He'll wander....aimlessly around the dial. LOL (a reference to the days when you had to stand up, walk to the television, and flip that channel dial, manually.)
Frank: That's it. You're grounded. George: You can't ground me. I'm a grown man! Frank: You want to live here? You respect the rules of our house. YOU'RE GROUNDED!
The line that Ricky (Sam Lloyd) has about The Twilight Zone ("Oh ... this is a good one") always makes me laugh. I just think he would probably find every episode to be good, even the duds--- like when the two siblings escape their bickering parents, via the swimming pool, to visit that old auntie who bakes cakes for children. :D
I always think of Jerry's line... "This is like that Twighlight Zone where the guy wakes up and he's the same, but everything else is different!" Kramer - "Which one was that?" Jerry - "I don't know, they were ALL like that!" 😀😀😀
TV before TV guide and before cable boxes/sattelite receivers bringing in UI overlays really was wandering aimlessly, thinking back on it. Probably why big blocks of shared themes/genres were so common place at the time.
I remember back in 2005-2006 when they stopped making the small digest sized books. It was very unreal. Like the end of an era. I was around 30 at the time and had never known a world without TV Guide. It felt bizarre almost. Now they've been gone for almost 20 years and I never give it a second thought.
$3 NYC food cart gyro, damn. I think they were $12 last time I was there and that was 4 or 5 years ago. Lamb over rice, spicy, extra white sauce absolutely hit the spot late at night. Anyone care to fill me in on how much they are now?
Jerry instigated the incident by giving it to her. Whilst she was in no position to take it without George's permission, Jerry should take some responsibility for the situation.
@@truthlifefishing1730 you dont have any point though all you're doing is stating the obvious that negligent character is negligent, okay great thanks for the insight and missing the point of sitcoms...
LOL! I always found it so fitting that Frank Costanza collected TV Guide. 😂😂😂
Started right after he stopped collecting silver dollars. He could never bring himself to spend any of them. He had some kind of phobia.
Vawlume fwahty one numba thoity one!
@@kevin15776 I bet that collection would be woith... Alotta money today 🫱
Krueger was fascinated by his belief system.
Undisputed champion in the annual feats of strength competition.
Best part is when Frank wonders how he’s supposed to watch TV without the guide
He'll wander....aimlessly around the dial. LOL (a reference to the days when you had to stand up, walk to the television, and flip that channel dial, manually.)
No the best part is there's always a guy waiting by the subway door, hoping to get a free gyro.
it was 2 weeks old!!
I prefer those days when you had a TV guide, now it´s all virtual and it´s much more complicated to know what´s next on TV.
"The Guide."
"Am I suppose to just turn it on....and wonder aimlessly around the dial??" 😂😂 classic frank
I wish more people had collected TV Guides, they're basically time capsules now.
My friend's mom collected Soap Opera Digest 😂
It's funny how they were right to do it
Frank Costanza: (shouting) And she's not welcome in this house! at 3:20 LOL
"You could have watched 6 hours of LUCY"! 🤣
Rip Sam Lloyd, he always knew how to play awkard characters
Loved him on Scrubs
@ComedyTV What, lol, how could you mix those two actors up? He looks NOTHING like Tony Shalhoub.
One of the moments when Seinfeld delved fully into surrealism.
Why, it is possible😂😂
The script writing on Seinfeld is next next level, I doubt it can be replicated or duplicated in this lifetime or another...
SCTV
I’ve seen people recreate it all the time but the magic is in the character actors
Frank: That's it. You're grounded.
George: You can't ground me. I'm a grown man!
Frank: You want to live here? You respect the rules of our house. YOU'RE GROUNDED!
Elaine, you look scrumptious 😅
Why'd you take my TV guide?!
what is this? you got stains all over it. what the hell'd you do?!
One of my teachers in high school collected TV guides and stored them on the shelves in the back of the classroom.
TV Guide? Or Readers Digest?
Was your teacher also trying to sell computers out of their garage? Did they invent a brazier for men? If so…your teacher was Frank Costanza
I love how the storyline of Elaine, Frank & the TV Guide guy collides with the storyline of Estelle's coffee table at the very end.
*That collection would be worth a lot of money now! 🤣 lol*

This is the same creep who would end up designing the Elaine mannequins 😂
Not really a creep. Just a kind man who's a bit goofy.
@Everything PC Gaming I'm assuming you're a man and never have been in a similar situation.
@@jdmmg4904 What situation?
He's a sweatheart.
@@MrLyosea Uh....designing a mannequin of a woman you just briefly met/interacted with is pretty creepy behavior.
Elaine's total non-reactions to everything happening to Kramer and then Jerry is underrated
"Elaine! Hello! You look scrumptious." 😅😂
“How could you let her take the *TV GUIDE!!!??* “
I wish this legendary gyro stand was still at Queensboro Plaza. I live in Astoria, I pass by there on the Q everyday
Finally I saw what that sign said 1:36
That IKEA in Elizabeth, New Jersey is probably in the same mall where Kramer got his air conditioner.
Watching the subway scene is probably the most New York thing I've seen.
Another one of those many best episodes - and the TV guide stuff is just the subplot! I always crave gyros while watching it ...
My mom used to highlight The Guide! Miss ya mom! ❤
One of the most NY things ever. Took his Gyro lol
The best episode ever
jokes aside, a full collection of old tv guide would be valuable and historic now
Estella..”Elaine Benis,she’s my son friend..”
Frank..”AND SHE IS NOT WELCOME IN THIS HOUSE.”😂😂😂😂😂 all over a tv guide
Am I just supposed to turn it on and wonder aimlessly around the dial 😂😂
1:13 *(THANK YOU)* Probably what that guy was thinking taking the gyro from Kramer.
One of my FAVORITES!!!!!!!
The way Ben Stiller's voice cracks when hes yelling "THATS MY TV GUIDE!"
Jerry
I'm surprised Ben Stiller didn't participate in Seinfeld, but did in Curb Your Enthusiasm...
Charge me a million! This is gold wrapped in gold, Jerry!
Al Roker. 😃😃😃
Used to watch the today show eons ago and catch the weather with Al...😊
Back when AL Roker looked like AL Roker. Before he lost the weight.
THAT’S MY TV GUIDE!
4:08 Elaine...Hello... You look scrumptious. (The Best!!!)
“Hello…..you look scrumptious”.
The guy grabbing the gyro and nobody even bats an eye is gold.
Hey free gyro who could resist
Best part of the episode is when Kramer drove past Jerry with the Cigar store Indian in the cab
Seinfeld needs a book like The Simpsons: A Complete Guide to Our Favorite Family..
3:15 -- Estelle volunteering too much information
TV before TV guide and before cable boxes/sattelite receivers bringing in UI overlays really was wandering aimlessly, thinking back on it.
Probably why big blocks of shared themes/genres were so common place at the time.
I use to collect TV guide lol
I kinda miss TV Guides.
"A PROFILACTIC WRAPPER!?"
*Prophylactic.
That's! My TV guide! Ripped to shreds! 🤣 "Frank".
The Cigar Store is in my top 5 episodes at least!

Aw, poor Ted.
2:55 That Frank Constanza rant...
"I made this for you💐"
Man, they cut the best part of this episode. The condoms….
It was a prophylactic
That's not how these clips work. That part of the episode is just not relevant.
@@arvindhmani06 they should have woven it in. Instead of the gyro juice ruining it George could have ruined it when he had the girl over .
