INTO THE FIRE // LYRICS:
I'm not too sure what I'm supposed to do with this
These hands, this mind, this instability
From a cage I created, to a hell that heaven made
Can't let go of the hatred, cause I love the way it tastes
I wouldn't take back a moment, not one miserable moment
I'll give it all, 'til there's nothing
I'd walk into the fire
I've come to terms with the fact I'll never change
And that's just fine, I find solace in the pain
I don't mind the darkness, it's easy on the eyes
I'm praying for something to make me feel alive
I wouldn't take back a moment, not one miserable moment
I'll give it all, 'til there nothing
I'd walk into the fire
I'm a paranoid, sycophant, masochistic dilettante... Narcissistic elephant in the room
I'm the end of the world, thinning the herd, the all around outta my my mind, fucking absurd I am gone, I am gone

I know the guys in AA will probably never read this but this song was released on my dad's birthday. He's been gone for almost a year now and I didn't realize how much my dad and I had bonded over Asking Alexandria. I've seen them live with him 3 times over the past 6 years and each moment was better than the last. You guys helped give me memories that I will treasure forever. Thank you. Also, I'm 100% sure he would've loved this song just as much as I do.
This needs to be thumbs'd up so it can be seen
Kat Craig thank you.. ❤️
thats beautiful, i wish you all the best
This needs to get sent directly to the band dude get that story out there
Antonio Montana thank you for the support. ☺️
people actually dont like his voice? its so powerful... its amazing.
He fucked up his voice by drinking and smoking too much and also by improper screaming
Danny sounds cool in album versions, but not live
@@Airmode9000 freaking agree with you
I thought he sounded amazing live. Saw them back in April. To each their own I guess.
I love AA, but he just does not sound good live.
@@Airmode9000 i dont think danny smoked, and drinking actually hydrates you, drinking dehydrating is a myth
I can't get enough of Danny's voice. One of the best (and underrated) singers currently out there.
very true
Yeah, so underrated, every schoolboy (girl) knows him
Ah I see. People that haven't listened to the live version yet :')
Not a hater, just an honest man.
Wish i could vote 10k times
Hes definitely not underrated. Just sadly a lot of people who listen to them, at least that I know, don't listen to their newer songs. So they don't know how good he truly is. But still not underrated.
If you're still listening to this masterpiece, you've a good taste in music.
AA never let me down.
i'm not a barca fan, but i then definitely got good music taste
I cant help but hearing: "I will give it a FIIIIIIVVVVVVEEEE .. give it a FIIIIVVEEE"
". .Into the FIIIIIIVE"
:D
I can't unhear this... hahaha
lol, you're grasping.
Why you do this
song ruined, rip
'Moving on' - Danny's leaving song
'In to the fire' - Danny kills old Danny to be come reborn Danny . Danny's returning song😂
Slumpedxx I was thinking that yesterday
Slumpedxx the old danny can't come to the phone. why? cause he's dead!!
(i actually hate that song but it was the perfect meme)
The Music Plug 203 that's how I think of the video🤷🏻♂️😂
natalie 😂awesome meme‼️
He became the Iron Fist
This was the most perfect balance of instruments, good vocals, and screams. Plus that bass line is just 👌
I think they leaned on the vocals more like 65 percent vocals 35 drums bass and guitars because if they added more raging guitars it would’ve swallowed the melodic aspect that makes this song so badass and uplifting Danny gonna soon be up there with Chester Kurt Cornell Layne Stayley Mike Patton etc of distinctive voices this generation will remember
The bass line wasn’t even that good. If you want a good bass line, listen to Dead Bodies Everywhere by Korn
@@jonathankelsey1432 Are you going to ignore the fact that over half of the song has solid baseline in the background, Plus it’s not korn it’s not supposed to smack you in the face, the baseline just adds ambience which is what the song was going for
@@YTCProductions it’s weird that bands like asking Alexandria and bring me the horizon go from making let’s just say shit metalcore In the beginning and then become absolutely amazing artists within 10 years. Like especially Bring Me the Horizon, they’ve been helping to produce songs for movies and bands that aren’t even theirs.
