I remember listening to this continuously as I studied fluid dynamics in college. It shouldn't matter why, but everyone should understand the amazing performance that Hands Like Houses put forward.
It was acid wasn’t it
I STILL come back to this video because it is one of the most magnificent creations of this genre. Truly so good.
I would STILL pay big bucks to hear an unplugged/acoustic set by them.
11 years later and i still
come back to this every so often
completely untrue. rise have been absolutely fantastic and trust us completely with our own direction and everything we do. great people and they believed in us when others didn't.
Can you upload this to spotify pleaseee?? 😅
The Lion Skin one is honestly one of the most beautiful things i've ever heard in my life
They really NEED an Acoustic Album!! Because their Acoustic versions are good!!
gunboss201 Have you heard Reimagine?
Johanna Vels Been hearing it, I hope more is coming in the future.
Hands like houses music is like an adventure you have never experienced. They became one of my favorite bands very easily. :D
the reason Ground Dweller is their best record so far
To this days its in my top 2 freshest albums. Ive listened to alot too. Channel orange and dmb2 are fighting for number 1 in my mind. But theres some stuff by woody herman a jazz drummer and carinetist that is wildly fresh for the 40s. But overall those 3 albums apply theory, polyrythms and syncopation better than any other albums ive heard. Or singles for that matter.
I hope youtube lets the artist see how many times I've hit the replay button.
Let's just say its been over 9,000
Trenton has such a gift. The range, that grit. Buhh.
LMAO what's 'buhh' are you a Comanche from Lawton?
They spent like 10 hours in the cold filming this for us ...if that isn't dedication I don't know what is
They've "stripped it down" to the acoustic sound, but it still sounds so complex and gorgeous.
One could argue that they haven't "stripped it down" at all.
Because this is awe-inspiring.
Easily one of the most talent bands in this "scene". Musicality wise they seem to be the only band that actually knows what they are doing. They seem to be the only band that understands how to write a composition rather than a breakdown. Kudos to rise for signing these guys
Still listening, Amazing every time thank you guys for this 😌🙏🏾
Bleeding Through have been signed for YEARS man, absolute years.
Listening to this masterpiece in quarantine❤️ love u guys, big fan
I have been going back and forth between these 2 snow sessions videos for the past week.... i guess I'm a fan
i dont usually listen to post hardcore bands, but when i do it'd be hands like houses. much love to these peeps! love yall
I literally have no words to say. Just listen to it.
This reminds me of my grandad. Lost him last winter and its all coming back. Im stronger though. Lost my father in law at the beginning of the week, these are songs of mourning for me now.
I am here (2021) in the pandemic listening to this. It sure gives you another feeling
I keep coming back to this
Words cannot describe how much I love this.
I will never understand how they are not extremely popular at this very moment.
Their lyrics are thought out and not random words.
Their music is well put together and they have so much raw talent.
the most amazing acoustic-band on earth
Can't stop listening. Please come to Canada
I love this band so fucking much.
I literally JUST fell in love with this band tonight. Already hooked.
Chaning Marsh I fell in love with this band today.
I know how do you guys feel. It happened to me too (:
they are um matched by any other band I`ve seen. ridiculous amount of talent in them
+brian price there's plenty of bands who's muscianinship is stellar beyond words tho
Hands Like Houses is life
Man... What I'd give to be Australian.
i see what you did there! haha
hahah JC as fuck tho ;) love it
That whole album of his is great
DeeLowFuhSho I feel your pain all to well
Johnny Craig reference??
I've been a fan of hands like houses since the beginning and id really love to go see these guys play one day its at the top of my things to do before I die c:
Update I’ve seen them 3 times since then 🫶🏻❤
All their snow session videos make me sob because they're so beautiful.
Need a song in unimagine to be this way
Try their Reimagine album. It's not exactly acoustic but it has an acoustic rhythm to it.
Much love from Colombia, Amazing band.
i fall in love with this over and over again
These guys deserve all the success in the world. Incredible talent and incredible music.
I can't get enough of this!
You guy's are amazing so refreshing to this scene.
And whatever way you guy's go musically or personally i think you'll alway's be an example to other musicians and people, as you are to me.
it is on the album its called "dont look now, i'm being followed, act normal" and yes it would be amazing to have the acoustic versions of the songs on the album.
7mins of eargasm..thanks
I wish I could buy this via CD/DVD. Perfection.
I can only imagine the love you can make to a song that you brought into existence. This band is so legit.
These guys are seriously amazing. Their sound is so original; acoustic and not. I can't wait until they get big and get the recognition they deserve.
I'm glad you guys responded, it's also good to see Rise aren't steering you in their directions either. Much, much respect.
This band is so incredible. Saw them on Scream It Like You Mean It last summer and they played acoustic after the show outside the venue, which was one of the best things I've ever heard lol. Nicest dudes ever.
