Thank you so much for making this video…I have this same mower and have a gas problem…now I know where to get started and how to step by step figure it out…I appreciate you. Thanks
My dad is having an issue with getting fuel to engine. Close inspection under the seat showed a pigtail from a harness not plugged in to anything. I'm just starting my research, but is that auxiliary or does it belong somewhere?
The one underneath the seat is. If you fall off, it will turn the engine off. Plug it up and try it. Sometimes it's hooked to a fuel shut off, Silinoyed
@@adamhamrick3897 yeah, that's why I was wondering if it was auxiliary. I think it's probably fine and I'm going to check out the solenoid shut off to the carburetor. Thanks for your help!!
@@kristinhiner3221 Check the shut off. Still annoyed on the carburetor. And make sure it's opening and closing the way it needs to. I can't remember if that model has a fuel pump. But you can disconnect it and blow air back through the line into the tank to make sure that you are getting fuel. And change the fuel filter if needed. I have seen fuel filters clog up and they not want to run.

Good show buddy! That's some good tips about how the gas tank neck busted off. Thanks! I'll have to look at mine 👍
Nothing like a good visual inspection to get to the bottom of a persistent problem.

But that switch is plugged in, it runs straight to a cable that runs up front. This pigtail splits of from that safety switch.
@@kristinhiner3221 Normally it's just the 2 wires that come underneath the seat to the safety switch.

Epoxy anyone?
I would sure try fixing that tank before I bought a new one. Clean and rough up the plastic and put JB Weld on it.