@@communism_is_wrong7167 it’s part of evolution
Adapt or perish
This song is one of those songs that just stays in your memory, forever.
MASTERPIECE
Concordo. SRN
The old Danny killed all the members, and then the new Danny come to see his members dying, Great new music, the video as well, i think they tease us for the heavy stuff soon
Reza Ruki holy shit. I get it now. At first I was like wtf does this mean lol
Its like how they felt when danny left
I thought of the same thing. Danny came to fix what he broke.
dannys vocals in this song are fucking sensational
"I don't mind the darkness, it's easy on the eyes"... ...
I mean for me that's genuinely true because my eyes hurt when I'm in a really bright room or just outside
You don't need friends when you have a Asking Alexandria playlist
underrated comment 😂
For real
Sic
So real bro!
How true
Remember that this song is a radio single. It's obviously not going to be the heaviest song on the record.
Swagsui Uchiha exactly and band never release the most heavy song but a good mix
i'm iniquity is one of the most heavy songs that i heard from AA, you can listen on the demo
Caliel Alves what do you mean? The demo was leaked?
its not even out and if it does send link
demo was leaked, there's a couple f youtube videos up on it
2:09 is my favourite part you can both see and hear the emotion. This song is pure art and I'm SO glad AA is back and better than ever
I honestly got goose bumps from this song, not to mention the acoustic version. I cannot get enough of this song.
The vocals and lyrics in Alone in a Room and Into the Fire are so amazing and I am so astounded by how amazing his voice is. It's powerful and these songs definitely have meaning behind them. Love it
I'm impressed with this song.
Wtf?
VΞGΛEidolon lol why?
i really like it too, sound hard with noises but with a soft voice , i love it also lyrics like it
who isn't
Me too, just not the guitar playing. Ben Bruce has always been the weak link in the band imo
Am I the only one who comes back every day to listen to this masterpiece?
Florian Sevenfold no your not😂😂😂
I've come here at least once everyday. I do believe I've found my most-played song when their album comes out.
Listened to it twice in a row there and twice earlier on... so about the 4/5 times within 24 hours. Want to be able to fully enjoy the song in Jan when I see them live though.
I can't wait for full albums dude
nope i do it like 30 times a day xd
WHEN HE SCREAMS LIKE THAT (INTO THE FIRE PART) GIVES ME GOOSEBUMPS. ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT 😲
To me, this is their best song. Personally, it speaks to me about the phases we go through. Feeling lost, self-destructing, and embracing that we're flawed and being reborn.... Then repeating.
This song is almost a perfect description of how you feel after you beat a really brutal addiction. The line "i wouldn't take back a moment, not one miserable moment" describes how when looking back at all the hurt and pain it hurt so much but it also helped you grow into a much better, more thoughtful person who is much, much more aware of the effect you have on the people around you. I destroyed every good thing in my life in a constant effort to be sober for as little time in a day as possible, cocaine, ecstacy, any alcohol i could get my hands on, and many other drugs, truth be told i would take anything that wasn't an opioid or a hallucinogenic, i destroyed a relationship with my dream girl by only showing up to have sex and sleep after weeks long benders, i neglected every friend that i wasn't doing drugs with, i destroyed everything and i regret every moment of it, but i wouldn't change a single thing because i am a much better man now because of all that suffering i both caused and felt. I am hyper aware of what every word i use can do to the people around me, and every trait my current girlfriend says she loves about me is a direct result of the lessons i learned as an addict. My only wish is that i could still remember everything while all those i hurt don't feel that pain anymore. I love this song because it reminds me of the boy i was and the man i am now.
@@daltonevans3412 going thru an addiction rn and couldn't agree more
probably not best song but best NEW song
My favorite is cut it out the black w the demon lady and the viewer discretion advisory I know you asked me so I'm telling you
This is the best video game song in years.....