Even better, release it as a DVD, AND a EP!
these guys are gonna get bigger and bigger and bigger, look how talented they are
omg... hands like houses ..... love this banddd...
Great music, great video, in my opinion keep it all in black and white, looks incredible.
I'm glad this music came into my life at such a decent time. So many bands and songs are sound tracks to bad decisions and years of my life.
I'm literally in-fucking-love. I've been listening to this band for a year and a few months, and I can't stop listening to them.
I love every album, Especially: Ground Dweller
This band is so magical & perfect in every way.
Can't. Get. Enough...
Just met them in DC. Great guys.
great band .. great signer, great music..
And they did this in the cold! Fantastic.
This band has helped me through so much with their meaningful lyrics. I absolutely love them.
I think it goes both ways. You could also say that an acoustic song would have a new life if played with an electric guitar. But.. damn this version kicks ass.
2022 and still want these exact snow sessions on spotify
im i the only one who can't stop listening to this?
this is an amazing band, mixing blues guitar riffs, RnB vocals, and hispanic guitar strumming patterns is fantastic!
currently most consistent band on the planet
One of the best voices in the scene
Just got into them today, where have they been all me life :)
I hope you never stop making music
I've been playing guitar for 11 years now, and I was studying music theory for a year before that, and all that Coops plays in this are jazz arpeggios.
BEST BAND EVER!
acoustic session...outside....in the snow....with great music...yup, I think its pretty epic!!!! :D
saw theses guy about 4-5 years ago In buffalo ny amazing live
Just amazing, simply amazing.
The acoustic version of Lion Skin is perfect.
I love how they work together. it's so inspiring.
I love this band so fucking much. They sound sooooo good live. And they were all cool as fuck when I met them
They remind me a lot of Emarosa/Dance Gavin Dance but I actually like their music a lot more. And Trenton is awesome, got to meet him at Warped this year!
Alex always has that pleased smile when Trenton hits a nice note :)
RIP Jamal's presence in the band
Sam Simpson I think he became a teacher, Trenton said it in a live stream I think.
If he became a teacher then good for him. I'm sure anyone in this band would be a better teacher and parent than half of the people in this world. This band hits me hard. A lot of my family recklessly carries guns and messes with a lot of drugs. Every time the part of my family that hypes of gang involvement tries to bring that or even come in to my life in general I end listening to Hands Like Houses. It is relevant because they have kids(my niece and nephew) who are always around that. It makes me beyond angry, but if its true one of these guys became a teacher then it gives me hope. I am proud of this band either way.
Man their cd is a part of my life now! such a big influence on me! I love the way that all the musicians in the band to me feel like they stand out all together as a whole! where as some bands have their instruments stand out more than the rest. everything is perfect and well organized!! Haven't stopped listening since its been out and i just want to thanks Hands Like Houses for getting their sound out! Can't wait to see these guys May 4th in Chicago!
You know what I love about you guys, more then anything? Your music is amazing, you are really nice dudes, but what I really love about Hands Like Houses, is that you are connected to your music. Intimacy flows through each instrument and voice so naturally I have no choice but to enjoy it simply because I can see and feel that each one of you play with your heart, and believe in what you do so passionately. Its immensely refreshing to see true musicians in the scene again.
can't wait to play with you guys June 23rd in El Paso :D you guys are my favorite band!
im in love with these guys
My favorite band of all time and im so stoked for their new album!
i'm always so utterly blown away by your talent at turning amazing songs into amazing acoustic songs. Yet another priceless aspect of your brilliance.
the perfection of Alex is overwhelming....I can't hnnnnnnng (6:31 - 6:34)
never stop writing songs, nobody won't stop listening to it i bet
That I can understand, there are parts of the album that sound like Number[s], and HLH was in the studio with WIM during part of the recording. That's also why Hands Like Houses is mentioned in On Veiled Men.
Better than the original Lion Skin... Love you guys..
Keep it up on the acoustics they are fantastic
I love them so much.
absolutely perfect. this is why they are my favorite band. flawless.
I'm back in 2020. Still still loving this
I love them too much.
I'm more a heavy metal type of guy but hands like houses is one of my favorite bands. There music is just wonderful and graceful I love every minute of it! :)
I watch this video every time I have a chance, it's just so amazing and perfect.
the harmonies in "Lion Skin" are just amazing!
I still beautiful as the first time I saw it, is just amazing the composition and the tones! fan since the first days.
Lion Skin is sooo good acoustic!
So glad I found these guys :-D XP
i had to come to youtube to liek the video because i don't think FB will let me like it more then once... oh well, can't wait to see you guys in Texas!! taking a few peeps to get a look at ya!
The singer has an AMAZING voice. Wow
I am seriously in absolute love. Please do more of these.
OMG! so good I've been waiting for this for so long thumbs up if you agree Hands Like Houses is the best!
