Your dad got me laughing dead with that 1 badge rant LOL
Get a 63 if you want that 😢
I'm no Benz person but that C43 looks dope and sounds dope, if I would acquire one, I would keep it for dear life because the Benz frenzy is about to die with the upcoming C63...
This is the car that got me into cars!! The sound is phenomenal & I agree... it’s certainly worth holding onto!!
its a tragedy
That c43 is beautiful! 😍
I own a c43 coupe and your dad was spot on with his analysis! Couldn’t agree more with his statement with getting a ‘one man, one engine’ badge. Awesome content, subscribed and looking forward to more videos!
Hi Fahim, many thanks for the comment, much appreciated. Enjoy your c43!
You've got a cracking car mate, appreciate the sub & hope you don't mind the M2 content too 😅
what s your long term mpg?
Like your Dad's review ... and generally agree with his comments when thinking about my own estate version ... with regards to the sunroof/blind issue ... on the earlier W204 C-class I owned, you CAN close the blind yet leave the roof open ... I think this changed when Mercedes went to the panoramic style of sunroof option and do wish Mercedes would bring this function back. With regard to the alloys, I run mine on 18's in the winter months and a, it drives nicer, b, less risk of kerb damage and most importantly, its less likely to damage the tyre over the multiple potholes ... I hope he enjoys the final year and orders another C43 to replace it
Thanks for the comment Paul, (sorry for late reply, I've not looked at this for ages)
I actually decided on a C63s coupé, it's awesome but hand on heart, I miss the 43, that 4WD let's you put the power down over much shorter distances giving a darting effect, I hope a described that well enough. With the 63, you have to bring it up to power a little bit slower or it wheel spins like mad, which can be fun too 😀
In general all AWD have bigger turn radius, that's a technical limitation. The wheels can be slightly better protected with tire models which has lip protection and higher profile (but this might change the rolling diameter).
Hi Arthur, yes appreciate that now, painful as I’d only just bought the car 😡. It was worth the cash getting them repaired. Learned my lesson there !
is that the amg performance exhaust or j the standard?
Love your pops! I'm 66 and just bought my wife a 2020 cabriolet model. Cheers from Florida!!
Congrats on the new motor Bill!! 🥳
@@MrHCars lol, it's my wife's🤔
@@bshadrick still a new motor tho, right?
Thanks Bill, hope she's enjoying the car. Wish I was in Florida right now 🥶
Is there a c43 that comes with hard top ??
I have a C43. Completely agree with you on the turning radius. There is also the headrest that is angled too forward. The accelerator pedal too upward sloping. And then, the run flat tires make the ride way too stiff.
what s your long term mpg?
@@SkixAndi - Overall about 20-22 MPG. Cruising at 70 MPH, I get 31 MPG
I just bought an estate premium plus. Had to have the pan roof and burmester sound system. So far I’m loving it. Only thing I don’t like is the crabbing at low speed. I’m running continental tyres but will switch to Michelins soon. Also the pan roof looks awesome on the estate compared to the saloon.
what s your long term mpg?
I had a C43 and the issues I’ve had are:
1- wind noise
2- squeaking noises from door panels, and dashboard
3- arm rest silver panel paint went off, seen the same in many other c-class
4- after almost 60,000 miles, gear knock and differential knock started
5- costly service all around
Your Dad 😅. With age comes wisdom. Agreed on the one man build snobbery. Does he have his own channel? The sunroof acts as a downdraft spoiler when open - tell your Dad to leave it open when he drives fast. 😉 The factory spec performance exhaust option is a must - It sounds so good! wish I had that on my 2019 C43 sedan.
The one-man one-engine argument definitively gets debunked amazingly at 2:01 🤣
Loved the video! btw
Ikr🤣 think about a45 having a one-man-one engine badge on 2.0 an engine. C43 deserve so much better.
What do your real life MPG is..? Thanks 👍
Are they all turbo v 6?
Whats the maintenance costs been like? also any issues since the ownership? looking to get estate version atm
Sorry mate, I've just seen this, maintenance wise it was absolutely fine. I never had any issues
I've traded it in now for a C63s, I just had to have one, an itch I needed to scratch 😂
The C43 is a nicer drive, AWD gives it instant power. The C63 is heavier and much more aggressive looking
Mine is the coupé, 2 door so not as practical but suits the car more
😍😍😍😍 sick car
I just got a c450 AMG it’s awesome thanks for the content nice job
Nice! Congrats and enjoy Ali!
what s your long term mpg?
First time i see your videos and its quite funny because I owned an m235i that I fall in love with it and I was thinking to get the M2 but then I purchase a c250 and I loved the comfort and quality…. So I just find out that the c43 will be the perfect mix 3.0cc 6 cil rwd with all comfort and quality + awesome power…. Any thoughts from you that you already have the change of drive both? Cheers!