Oh man. This is that gooooood shit. So proud of AA and how far they’ve come.
Danny is becoming a vocalist we will remember through the years, Chester Bennington, Chris Cornell, Layne, etc. His voice is truly powerful and you can feel the emotion through the way he sings his words
dude, you are 100%... why would you not wanna hear this side of a killer vocalist. He simply finds screaming boring, cos it's 1 dimensional. You grow up and you grow
don’t forget Craig mabbit
@@alecbaye9703 love Craig mabbit, but he's kinda like the Brent Smith of the metalcore world he dodges all high notes cause he simply can't hit em anymore
With songs like The Violence, that was released recently, he won't be remembered like that.
Dont forget Corey Taylor!
"I wouldn't take back a moment, not one miserable moment" that line alone always gets me. Even our hated memories are an important lesson for us. That line and this song are exactly that point to me.
This song is art, and it should be cherished by newer generations too.
When you watch the music video it shows their past as a band how Danny left them and then realizing what he left behind. It was really well put👏
antonios134
You and me think alike my good sir.
I see your point. I was curious as why it was stated "Continued" in the beginning. But if this is true, how does it explain the deaths at the end? No negativity here btw.
Chase Haggenmaker I think the video is a story told backwards, the video begins with continued and ends with to be continued. I think the story starts when Danny kills them all, goes until the end of the video, and then goes back to the beginning. That would explain the "continued" at the beginning.
I like how they did their videos on the album Reckless & Relentless. It made me curious to think that it was a continued story from those... Who knows, but this is gold.
Nah dude. Danny already stated the theme, and motivation behind the music video.

I didn't know how much I missed Danny until now, I've gotten a little emotional.
His voice is so powerful and each one of their songs has a really powerful and deep meaning behind them. Keep up the good work AA
The lyrics and video to this song always get me a little choked up. I've witnessed family and friends who went through some very destructive times in their life often hurting those nearest and dearest to them. Even when a friend or family member would deliberately put themselves in harm's way to try and prevent them from going too far. Ultimately, it is only you who can stop yourself and end the cycle of self-destruction. GREAT song with a GREAT message. Thank you, AA.
Danny's on a quest for his cowboy hat back
Danny's voice is so unique. How could you not like this song
different vocal ranges i love it
Man i feel like danny has more range now than he did before, his voice sounds great now
Yup everyone who thinks otherwise is dull
@@Shingypoo "If anyone thinks different they're dumb" nice way of thinking
I went to a AA concert last year and Danny was drunk for the first 3 songs and this was one of them and it was stupid funny he was mumbling the words
His range is burger King n McDonald's. Sounds like shit live. All produced, don't be fooled.
@@mikemarkin8106 ruclips.net/video/7TpEQiLYoJo/видео.html you sure about that?
Such a Great SONG!!! Amazing vocalist and message. Such a BANGER!!! The passion in his voice. SO GOOD.

Oh god... That's horrible 😞😞
I don't mind the darkness, it's easy on the eyes, I don't mind this band, it's easy on the ears
Ladies and Gentlement please welcome the new Asking Alexandria
The tears never fell so hard from my eyes...Drawn so emotionally to the lyrics.
I love this band !! the voice, lyric, and sound reaches my soul and helps me release any tension I may feeling that day !! Thank you Asking Alexandria for existing in 2022
The AA Family is finally back!!

Matheus Coronado yep
This guys voice honestly brings me into a whole different realm ! Like wow.
This song and music video hit me in my soul. I love the way they show Danny's inner battle between his good and evil side. I loved how they show Danny driving up and seeing the wreckage old Danny left in his wake. The ending where Danny confronts himself and takes him head on it brilliant. I can literally feel the angst and rage in the evil Danny when hes screaming, writhing on the steering wheel, and everything else.
-you can't make Asking Alexandria great again!
*Danny* - Hold my beer
Luka Solomnishvili this is the best thing that I've ever read lol 😂

Me too man, I missed him lmao
Raptor.1 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Such an underrated vocalist.
