A Long day spent in the Mourne Mountains in the North of Ireland. A long way from my usual haunts but a trip that was very much enjoyable and I am already looking forward to heading back up, whenever it may be... Just a great video. I’ve always come up by Hungry Hill. I’ll suss other places in the new year (DV).
So eerie. These give me chills even though I absolutely know there's a scientific explanation for them!
its a cool effect alright . must have been strange to see it a few millennia ago pre science as such..
Great place when the weather is good Some stunning views and Bray head is a fabulous walk
Thanks John, yep, some pretty amazing scenery there alright,👍
Beautiful scenes 👍
Thanks Stig, lucky to be able to see it down here 👍
@@eddieforde 🙂👍
Ok.That's that, Eddie. You've sold the place to me, Going to explore and walk next summer. Just hope it turns out better than the one we just had. Lovely film, by the way!
thanks Gregory, Unlses you are very unlucky you'll get a few alright days. I'm told the bad weather adds drama to the landscape 🤣
If I remember right the Kerry Nights were of music and dancing Glad you stuck it out great shots lovely sounds
thanks Brendan, I'll have to go searching on the internet, but even what you have said there is something I wasn't aware of, so thanks, 👍
Magic😊thank you!!!
You're so welcome!
Every day is a school day Eddie. Another lesson for me also. Keep up the good work
We’ll get there some stage 🤞
None of that carry on up in Derry, Eddie. We keep our night skies black and white!!
That’s what you want Gregory, takes all the stress out it. 🤣👍
I took photos of the Aurora but your time lapse is so much more spectacular. Lesson learned for the next one. Thanks Eddie.
Thanks Brian, it was pure luck to be honest. I’d two other nice Timelapse’s only to not realise the Len’s was after fogging over, a rookie mistake. 🤦♂️
Thanks Eddie. I missed them....again! So glad you got such great footage- im mildly jealous lol
Only for the fact I could go up into the field directly behind my house I’d probably have missed it also Alyn. There’ll always be a next time… hopefully up a mountain when it happens 🤞⛰️
Wow thanks for sharing. Sadly never seen it in real life. 😏❤
My third time getting some sort of glimpse this year would you believe, although tbh, I never looked for them before so could have been happening all along and I wouldn’t have known. Instagram is handy for something at least. 👍
BOOM !!
Shackalaka, 🤣 was good fun, but was really worried in case I’d got nothing, my first time really trying to capture this. 🥶👍
Really cool! Thank you!☘️👍
Thanks Elizabeth, glad you enjoyed it. 👍🇮🇪
Stunning, Eddie. What an amazing sight that must have been! Thank you for sharing such beauty.
Thanks Kris, the Timelapse/long exposure stuff helps, but there was a few stages where the red was fairly intense and you could see it with the eye, not as vibrant, but still very visible. ✨
Far Out! . . . as we used to say . . . Thank you, Eddie.
Thanks David, it was pretty cool to be out for it. 😎
Great sunrise shots, sea sounds, and I liked the shot of the birds as the sun went down. Nice to see a man from Cork appreciating the delights of Co Kerry.!
Thanks Robert, there’s one shot there where the bird is pretty much passing thru the sunbeam as it hits the water. There were a few flying around there and I was happy with how close I got it. Trying to go further afield a bit but it’s hard to not keep coming back to Kerry. 😁👍
Thank you Eddie. I'm in the planning phase of my second trip to Ireland and this reaffirmed some places I want to see. I also used your slea head drive video to find more places. As always your videos are fantastic. Cheers
Thanks Mike, glad that Slea Head video was useful for your planning. as you are aware there is so much to see around the place you could spend a good while there. Thanks again Mike for the nice comment. Ed 😁
Thank you Eddie, as always. 😉 Valentia Island is one of my favourite places. There is a nice bog on it, with a lonely house, with painted words on it. Next Pint New York. 😉
thanks again.. I didn't see that on this trip, but there will be others at some stage. It's those small little things make a place interesting..
awesome day! Another one for the list!
