A 'degree' in English from Millwall sixth form college. Of course we know he has it as it's his opening gambit to anything and everything. He is actually proud of it! A good degree in English from a proper college would also have emphasised that 'working-class Tory' is a contradiction in terms. Clearly south-east London has had a greater influence than the lecture theatre judging by the knuckle-dragging opinions.

I notice how the main people whining about being censored are middle aged dudes whose careers died in the 90s before most people at uni today were even born, or hacks that nobody takes seriously anyway. Maybe people are of the opinion that comedy should actually be funny... I can't believe he's put a laugh track over this shit... Holy crap, I’m just watching Geoff’s Live At The Apollo set on repeat in Australia and had to instantly look him up. So funny, the concentration camp being closed had me, literally, crying with laughter and worried the new family dog.

It's funny how People believed Nish Kumar's The Mash Report (the show this clip is from) shouldn't have been on the BBC because it was too left leaning for a publicly funded licence fee show. Yet they also believe left leaning university students should be fine with paying tuition towards a university that funds right wing speakers.

The thing is I've always recognised that some men are psychologically and emotionally female and can only be happy if they are allowed to live as women. I have NO problem with this. The problem is that it went from that to 'no, we literally are women in every sense of the word'. To make sense of that you need to re-write the science of human biology on the basis of strongly felt opinion not better science and we've ended up with the absurdity of some people shouting from the rooftops that trans-women are women but calling biologically female women 'menstruators, people who give birth etc' to AVOID calling them women. It's insane. Also men like me who would never harm anyone still adjust our behaviour towards women in many places because we have penises (according to the law an essential part of rape) and the women don't know us. But if I take my boxers off and put it in a pair of knickers and declare myself female I can demand the right to go into those places because my penis now gets a free pass. The real point is that we can't now openly discuss this without being called fascist, transphobic, hate mongers, TERF etc. I've been a leftie since I was sixteen and still am and I refuse to imitate the extreme right in their habit of rejecting accepted science as though it was just an opinion.

Geoff I often disagree with you but on this issue I totally agree with you. I thought universities were the very place where debate and ideas could be openly aired, obviously not.

@@mogznwaz You can have an opinion but if it is the wrong opinion then you can't keep your job and pay your rent.
That is the big stick they have, there is a reason why we decided on having laws to have agreed standards of civil behaviour, it's so that we aren't ruled by tyrants. They have no power in government but all the power in telling society what opinions we are allowed to have, the sheep have been programmed.
This will swing back it will take a while and it will be painful but we need to do it.

Universities stopped imparting knowledge and have been teaching opinions and intolerance which opinions and bigotry are finally leaching into my world.
Are you sure about that ?...I went to university for 8 years and ended up with a fantastically well paid career; and from my experience students are intelligent and discerning enough to make up their own minds due to the central principles of critical reflection

Please read my comment as it's written and not contort it with bias. I was given book-lists and opinions tailored to the spirit of the age during the first half of the 1970's at University. I had a fantastically successful, interesting and well-paid career which was totally unrelated to my field of study. Meanwhile there is much anecdotal evidence out there, if you open your mind to it, to suggest the 'ologies' and liberal arts are teaching ideologies: gender studies, sociology, psychology, women's studies et al are doing just what my comment says. Take a look at Bret Weinstein and what happened at Evergreen State College, there are many many other examples.
