the wood trim, I don't care for the wood either. It is good to know that the C43 has steering feedback, which is rare nowadays from reviews I've read.

I own a c43 amg, I test drove the C63s. I made the right choice, its such a well-balanced vehicle and an incredible daily driver. If you're thinking about getting one, DO IT!

Love the humor Joe. They should have put the shifter on the steering wheel to compliment the old school wood ha ha. Theres just something on merced they are so refined and distinctive!

hi Joe. I would like to make a sugestion for your reviews. To show the upper center console to see if there is led interior lighting and if it has a sunroof, how does it open, etc, And also, to show the command of the lights at the left of the steering wheel, if they are automatic and what not, i think it would be a nice addition. thank you so much for the reviews, you are a great guy.

My 2020 c300 looks pretty much the same, except for the rear diffuser and the quad exhaust tips😮

To be honest the C300 is not a good buy, the C43 is so much worth it, experienced it and absolutely love it. This car can be absolutely beautiful when it is blacked out.

Love you reviews, great work! Looking for next family sedan, top contender is model Y, currently have 2014 535i M sport, looking to upgrade! Any suggestions? Have 2 boys who growing fast like weeds, 11 and 13, so back seats leg room is critical! I’m 6’2” so driver seat will be pushed back a bit, worried this maybe tight squeeze

Of course the C43 is a real amg. Entire car (brakes, suspension, drive modes, 4-matic system, engine, transmission etc.) is all from AMG. AMG did not start off with hand-assembling engines back in the day. If they were ok with calling non-hand-assembled AMG’s back then, then it’s definitely okay now.

Hi man, the new generation C class is coming. Is old model C43 sedan still worth buying? Also how's it comparing to M340i?
i hate the Stock c43 rims. On my c43 i have the Multi spoke 19 inch wheels refinished in gloss black and they look way better. the tires on this one look too chunky for a performance car. This spec was also odd with the front sunroof only not panoramic and the light brown wood. it looks much better with the Black open pore wood and full panoramic sunroof.

Not liking the wood at all, however, it reminds me of days of when wood was the norm, back in the 70's, and 80's, M-B models!
First time I'm listening to a review, with my Bose headphones on, GF, is sleeping, and I'll tell you, what a sound difference! I may have to go back and listen to the, "On Throttle", portions! I believe I've been missing out on a lot of, "true" audio! 😵

That wood trim looks like it was salvaged straight from The People’s Court set.
from a lite track day standpoint.. c43 amg or a35 amg ? can get both used for around the same cost, and although the a35 gives up HP it also gives up like 3-500 lbs

It does looker nicer with the 19s but I personally choose the 18s so I wouldn't have flats every other day 🤣 I've heard horror storys about how easily the 19s bend on small potholes and the summer tires (only come on the 19s) that burst on the same small pot holes. I choose convenience over not as nice rims lol

The suspension is definitely stiff in all modes but I keep in sport all the time lol

Casey N it’s not the worst it did get much better once I switched out the run flats plus my car rides on the optional 19 inch wheels.

Need to do the coupe also ;) with carbon package on the outside and inside, Amg seats and amg performance exhaust. Also, FYI, ventilated seats are available as an option.

Very nice car. My friends stock c43 keeps up with a 2015 380whp STI. His amg is blue with red seats and carbon fiber Interior. Very nice ! Those shifts are insane
I have to disagree with you a bit Joe. Mercedes may call the c-class a med size but based on the interior space and length of the wheel base, I would consider this baby their compact entry. The E-class is more of a med size offering.

That thing sounds great for a six! I almost like it as much as their V8s sound. I agree with you, that wood trim could be any other color to look better. Lighter or darker.

@@shuozhang236 In the UK there are just so many Mercedes cars on our roads, in fact German cars. I want something more exclusive and the Kia Stinger definitely fits that bill. Style, performance, warranty and reliability the Stinger has for sure.
@@a0r0a7 that makes sense. The situation is quite opposite in China like we embrace Germany cars and we even had an abbreviation BBA means Benz BMW and Audi lol
@@shuozhang236 I understand where you are coming from. The British seem to have this love for German cars. We also have a motoring press and the likes of Top gear, Fifth gear and various TV car shows that continue to reference all cars to the German class equivalent. Whilst German cars are very nice there are certainly other brands that do compete in various classes with the German cars.

I have one. Its stiiiiiiiff. Car handles so damn well but in normal day to day driving, you feel EVERY bump.

I don't find the ride harsh at all. It's not the softest suspension of course but with 19's and a suspension fit for a track what do you expect. I love the car, especially with the AMG performance exhaust.
I also did take off the run crap tires and put on Michelin P4S.
Best tire for any muscle/sport sedan for everyday driving - hands down!

@@cobras559 I have a 2020 polar white all the options as well. It is a harsh ride comparatively to other cars in the segment. there's no denying it. But I find it an acceptable tradeoff for what it does. I traded a challenger scat pack on it for a more family friendly performance ride. I also have had mustangs camaros and corvettes. This thing is hands down more fun and useful. (I put on aftermarket 19s with some Conti's, Ill go Michelins when they are done) - Congrats!
Stain the wood red to match the belts and stitch work. That's what Darth Vader told when he spotted the Merc from a galaxy far far away🤣😂

The C43 AMG is a fantastic car especially for tuners as those TT V6 motors can push serious power with stock internals and injectors. Whoever spec'd this car out is absolutely ridiculous because that wood trim and no pano roof is just nasty. Easy change though.