The LSS that's gotta be a joke.. like yeah, he's brilliant but he's definitely not underrated, nor is he overrated
I mean definitely underrated according to his talent, I mean u look at oli sykes that guy cant sing at all and is still more well known in the industry, Danny sings on par with a lot of well known singers in the industry but still less known comparatively.
This song was playing on the radio as my mom and I drove to the funeral home for my dad’s funeral. He died suddenly in a hunting accident. I had listened to this band for years, back into high school, but never had a song hit me so hard as that day in the middle of my first semester at college. It was really symbolic, as none of us were wanting to face his death, but we had to “walk into the fire” and attend his funeral as immediate family.
I hope you guys are doing ok now.
This is amazing. I’ve listened to this whole album on loop all day at work today.
In my opinion, this is the most powerful song that AA ever did. Glad you came back Danny
Ok, that's my point of view about this.
The beginning is Danny currently returning to the band, regretting and blaming himself for being what he is but can not stop being (an asshole), finding all members of the band dead / dying in the middle of the path while going to "redeem," himself, for he knew that it was he who caused it. When he stops the car against the other car and enters the part of the screams, notice that the letter begins "I'm a paranoid, sycophant, masochistic dilettante ..." and so he goes on counting his defects, then a frame for him current pointing the finger at the head, showing that what happened to the band in the sequences of the video was a consequence of his defects, cause he was a narcissistic sociopath, the elephant in the room (the center of attention), out of his own mind, showing that fame got into his head. Now watch the video again thinking that Danny in white is the current Danny, and Danny in black is his feelings at that time when he left the band, in which he was hurting everyone he loved in the band because of it until leaving. In the end the car crash only makes it clear that in the end they were the same, only fragmented, the asshole Danny and the cute Danny.
A summary, when he's wearing white, it's what he saw when he joined the band again, and when he's wearing black it's what he has done before leaving the band.
I just decided to post this here to see if someone actually thought the same or am I just the one who's paranoid. lol
Matheus Moda couldn't agree more. I've been thinking the same thing since I first watched the video. I'm very interested to see how the two other videos link up with this one. Because the start of the video says continued where the end it says to be continued. So there is obviously more to this story and mini movie that they have made which I can't wait to see
I've been trying to piece It together and I think you got it honestly! this album is going to be sick. Not in terms of, oh it's not as heavy, but more so, this is fucking different but its amazing. Danny got better, in a lo of ways. That also includes his creativity with his music. But yeah, all I think about is what this video is trying to tell us. I need lyrics to really get this down pat.
lyrics are avaiable on the description xD but yeah, i cant wait to see the new album
Matheus Moda as soon as I made the comment I looked and saw them 😂😂
Matheus Moda agreed its basically good vs evil Danny
This song will forever be a classic
I solid haven't listened to AA since 2013 and this just pulled me right back in! Definitely different music style since then but by god are they still amazing.
Good to see Danny looking healthy again.
Rory Thompson hahahahahahaha xD
THE COWBOY KING HAS RETURN!
yeah lml
YEEEHAW
Returned?
Ghost Killer Entertainment DAMN FUCKING RIGHT HE HAS
Sharlene Norman fuck off
One of my favorites. Me and my dad rock out to them all the time.
Jesus christ! The vocals are 100% beast mode! Damn...unbelievable tone shifting, screaming that rips thru your soul, and clarity is solid AF!
Now this is an improvement
I enjoy the idea of this music video. This, is pretty much, exactly what happened when Danny left. I'm glad they are actually addressing it instead of saying "Oh, that's in the past, we don't talk about that anymore." When he left, it was a huge deal in the scene. I remember me and my friends asking each other why he did it. But, to see Danny actually knowing, acknowledging, and showing remorse is fantastic. To Asking Alexandria, if you ever see this, I love you guys. Good music, and music video for this.