The C43 is very easy to drive, very smooth. I love the looks of the C63 but it’s heavier and stiffer. I like both 😂
“Alloy Gator” is your best bet to protect your rims mate... I’m also an owner of this AMG but in the coupe version. It was great seeing you try to squeeze 5 issues as this really is probably the best car lol ... and defo upgrade to the AMG GT!!
Hi Michael - I’ll certainly look into that Alloy Gator tip, yes the AMG GT looks awesome, you don’t see many around do you. I see Mercedes World are offering £645 for a half day track day in one, and £195 for an hour in a C43! I might rent mine out 😀
What rim are those
What year this is
Cool Dad 👍
We love Scotlamd!!!
Do The C43 Amg Have Massage Seats In Any Of The Year Models? Like 2020 Or 2021
No, afraid not
2:42 into the vid, Dad is a brilliant man! haha
Is that exhaust stock? Has it has more aggressive burbles mapped in?
Yes the whole car is completely stock. It has the factory optioned sports exhaust too
You are right, these points are just nit picking, therefore proving they are great cars. I suppose I am a little biased 😋
I love mine almost the exact same spec except I have vorsteiner VFF 112 wheels
Cracking choice of car mate and a tasty mod too!
what s your long term mpg?
@@SkixAndi I’ve gotten as high as 33 mpg but average about 28-29 on the highway
I do prefer the C43 coupe shape and was looking at a very nice premium edition the other day. Sounds like you need to pinch a badge for father's engine 😃
Hi Carl ( Dad here 😀) agreed the coupé is a sportier look but with 3 kids, the saloon is probably the better family car for me,mind you we very seldom all travel together these days anyhow. 🤷🏻♂️
@@tonyh1460 Totally agree Tony .How does the C43 car drive compared to your son's M2 ?
Hi Carl, I did have a little run out in his M2, it was in Sports+ the whole time so maybe not a great comparison, I found it quite challenging, the steering is very firm, a good arm workout, it’s quick too, I needed to concentrate all the time, maybe in comfort mode it would have been easier. The C43 can be driven with a thumb and forefinger, it’s much smoother. Put your foot down in the M2 and you can feel the front end looking for grip.
@@tonyh1460 Having the steering in comfort probably would of reassembled your Merc. Sport+ steering is definitely not for road driving. I like a bit of weight to the steering and generally have it sport for dual carriageways and motorways and slip it into comfort for twisty roads. Yes you get to know the car and your own limits in a RWD but I enjoy that part of the driving experience. We also have X1 AWD for the more practical day to day life activities.
I need to get myself being a wheel of a Merc some day.
The rear leg room is so small, I was thinking about getting this over my A6 but changed my mind , my A6 so much confortable and similar performance..
is it the standard sports exhaust or the 1200 dollar performance that it is equipped with :)?
It’s got the optional sports exhaust from factory 😎
Nice video! I own a C43 2019 as T-modell and it’s just a wolf in sheepclothes.
My biggest gripe personally, it doesn't differentiate enough from a standard C220d... but equally has its perks too! Like you said, wolf in sheepskin!
Hope you enjoy your C43!!
@@MrHCars With the facelift models (2019+), the car is actually a bit more different than the normal C class with a bigger diffuser, quad exhausts and AMG specific settings and screens in the dashboard.
@@ErwinVervaet yes agreed! New grill really helps and I love the new tailpipes!
I just wish it had the c63 wide stance at the front... but probably too much to ask 😂 (just buy a c63 at that point)
what s your long term mpg?
@@SkixAndi I wreally do not know. Driving an AMG modell mpg is something I never look at. Btw I have shifted to an A205 43 2021 (convertible). With the hood down the sound is amazing!
Torn between a C43 and an M340i. It would be easy decision to go M340i based on the B58 and the raw performance BUT I am in Canada so I can get a '20 or '21 C43 WAGON. Someone help me.
Tough one, both good cars, can you have a decent test drive first ?
That car is a demon
My dream car
You’ve been gone a month! Welcome back
I know, it's been a while!
It's good to be back!
Is that the selenite grey, or the graphic grey?
Sorry for very late reply Nich, not looked at myself in awhile ( not good for the ego 😩)
Selenite grey yes, looks terrific after a good clean, always looks showroom condition for some reason
how many miles/km were on it after the years of ownership
Hi Hector
I've just seen this, I've got about 26,000 miles on it now.
You said your dad may get a c63 or gt, well I'd choosle the cls53 because it's elegant and sporty in my opinion and 40% cheaper
Is it selenite grey metallic?
Yes sir
Probably sums it up how good this jam jar is, the dislikes were very minimal far outweighed by the joys of owning it
Exhaust stock?
