Some say Toby was lazy when he did UT's OST, but it really cleverly makes it feel how the underground is just this small place with different sections. Watery, Hot, Sci-fi. A place where people dream of getting out. Which is what Waterfall represented. Why Undyne's theme uses it. The people's hearts beating as one. Spear of Justice. And even why it makes sense Death by Glamour uses it, given Mettaton wants to get out.
What i always found more impressive is how Toby didn't even went to music school lol. Infact the university he graduted from has nothing to do with any branch of Video Game Development. He studied environmental science.

I love this (and the final Another Medium) sooo much. The OG Another Medium honestly has such a feeling of warmth, fitting of the intense, yet controlled and calm, sea of magma that lies just beneath the core. In contrast, this version sounds cold. Not Icy cold, but like being in an air conditioned room. Honestly, I think a good analogy is that this would be the more inside or higher parts of the CORE, where its more machine, and cool, compared to below.
True, this theme would've worked great in the areas near Muffet's boss room, because you would have to get much higher, so highhhh, to get to those places.

I can imagine this playing in a subsection of Hotland that's themed like a big server room. It would be very cold with coolant pipes everywhere, which you need to avoid. There would be a lot of puzzles, maybe themed around old school computer games, like Solitare or Pinball, or maybe simple logic gate puzzles? You can interact with a lot of screens, which show random Undernet posts from various background characters and a few of the main cast. There's a few enemies, all being computer puns (ram sheep, a driver driving a car, etc).
This could work for the last quarter of Hotland, that more "mechanical" part where you can't see the lava and the floor is a darker red with a bunch of the puzzles (Take for reference the place where Muffet's shop is)
Another Medium is way more cleaned up. The original gives of a different vibe. Patient sounds colder than Another medium. It also sounds more mechanical, and Another Medium sounds more natural. I can hear the last part before the loop ends in Another Medium though. I like them both.

it's a remake of the song that another medium is based off of, which WAS the am beta. the uploader just remade it with undertale soundfonts.
