i have repaired countless cellphones amongst other super delicate items. it just comes down to having patience. take your time. if it was assembled. it can be disassembled.
Hi! It's not the shock that is the problem, it is the pin that they use metal rod that connects to the bottom of that shock is too much play iron mountain bikes and they do not clunk! Hi fix the problem myself I went and and brought a good quality Phillips head screwdriver made of Chrome Molly, cut it to length , it is slightly larger diameter and has to be capped in rather than the original pin just falling out plus I'm 57 in height, I also cut 100 mm off the height of my stem/steering tube and it ride's much better!
Either 1)watch tire change videos before purchasing or 2)purchase cheap scooters that can be ditched. Made me appreciate the cable disconnect and ease of use on my InMotion Hillclimber. Not in the same class as your scooter.
Dude I had almost the same repair experience!! The repair videos are not practical. I Had to replace the rear tire valve stem. I had parts all over the place for a month and just got it running a couple weeks ago. I took it to a tire shop for help and together we got the tire back on the rim. It’s not possible alone. To re install it I had to elevate deck on 4 2x4’s to be able to have the rear suspension hang and slide the wheel back in place.
Hey Matt! First of all, I see that you improved the color grading for this video :) It looks so much better, great job! The GT1 was a bit of a dream scooter for me and it breaks my heart to hear that it's this user-service unfriendly. I appreciate how through and practical your reviews are in that sense. Now I know I probably ought to steer away from this one in the future. I was wondering if maybe you had some experience with Dualtron scooters? I've heard nice things about them, as far as reliability and repairability goes, but most of their models don't get much coverage in English-speaking countries. Any general impressions of them, or Minimotors as a distributor?
Thank you! I use phantom luts and I turn up the saturation in DaVinci resolve. I don't think Chinese electric scooters are a very good product. If we look at GoPed, I don't think there are reports of their stems snapping ever. I personally recommend people get into motorcycles if they want a similar experience. I don't think I'll be buying another electric scooter anytime soon. I may look into buying an EUC.
@@Matt_Dylan I understand completely. I want to believe in the promise of the electric scooter because I love the idea of a relatively capable, clean vehicle that I can carry around in one hand, but trying to find anything I consider acceptable quality in the industry has left me a little jaded too. Right now, it feels like they're cheap transportation and little else.
Ok,But strobe mode should be banned, it's very blinding! Very dangerous for the person coming in front, whether it's someone on a bike, car, electric scooter, or pedestrian. The road is not a nightclub ! * Those who are afraid of technical problems or complicated or expensive repairs can choose the Ninebot Max G30 2. ,.. not afraid of the rain either 😊 ! I hope the Ninebot Max G2 is as reliable, I don't have enough perspective
glad u got another one matt, i think the gt1 is way superior than most scooters, this time matt if you replace the tire just get a new wheel assembly, thats what im goin to do, my range is about 20 miles for all modes, im goin to take mine to a segway center if i tear up a tire, happy travels matt, thanks for a review
The problem is that the motor is permanently attached. I could splice in a disconnect maybe. After seeing the reports of steering shafts breaking though, I'm not sure what I will do. Thanks for watching!
@@Matt_Dylan what I’m probably going to to do Matt is try to find a local shop that might have experience in changing the tires or wheel assembly, I’m in Tracy ca so I’m close to San Francisco, 53 miles , but the Los Angeles facility is 400 miles probably have to go to SF uggg
I have a feeling that if you take it to a Mexican tire shop, they might be able to help. That's probably what I'll do next time. It's just difficult trying to do it by yourself.
My honest opinion: apart from it still being too expensive, too small battery for the price, and having no disconnectable cables, and i wouldn't buy this one either but i will Never buy a scooter with split rims so long that means you need a freaking inner tube, and it also means you have a rim that's less structurally sound, which isn't good enough imo tubeless is Superior, harder to remove but damn some good tire levers, zip ties, a good technique and boom, tire replacement is easy

This comment ignores the point of my cell phone comparison.

Yeah it's unbelievable. They need to add a quick disconnect to the motor.

Haha thanks man. I don't think people like me usually do tech reviews.