Hi Barry, had great weather for the trip out, and add it to the list most definitely, the entire day was quite enjoyable 👍
This was many types of awesome pal! I had the almost the same conditions for my trip last feb ! You covered a lot of ground for one days explore ! You’ll have to go back :-) great video
Thanks Darren, I remembered your video alright when I was up at Geokaun and looking at the lighthouse. As you say, it was a lot of ground covered in a day, and a return trip will be on the cards at some stage alright. The list of places I’ve to go back to is getting longer all the time 🤣
Nice video 👍
Thanks 👍
@@eddieforde 👍
Kerry cliffs are a better spot than Moher in my opinion, definitely hit up Derrynane/Cahirdaniel, we camp down there alot, come class viewing points, the beaches are some of the best about, Abbey Island, Binn ui Ruairc and Cnoc na Stoca are lovely, some nice waterfalls too.
I haven’t been to the Cliffs of Moher since I was a young fella, so it will be interesting to head back at some stage. Thanks for the location tips, I’m not familiar with the place so great to get some pointers. 🤣
@eddieforde sure we're all just mere humans bud 😂
@@eddieforde Despite living in Clare, I am a bit embarrassed to say that I had only been to the Cliffs of Moher twice, both times briefly, so earlier this year rectified that by walking the cliff path from Doolin to Hag's Head and back, a 22 km round trip. The Visitor Centre was crowded as I expect it always is, I counted 30 coaches, so it was nice to walk straight through it and on to quieter paths! A few more people on the second half of the route out to Hag's Head, but I had the path from/to Doolin to myself. Windy, but not too windy, producing crashing waves, the sea a beautiful turquoise in places. Lovely walk, would deffo recommend Ed.
@@jude6000 thanks so much for that, I’d been looking at Clare for a while now and was actually up around Fanore 2 weeks ago. I was thinking the Cliffs might still be busy so gave them a miss. The route you’ve mentioned there has been added to the list. The Clare coast has been on the todo list for a while. Roll on the off season 😁👍
Super presentation Eddie - thank you.
Thanks Tom 👍
Beautiful as always. Been to Valentia Island many years ago beautiful place. 😊❤
thanks Pia, there's a lot to take in down there on the first visit , but yes, a. really beautiful place that I will return to, at some stage.. the usual craic 👍😁
Amazing images Eddie
'twas very hazy all day, so I'm glad to have got the ones I did. I was surprised with a few when I got home as I didn't think they were up to much on the day,,, its often the case tho when out for a long one. thanks again Paddy 👍
Nice one Ed. I did a trip around this area back in 2015. I remember those kerry cliffs being spectacular. Was lucky enough to get a boat out to the skilligs with a local fisherman too! Very lucky. Kerry has it all.
thanks James, I'm very poor for having seen so little of the country, I'm getting there tho, it will take another few decades :) to get the trip out with a local fisherman must have been very cool, they are on the list, its a long list, but hopefully next year at some stage.. 👍
You were haunted with the day Eddie. One of my favourite walks on the peninsula
Hi @seamushand8439, I most definitely was lucky. It’s a fabulous walk, can I ask, have you done it like I did in this video, or would ye use two cars? having to go around the golf course was a pain. It didn’t look like there was a path thru the course, just wondering did I miss something? Thanks again 👍
What distance did you cover. Thanks
This was about 12km. Np 👍
I love that place, spent a few year holidaying up the road near the tower, fishing off the rocks, is TP's still doing the fishing trips I wonder? Nothing but great memories down there,
Thanks Vinnie, I saw some guys fishing that evening and all I could think of was, nope, not down there. Sounded like they were having a good time tho. It was some spot they were in. I’ve no idea about TPs, quite a popular spot by all accounts. Glad you enjoyed it. 👍
@@eddieforde we used fish there also, worth the risk, lots of decent pollock , cod ,wrasse etc to be caught, I don't remember the walk being that wide though 🤔 either way its a stunning spot.
That’s class, it’s some place to be fishing from. 🎣 and yea, a fabulous spot on an evening like that, I’d imagine it could get pretty wild down there when the storms roll in.
