I purchased this knife in 2014 when I got married and moved to our first apartment. We lived there for 3 years and I never changed the blade, didn’t even turn the blade around. When we moved out, the blade was basically all pieces except this very tiny tip that still remained, I just never wanted to take the time to take it apart to change the blade!
I only carry Milwaukee knives.. I love the size, the weight and simplicity of the things... DeWalt stuff just seems to be too gimmicky every time I buy something DeWalt..
I’m a professional handyman now, but many years ago I bought that Home Depot knife just because I needed something cheap and didn’t think much of it. Now I know!
I rock the Milwaukee but the Dewalt is awesome too and honestly feels a bit sturdier just is too bulky for accuracy. I know a lot of roofers that prefer the Dewalt for good reason I prefer the Milwaukee because I'm often making close cuts and it's less bulky at the head at least which let's me hold it like a paint brush. It's still very sturdy but will not outlast the Dewalt. A weird case of that as usually In my experience it's quite the opposite.
@@spencerchristie4000 thank you for this information and sharing your experience. I’m a fan of the sturdy feel of the Dewalt, feels like it will really last be a while. I have other tools as well for when I need a precise cut.
@luisangelmedia4459 absolutely, honestly there would be a better tool for the precise stuff I do, I've just learned to be somewhat ok with it as I leave my work bag when I have to crawl or go through stud walls. End up needing more then I have and making it work with what I got.
@luisangelmedia4459 oh as a side not the clip one the Milwaukee comes loose after a fee months and I typically remove the screw and jb weld it back in seeing no issue after that. The Dewalt clip seems much more durable
My dad was a drywaller and he always kept a fixed blade on his tool belt.
Fixed blade is also good for when you need a steady and firm grip on the blade.
The little lock on that dewalt stopped working on mine. I’m stuck with the same blade
Sorry to hear that! I’ve seen it happen before on one of my other knives, I use a small screwdriver to press the latch inside to let go of the blade.
I’ve owned this utility knife for years and I hated it because I did not know it was quick change blade. Thank you.

I understand, Milwaukee is a great brand!
Great video man
Thank you!
That's right, it takes my precious time, my 3 daily hours watching videos on RUclips.
It has also become my evening pass time 😀
i go with Stanley same features possibly lighter
Can’t go with Stanley either 👍 thanks for watching my video!
I prefer Milwaukee.
Another great brand for sure. Thanks for watching the video!
Nice video, but do you have any advice for choosing a screwdriver?
I do!
The Home Depot is an older model Stanley
Thank you for sharing that, I was not aware.
Milwaukee fast back utility knife for the win
It’s quite popular from what I’ve seen.
It's my favorite EDC knife. The one with the bit holder... I keep a tiny DeWalt box in my pocket full of different bits I use every day
@@colesmith4694 That’s great to hear. I’ll have to pick one up next time I’m at the store so I can also give it a try.
Also don’t forget to vote for Pedro
Yes!
the difference between buying a tool you make a living with or are you just a do it yourselfer

All quick release blades are worst invention for bench knives.
Could you please elaborate more on this? I had nothing but good use out of my quick release blades and I have owned a few.
