I have yamaha r3 ,which has 11.2:1 compression ratio.and i normally use normal fuel. But had used HP power 99 many times.But theier is a huge difference.engine is much smoother with easy reves and better acceleration . Based on vehicles the results changes .

(Not a second hand car) & am travel around 40-50 km/day or less than this. I used to fill speed / extra petrol. But I personally experienced that, am getting low milage as the manufacturer said 24kmpl. But I am getting around 15-17kmpl or less than that.... I am motorcycle rider and I have been riding motorcycles for like last 10+ years. I have used almost all types of fuels except the super premium fuel. According to me what you have told is exactly correct. Most people are not aware of the issues of using high octane fuel in normal motor cycles. "" Major point being the fuel burning at higher temperature and as a result the engine gets heated very quickly "" It can alter the standard performance figures in a negative manner and efficiency of the machine when doing touring. Thanks for sharing such a wonderful piece of information with us all.

It depends, Not only the octane and heptane values matter. The sulfer content which is found in the crude oil is also a major culprit to deteriorate the power and finally ends with metal fatigue. The hydrogen which is entering with the natural air into the combustion chamber gets a chemical reaction there and it becomes H2SO4, is you know; sulfuric acid. In refinery it is possible to remove 100 percent sulfer free fuel. But we have to pay almost a double price to get that fuel, so they leave a certain percent of sulfer in the fuel, and SAE lube.oils acts a major role to remove the sulfer without mixing it with the oil (it will float on the oil surface like balls) and eventually deposits in the oil filters/centrifugal filters. Thank you very much for detailing the power/speed fuel, in which big tycoons are looting public🙏
All people asking which fuel to use. Just check your owners manual. It will say which octane rating fuel. If it doesnt say anything then, that probably means it will work with normal fuel. High octane fuel wont damage your engine though. 99% of time, Only expensive high performance vehicles like Mercedes Benz, BMW use high octane fuel (Still check owners manual to confirm). Such vehicle must use high octane fuel for good performance and for health of engine. Even then, in modern benz and bmw, the computers and sensors should detect knocking (due to normal fuel) and adjust ignition timings to prevent damage to engine.

It depends, Not only the octane and heptane values matter. The sulfer content which is found in the crude oil is also a major culprit to deteriorate the power and finally ends with metal fatigue. The hydrogen which is entering with the natural air into the combustion chamber gets a chemical reaction there and it becomes H2SO4, is you know; sulfuric acid. In refinery it is possible to remove 100 percent sulfer free fuel. But we have to pay almost a double price to get that fuel, so they leave a certain percent of sulfer in the fuel, and SAE lube.oils acts a major role to remove the sulfer without mixing it with the oil (it will float on the oil surface like balls) and eventually deposits in the oil filters/centrifugal filters. All people asking which fuel to use. Just check your owners manual. It will say which octane rating fuel. If it doesnt say anything then, that probably means it will work with normal fuel. High octane fuel wont damage your engine though.
99% of time, Only expensive high performance vehicles like Mercedes Benz, BMW use high octane fuel (Still check owners manual to confirm). Such vehicle must use high octane fuel for good performance and for health of engine. Even then, in modern benz and bmw, the computers and sensors should detect knocking (due to normal fuel) and adjust ignition timings to prevent damage to engine.
