- On September 22nd, 2023, Brightline began operation from their new station in Orlando. In this video, we check out the new station, located in Terminal C at Orlando International Airport (MCO).
We then ride the very first revenue passenger train south to Miami, Florida in Brightline’s Premium Service. The train tops speeds of 90mph, amd will eventually be allowed to operate at 125mph over certain stretches.
So sit back, relax, and enjoy Brightline’s Orlando Extension!
The brightline trains don’t show up at all on google maps when searching for trips with public transportation between all the different stations/cities where Brightline has service. Please share this information with Brightline leadership and staff and people you know, so this issue can be fixed quickly.
It shows on Apple Maps though lmao. Google has traditionally been behind on their maps. For example the regional connector project for LA’s metro system didn’t show on Google maps until 2 months after whereas Apple once again showed the regional connector changes in just a day or so after opening. It is definitely a two-sided problem but Google really needs to get on top of updating its map in general lol
@@cy_torrentI know it shows up on Apple maps, still not the Orlando trains though, but I did specifically say Google maps.
Great trip! Thank you very much for sharing! Like 140

Can someone explain what is tri rail?
Great video!!
Tri-Rail (reporting mark TRCX) is a commuter rail service linking Miami, Fort Lauderdale and West Palm Beach in Florida, United States. The Tri prefix in the name refers to the three counties served by the railroad: Palm Beach, Broward, and Miami-Dade.
Brightline should reveal their monthly ridership numbers to the public on their website.
Nobody Is talking about the finger in the woum
The conversation gets a little saucy in the premium lounge sometimes 🤗
Just the typical conversations you overhear in a Premium Lounge.
I'm not gonna lie, it sounded comical.
One thing that I like brightline the trains don't need the Pantograph on the trains but max speed not even catch 190 mph.like HSR.
Did you have to go through TSA to enter the Brightline station?
They have a non-TSA security to enter each station.
5:01 wonder if this is a medical student…. Was interested in his convo. Lmfao.
Are there plans to electrify the Brightline system ?
Not at the moment. With the cost alone, it is currently not a logical way to go, let alone the logistical issues that come along with electrifying.
Notable issues would be along the shared freight trackage (i.e. clearance issues for double stack intermodal trains which FEC operates).
It is important for Brightline to get trains up to 125mph, and to ensure that their operation remains running as well as it does right now. Going overboard will just run them into the ground.
@@ForeLeafTravelYou can still electrify with double stacked railcars it’s been before. I do see your point though with the cost factor.
Brightline is hybrid, it doesn't need that. Just more crap to maintain, for no reason.
I do not agree with quiet zones, I think they take away from safety!
Agreed.
I always like to hear the sound of a train
Same.
New High-Speed Rail service is being offered on rail lines with Road Crossings with passive signs. Stuck trucks. 5 people killed yesterday on the CSX line, two years ago people died at the same location. And many many other tragic occurrences. Without a clear and dedicated Railway, anything over 25 mph is not safe for those on the ground. Old fashioned rail crossing guards are very expensive, perhaps new 5G technology can bring new safety equipment without the heavy expense, a flashing strobe light at unprotected Crossings activated by the distance of the train transmitting a radio signal to activate the light, perhaps solar powered with a battery.
People have been killed for years with freight trains because they have illegally cross the tracks Of course it’s always good to upgrade security.
Too bad they didn't electrify this route.
The planned Vegas-Southern California route will be electrified!
I hope the top speed on that project will be around 150-160mph. 170 and above is a dream.@@jamallhayden2512
already killed 99 people so far. OMG. safety is a must, folks
Under the current Florida regime under DeSantas, I will not come anywhere near Florida. Maybe in the future. Brightrline looks amazing.