Everything completely stock - Pre-OPF too
My fiance has one and she loves it
C43 or 340i ????!!!?!?
is this original exhaust sound?
It’s completely stock
The C43 is an AMG engineered engine.
Stock exhaust or amg performance?
AMG sports exhaust optioned from factory
@@MrHCars excellent sound
the rear lights need more design, some jelly bean weird shape, almost Hyundai type of look.
the other deal is the insanely big Mercedes logo in the front grill
I'm thinking of selling my M2 for a C43 coupe. Thoughts? I want something snow capable and I'll bank some decent cash on the sale. Losing manual transmission is going to hurt but I think the c43 will be practically faster than I'm shifting my M2.
Hi mate, I had a standing start race with my lad in his M2 and me in the c43, he just edged it but I backed out of full throttle 😊
The c43 is terrific in wet and snowy conditions as it's AWD, it's a beast in disguise
I don't think you'll regret it
@@tonyh1460 Nice! Yeah I feel like it must be close, I just don't want it to feel like a downgrade. I've driven my friend's M340 which is a missile and faster than my M2 in a straight line but to be honest it feels completely sterile and has zero character. C43 looks way better and the exhaust isn't even comparable it's so much better.
@@hamishmmc Yeah, BMW interiors are pretty dull I have to say, the Merc has a nicer dash, a bit more bling. And yes, the sounds is awesome, Sports + is a head turner
@@tonyh1460 hi mate specs on the c43 say 500of torque so question is what’s it feel like when you put your foot down in it..did it pin you back into your seat..tat plane takeoff feeling or not? Very curious is all :)
@@Doguelife yeah, I'd say it does, particularly for a passenger, drivers are expecting the acceleration but passengers aren't
Its lovely to see they all smile (or scream 😱)
The 4WD really gives it huge short distance acceleration.
And the thumps in the back as it shifts gear with the exhaust pops and crackles, just brilliant
My C63s rarely does that
The c43 Coupé’s sunroof doesn’t dangle over like that.
Yeah I think it’s an unavoidable feature of the saloon/sedan, perhaps it’s weigh to motor power so something
You can get rim protectors 👍
Thanks Elliott, appreciate the help! Will get the old man to look into them
i was all in till i noticed he had a lfc top on, well being a blue nose i think i will give that a miss lol only messon i am on me way to Yorkshire to collect mine hope it isn't a lemon
😂😂 enjoy the new whip! Great car!
Ha, just spotted this, I hope you enjoy the car and I hope you stay up. It wouldn’t be the same league without The Ev
Lol good video!
Maybe move up to the E 43?
Thanks Albert!
Could do... but it's heavier, costs more and the same engine. No real benefit...
Just got my c43 about a month ago and my main gripe with it so far is the godawful Continental ContiSportContact SP tires it came on. Will do my best to put some wear on them and swap them for something nicer next year. :-)
Yep, not the best tyres! Could take them straight off and sell them on Facebook?
Get some Michelin PS4s on there 😛
what s your long term mpg?
@@SkixAndi About 10.5 l/100km, so about 23mpg.
@@ErwinVervaet thank you, hope u enjoy it!
I own a 2016 C450 AMG, the same color, actually, this same car it looks like…with the exception that it is a 450 and not a 43 but is there really a difference? Anyways, i love this amazing car. Thanks for the video.
yea u have a 7 speed, 43 is a 9 speed
what s your long term mpg?
What year is it ?
It’s a 2017
It's 2021 right now.
That dad is cool... Assembled by one man having a bad night because of his gf got me.
What year is this c43?
Late 2017
@@MrHCars very nice! Look to get one soon! Just curious what’s your 0-60 time?
Next? How about an Audi RS5? Would deliver an interesting but different driving experience. It’s fast and comfortable and can be made to look rather intimidating with the right color choice and options. Better value than the C63. Coupe or Sportback both good.
your dad lmaoooo
my AMG A45S is perfect, so every AMG is perfect. oh I got the one man one engine badge LOL
That pimple tho
Bring my friend along to every video
Yes, it is the perfect car....especially my 2023 C43 coupe.
The tires suck.
Sadly!
PS4S inbound
@@MrHCars PS4S?
Mitchell Pilot Sports 4a tyres he means, and they look great too
Ridiculous comment about one man one engine and having a bad Friday afternoon. Defense mechanism against buying an AMG not even built in Affalterbach..
Oh, it was only a bit tongue-in-cheek. I was actually talking about people who have the badge and disregard people who don’t.
there is no perfect car sir
Yeah, I agree, but my boy wanted me to name 5 things, none are particularly irksome really
Got rid of mine it’s gone dated af
What do u mean
