- First hike in this next of the woods on the Iveragh Peninsula.
Knocknadobar , or the Hill of the Wells, is an ancient pilgrim path to the top of this mountain.
Got great weather for it... well, for most of it. Spectacular views all around and an area that will be returned to.
Just for reference, it was a 13km hike in total, I don't think it came across as that long in the video.
Some sections were steep , especially coming from the North Top over to the path, the camera didn't show it well.
The car park has a €3 charge and will take a good few cars.

Hi Eddie, Nothing can beat your appreciation of natural Ireland, we must all be grateful to you. Many thanks.!
Thanks very much for that Robert. Glad you’re enjoying them 😁👍🏻
Eddie, this was just brilliant. You have a great style, so chilled. You can see your love for the place (and Dingle). Your enthusiasm is infectious. Thanks for sharing
Thanks very much Alyn. Never thought of me having a style, but I’ll take it 😁👍🏻
there’s some great scenery down here ⛰️
Wow that view.
It’s good alright Mike isn’t it 😎😬
Nice to see all this again, used to be our playground when we were kids.
Glad you enjoyed it Lee , some playground for a kid….
@@eddieforde every summer we would go to our grandparents farm and help around the farm, taking milk to the dairy in milk churns etc etc, still have cousins over there but my age makes travel difficult now so haven't been back, except in my dreams.
@LeeEnfield-iw3qk thanks for sharing, I really enjoy hearing stories like this, really puts people in the landscapes I visit. 👍
Eddie, always cool to be walking new ground👍 A lovely (if cold) day with pretty sharp looking air. Those loughs and that coast look like they are well worth exploring. A cool walk👍
thanks Gerry, great walk to start down here as its well defined and the usual anxiety I'd have going to new places was missing for this :D Like everywhere else, a return visit will have to be done at some stage to take in the loughs and coast as you say... 👍
Hello Eddie. Delighted I looked at this film. Heading to South Kerry for July so I'll be following your footsteps
Thanks Jim, hope you have a most enjoyable trip down. Hopefully the weather will play ball for a few days. 🤞🏻
Hey Eddie, did you see any good spots for wild camping on the hike?
Hi Liam, the whole top would be ok I’d reckon, as long as the wind played ball. Nothing on the way up as the hillside is just all Heather. Tbh I wasn’t really thinking of spots so no idea if down by the lakes is doable. 👍🏻
Thanks Eddie. Love the videos - keep em coming 👍
Stunning as always😊
Thanks Pia. 👍🏻
