C.K. Steefel is the actress who played George's girlfriend for that show and she was really terrific putting on that Fran Dresher-like act and accent with her own twist and take on it. She should have gotten a lot more work I think, maybe she didn't want to pursue the life-style but when you have landed a decent part on Seinfeld, added that to your resume, you were bound to have had your chances. She did have a part in "Ace Ventura", a few other movies, and you can find a lengthy online interview with her...
I love how Kramers coffee table book idea comes from this episode. “A coffee table book about coffee tables! Get it?!” Gidddeeeeuupppppp best show ever 😂
George teaching us that women can't resist antique furniture, prune juice, potpourri, and the Ray Conniff Singers - he's miles better than these so-called social media pickup artists 🤣🤣
Notice the craziness of George reacting to the water-ring on the wood from an uncoastered drink. Same bit was used by Larry David in CyE, "Respect Wood" S10E7, also with Jerry leaving a drink on a table.
I swear though this one odd little trivial thing about life comes up so often when defining social relationships. Are you the type of person that someone tells them to use a coaster or the type of person they would never bring it up to. Its more about the relationship than if you care about the wood. Whos falt is it. The person not using the coaster or the person who is creating the situation where its needed. And in this episode you get a perfect example of the power dynamic. Jerry is the one not using the coaster but he can avoid using one fearlessly because of his social posion over George. So George has to deal with the mistake and panic about it despite both not setting down the cup or creating a situation where there is no good place to put one.
That lady George dated is such a defined character. She works in her father's store, probably stayed or decided not to leave him after her mother died. Her friends moved on to bigger cities and the block became empty. She could have gone too, she is capable, her exquisite mannerism speaks of it, but she knows how to find peace, responsibilities over ambition, hence calm. She misses her peer group, so she goes easy with people when it comes to making bonds. She ignores George's irregularities with a smile. She values a good evening.

Jerry Stiller and Estelle Harris will always be legends in comedy acting.
They were brilliant - one of the best things about this great show.
I think we can all agree that our hearts go out to George Costanza for suffering the senseless and horrific tragedy of being George Costanza.
I don't know about that, George dated one drop-dead gorgeous woman after another. My own life is certainly a faaaar cry from that...
