Hay God, How Sweet Even the Pain is when it strikes our heart & soul so intensely thru such a wonderful thing called "Music" ! Even the North Indian Musicians would be pondering "whether we had ever used this Raagaa Chandra kauns So Beautifully to convey a painful emotion so strikingly!". Hats Off to All Time Great Viswanathan-Ramamoorthy KaNNadasan and Susheela. Most of us have been awestruck listening to this Master piece Song again & again over the last 40_50 years asking within ourselves whether a Mild Music could convey such a serious emotion so strongly impacting our soul. The real magnificence behind this great composition is the use of Minimum instruments so softly, but creating an everlasting impact in our mind. VeeNa, Violin Strings, Shehnai and Sitar too in the Closing Portion compete with each other in pouring out the feelings so vibrantly and what cannot be lost sight of is the striking sound produced by the Tabla making us wonder whether it's actually a Tabla Or a Mridangam. One can write pages & pages of thesis endlessly - detailing about the nuances of Nightingale Susheela's Soulful Singing, Kannadasan's exemplary writing and the aesthetical excellence of Viswanathan-Ramamoorthy's composition as well as their extraordinary Music Score for this unparalleled song. One more Notable recreation by QFR. After Nenjam Marappadhillai, one more unforgettable song for Anu Anand who sung it so expressively. A great Thinking on the part of QFR Team to have deployed Two VeeNa Players Ranjani & Anjani to create that Original striking impact and both of them together reproduced that everlasting Original Vibration unmistakably. So too, Rangapriya & Shyam Benjamin taking care of the Back-up Strings Section and Kumar on the Shehnai. Venkat's reproduction of the percussion score on the Tabla being as good as the Original Score. One more Great Composition that stirs our feelings instantaneously In true spirit of MSV's / MSV-TKR's Signature as experienced in their countless compositions; not only thru the Song and the Tune, but also Throughout the Background Music Score. He also demonatrated how it can be sung as Sumanesa Ranjani by altering a Swara Kaisika Nishadham with Kaakani Nishadham just for Colouring purpose. For yr kind information, Kaviya Thalaivi Song Oru NAAL Iravu Pagal Poal Nilavu composed by MSV is based on Sumanesa Ranjani. Thanx.

This rendition by Anu Anand simply melted me bringing back all those mesmerising memories listening to that beautiful pining song by P Sushila acted brilliantly by Sowcar Janaki and Gemini Ganeshan. I must say the orchestra well composed by Shyam Venkat and Ranga Priya with beautiful accompaniment of Shenoy by Kumar and melting Veena rendition by Anjani and Ranjini was as good as the original maestros! Kannadasan wrote lyrics for women better than they ever think....a grandeur song of all time in Tamil cinema...be it picturisation, the acting, the composition, the lyrics, singing....any department a tough competition to name the best....no wonder it is IR's most favourite song...Susheela amma never tops the high pitch curve in an open voice..she meddles on the and bottom line of the graph...as such the instruments except Veenai which is the only instrument meddles well above the graph line....not to compare Susheela amma with any one but it was a tribute from Lathaji those days that even she could not have tried to sing this song with so much perfection....Anu did her best to emulate Susheela amma calibre...hats off...that shenoy rips apart our soul in the saranams...it took 400 episodes for qfr to reach this magnum song and now they justified it with those 400 episodes of experience...i was damn sure that Ranjani would be there today but good to watch Anjani also together....Subha became extremely nostalgic while explaining this song is quite normal...the gracious smile of Sowkar on screen brushing away all those uncertainities in her life... panic ridden EV Saoja with Veenai..and a patient listener Gemini...that breezy evening...qfr brought all those memories live today....all credits to qfr team....congrats...God bless you all abundantly...

மனதில் நினைத்துக் கொண்டு இருந்த பாடகியைக் கொண்டு பாட்டைப் பாட வைத்தது குறித்து மிகுந்த மகிழ்ச்சி அடைந்தேன். இந்தப் பாடலுக்கு என்னிடம் ஒரு வரலாறு உண்டு. நான் குழந்தையாக இருந்த போது இந்தப் பாடலை என் தாயார் பாடும்போது நான் அழுவேன் என்று சொல்வார். இப்பொழுதும் இன்று இந்தப் பாடலைக் கேட்டு அழுது விட்டேன். மனதைத் தொலைத்து விட்டேன்.
