THANK YOU for posting this great video explaining BOTH cabins. (Your shots are great, your explanations are clear, your language is delivered at a nice speed. Nice job!)
Love that the ridership is already booming. Hopefully this will incentivize Amtrak to make more routes like this knowing that a quality product makes a huge difference and hopefully a collab with Brightline could be done in the future.
Seriously! I would be first in line if Amtrak expanded the northeast corridor to New Hampshire. I hate driving into Boston. A train line would be so much easier!
Amtrak gets pooped on a lot for some reason but we've traveled on them many times and I have to say they are clean and quiet and smooth in my experience. They have Wi-Fi and electrical outlets at every seat and a cafe car that opens periodically throughout the trip. On certain legs of the trip it can get kind of crowded, but not uncomfortably so. The only negative I can think of, really, is that the cabins can be extremely cold (like, I'm not kidding) so be sure to bring a blanket!
My autistic son loves trains and we have a trip booked for this Sunday. He has been counting down the days for over 2 months. Really looking forward to experience this with him.
@@incognito6751 It was awesome. Even though it was a long trip there and back and I was nursing a bad back we all had a great time. We have a local commuter train (also run by Brightline) that we use once in a while called Sunrail. He loves it as well, and it is very economical! Hey Vincent, I really enjoyed this video of displaying the ride from Orlando to Miami! I know you don’t do video request but it would be cool to do a video of what life is like living in Orlando outside of the theme parks (living, home owning, doing other activities) like a pros and cons video. Would love to hear your take on those things!
I just returned from a trip to Italy. They have a well developed highspeed rail system. They have 200MPH trains. That is exactly what the US needs. 15 routes running north-south and 10 routes running east-west. We could easily do 250MPH average speeds.
the problem is mosttrack in the US freight dominated. Amtrak Leases rail access from the freight companies that own the rail. If we want full high speed rail lines - we need dedicated track for these 200mph trains - Which might happen for the brightline west line between RC and Vegas.
Thank you for sharing your Brightline travel 😃. I now think that I will travel by that rail in the future. It must be relaxing and great not to drive all that way to Orlando. Thanks again.
I'm very excited to see the Brightline West is under construction, especially after seeing this! Reminds me of the trains I would ride in Europe and Japan. It's not as fast, of course, but very nice!
This is brilliant Vinny. We just got home to the UK from Florida this morning and saw the new train system, it looks so handy. Cheers as always for the fab video.
Excellent video, Vincent! Great coverage on the points. And there was something that premium offers that smart class doesn’t have. Which is upon arrival you can get a free Uber from the station or if the place you wanna head is within I think if I remember around 4 miles away from the station you can use Brightline’s mobility service to take you to that place. Great video tho, just thought about that since it felt missed.
So if you were dropping someone off to ride the Brightline in Orlando, where exactly would you take them at the airport? Is everything clearly marked? What if you were parking your car at the Orlando airport, is there a separate parking area for Brightline?
Looks great! So interesting to hear you say it was your first ever train ride! It makes me realize just how normal it is for us to use trains and public transport in Europe compared to in the US.
Thanks so much for making this video! We’re South Floridians and my hubby is excited to not have to drive to Orlando as much now that the Brightline is an option. Great seeing the experience before we buy tickets! Just a quick reminder- in Miami it’s Ver-si-yez 😉 But so glad you got your croqueta on!
Hey! I have a few questions: 1. How do you access the Brightline station if you’re taking an Uber? 2. Do you have to go through TSA to ride with Brightline? 3. Do you think it’s possible for an annual passholder to take a trip from Miami to Orlando to spend a few hours at the theme parks?
Orlando native here, eh I would say a day trip to visit the parks is probably pushing it. Mostly the issue is the long distance between the airport and the parks. Maybe if you want to drop $100 on Ubers. Finding a cheap Orlando hotel/airbnb and getting Brightline or even Amtrak the next day would be far more comfortable.