@@eddieforde absolutely, make for some good photography as well though 😆
Brilliant. Thanks for sharing. God bless.
Thank you, glad you enjoyed it 👍
Thank you Eddie for your amazing videos and photos. Those colours!!! Did Brandon several times. No views the last times, but its always worth it.😊
Thanks very much MH. Agree with you there, Brandon is always worth it. I haven’t had it clear up top in ages, wouldn’t stop me tho. ⛰️👍
Eddie I'm now 60 and as a child we cycled from carrick on suir ever summer lovely to see again ❤
Thank you, glad you enjoyed it and that it brought back nice memories. 👍😁
Very enjoyable Eddie - thank you.
Thanks Tom , a one of the older shorter ones, but I still remember the day vividly when watching the back. A really nice, if sometimes wet, hike. 👍
Wow - very impressive!
That time of year again to head back to Killarney to see what they’re at this year 🦌
Eddie, that was brilliant. Thanks ever so much for sharing it. Mind yourself.
Thanks Gerry, it was a really enjoyable day making this video, so many great places to visit 👍
Nice 👍🙂
Thank you Stig, appreciated 👍
@@eddieforde 👍
Super stuff Eddie - thank you and the lighthouse was a super bonus! 👏👏👏
thanks Tom, another place that I have been meaning to get back to, but just havent got around to it yet.. the Lighthouse is really nice alright 👍
Lovely bird😊
Absolutely, was delighted to catch this on camera. 😁
I have one on my roof 😮
😁👍
Absolutely inspiring footage!
Thank you, it’s a pretty amazing hike 👍⛰️
I hiked it once before but the weather was miserable for filming, it’s on my hit list to make a sunrise video in the future! I can appreciate your skills with the shots taken..especially the opening shots flying over the mist! There is no better feeling than experiencing a day like that.. then getting home & reliving it on the computer knowing that you struck gold. I’m glad to have found your channel. Keep up the high standard! 🫡
I've been lucky , twice up Mweelrea and both times have been clear, altho the first time was fairly windy, but still grand. And yea, you know yourself, you take so much footage on the day, you're never really sure, you might have an idea, but never sure, and then to see a few shots worked out ok is pretty great alright. and that's just the drone, you should see the amount of "talking" that gets cut.. 🤣🤣🤣
Thank you for sharing! Lovely work.
Thanks for the nice comment Glenn 👍 glad you enjoyed it 😁
Was in Dingle in August. Did Slea Head drive. Next time I am getting out of the car…☘️🇮🇪
🤣 I would most definitely recommend it 😉
Having done this walk many times I enjoyed your take on it. I would encourage anyone who is in Killarney to get out and experience the wonderful scenery it has to offer. Thanks Eddie.
Thanks very much, and I totally agree. The video is 11 months old at this stage, meaning we’re heading in to the Autumn Season again, hopefully the colour will be as spectacular as last year 🤞. No where better than Killarney to see it. 👍😁 🦌
Awesome footage Eddie.
Thanks Michael 👍
Great presentation again Eddie. Walked that cliff walk when staying in nearby Carrick. As our American friends would say.... Awesome views... Some brilliant sunsets to be witnessed from there. Great drone work. Keep up the good work Eddie...
Thanks very much Dennis, yeah, some amazing sunsets from there alright. And bring that its so easy to get to, it could become a go to when in the area. 👍
An absolutely wonderful place
Thanks Gregory, it’s a stunning place 👍
Ah Eddie...when you get that far, you really are the Playboy of the Western World!
🤣🤣🤣 first time for everything
That's a sub from my channel great video
Thanks for the sub Joe and glad you enjoyed it. 👍
This time of the year it can change every five minutes You were in the perfect place-and on time glorious You had the bonus you had the scent as well
Thanks Brendan, yep, it was a lovely evening, a beautiful spot to watch the sunset. 🌅😎
Super stuff Eddie
thanks Tom. its a fantastic, and not too hard, hike. The conditions in this were very enjoyable and that bay for sunset was unreal altogether... I love watching this video back for the wind alone 💨💨💨