The dopest video and when it's metaphorical meaning hits you you watch it again and again with reverence for the vulnerability
I absolutely LOVE THIS SONG . ITS LIKE MY BREAK UP SONG WHEN I GET ENOUGH. GOSH I WISH I COULD meet the singer . He's obviously been through some sh*t. I have since I was 15. I'm now 32. But this song makes me feel stronger than
WHAT A MASSIVE MASTERPIECE!!!
I’ve listen to this song three times already this morning. NEED MORE PLEASE 😧
Jacob Alexander I'm at about 3,000 times just get better each time
This video is so amazingly put together. Really tells the story perfectly. This song still hits as hard as it did the first time I heard it.
Can’t believe it’s been 4 years already! I still remember the first time I heard this on my way to work, stuck in construction….I was at a standstill, pushed the “info” button and took a pic with my phone so I wouldn’t forget this song, I instantly loved it from the first time I heard it….thank you octane
2:53 is the best part !😍 i love how danny is screaming😘
Fernando Placeres wrong. Listen to the teasers.
2:53 best part
absofuckinlutely
The guitar tone is next level. you could tell that the entire band was feeling this album.
If only they continued on with this sound rather than going full dad rock.
Well the main song writer is a dad...
This is pretty dad rock too to me and there's absolutely nothing with it unless you can't move on from 2010
@@gsgreens6373 It's amazing if all you listen too is the same 4 riffs played over 12 different songs that all have the same song structure and slightly ok choruses over a couple songs.
Malcolm true. I enjoyed their older albums but thought this was a really cool direction. They kind of fucked it up with like a house on fire
i'm fine with their new style. i like this more but i like the new stuff too. and the old. i like AA in general
Danny’s vocals are better than ever!! Like fuuuuck those groovy tones he has now are amazing!!
Jamie Kaufman you could say he's back and better than ever
I still see people hating their "change", if you really listened to every single album of them you'll see that they ALWAYS were metalcore, and they still are, but every album has his unique sound, Stand Up And Scream has the old "scene" type of sound, Reckless And Relentless has the party metalcore sound, From Death To Destiny has the more regret, mature metalcore sound and The Black has the "modern" metalcore sound.
That's what i love in AA, they still are metalcore but, they change it, they always come to new ways to do it...
Luke Phantomhive I feel this metalcore would have a hard rock nature to it. And I guess some'd say FDTD was the hard rock one but IMO that's the As I Lay Dying style low pitched one.
David Reignbringer for sure, Break Down The Walls sounds very hard rock
V:
I'm sorry, but I don't know what universe you live in if you call this metalcore, in the same universe, I'm shitting vodka drained gummy bears... It's not bad, but this is FAR away from metalcore. Screaming =/= metalcore.
You're defining the albums all wrong. They're very literally representing the state of mind of Danny at the time. The first album was their standard metalcore breakout success. After the band blew up in popularity, he wrote about how much he loved being a huge rock star with an abundance of drinks and drugs. "Reckless and Relentless" was how he lived his life. After his on-stage drunken fuck-up that got him sent to rehab, the 3rd album was all about redemption and becoming sober. He gave up drugs and distanced himself from his possible death to find his destiny. They even mention rehab in the first track. This song, and probably album, will represent a new life in the band.
Our new album #SeeWhatsOnTheInside out now! askingalexandria.ffm.to/swoti
great album
Yo that's dope. I can turn it all the way up and it doesn't hurt my ears.
awesome mix that's for sure
I was a bit worried about Danny being back, but after hearing this- those worries have gone into the fire :)
XD best way to put it
Very nice
into the FIRE THEY WENT!!!!
I thought he was leaving AA after this album? Didnt he state it somewhere?
bASED no he Just said that he talked to ben to make this album after the album e does not know but i bet he will stay on AA . He is just the rigth guy for the band . no one can replece him
AA wasn't the same without Danny, sick video boys
Legendary.
I agree but I did think The Black was a good album
UnitedFor DC really? Personally I couldn't get into it bc of Danny and Denis' vocal differences, that's just me tho lol
