It's time to solve the issue of this CR250 engine not wanting to shift. I'll be doing a complete overhaul of this two stroke powerplant so it's getting torn all the way down.

Between the music and you working, I am so relaxed....
Your videos get better every time 👍
Hey man. Just got into the dirtbike game and let me say your videos are extremely helpful! The way you edit these make it easy to understand and honestly the way you clean aluminum is addicting to watch. Keep up the excellent work!
I was expecting bad things in the transmission. So glad it's all in decent shape. Looking fwd to the next video.
Can't wait for the finished product! It's going to be so sick! Keep up the good work
Even seasoned mechanics could learn a thing or two from you and your videos! Great job and keep em' coming
My favourite channel. So good to see someone go through & show how it’s stripped down with each & every peace. Even the background music gets you into the magic of what’s happening. 😃✌️
Your video quality is so good!!!!!!!
You have the most addicting videos Cameron!!!! Who won the bars?
CHASE EKINZ 42 i want know too
@Domenic Steenland you’re right nobody gives a shit you’re a spammer
Hey Cam. I am surprised that the bottom end was still in relatively good condition. You were lucky. As always another great Vid.
Your 2 stroke videos are great! I like them better when real time like this one. That way you can see all the parts and the correct order.
Loving the build. I am amazed at how comfortable you are stripping that bike down to the smallest of parts. I could never get it back together.I came back to motocross 2 years ago after 28 years off!! I couldn't stand the thought of buying a 4 stroke even though I thought it would be a lot easier to ride. I went ahead and bought a beautiful, brand new, 2016 YZ250 and I love it every time I ride it!!Keep up the cool vids!
easily one of my favourite guys to watch on youtube! keep on keeping on dude you give me motivation!
Keep up the great work, loving the series and can't wait for more!
I love watching these videos, The music is awesome and watching him work on the bikes is so relaxing.
Watching all the videos of tearing down and parting out bikes. I've been waiting for a tear down and build. The most satisfying thing is when I can get a bike for cheap that looks beat, then go through the bike (not quite as deep as you are) and completely transform it.
I like how you make these videos and it’s helping a lot of people out when I’m doing work to my dirtbike and don’t know what to do on something you aways have it in your videos
I have an 04 CR125 , so its nice to see a CR taken apart! Thanks!
All your videos make me want to rip up my 2008 CRF450X and re-do the whole thing. Thanks for the awesome content!!
Great shooting video and Great explanations, it's always a pleasure, Thanks Cameron !
You are a beast my friend. Remembering where all these parts go would be a challenge for me
i watch your videos for satisfaction. Taking all those bolts out satifys me! Your vids are informational so that helps me put a lot.
Cant wait to see the outcome of this build
have fun cleaning the frame in the cold lol cant wait for the next vid
Thanks for the parts and tool list..these videos get my approval
Great vid Cameron as always looking forward for next upload and always great when get the notification that you upload new vid thanks for sharing and taking the time to read the comments
Really like the step by step.....also, no funky music to detract from the video....great job!
I like these types of videos I’m learning so much from you, thanks for sharing bro!!!
Awesome video man!! Love the music you put with it and just everything about it!

Awesome rebuild. Things are coming together nice. Nice job.
Killin it can’t wait to see where this goes

Can't wait for the next vid!!! keep it up man loving these bike rebuild videos!!
Hey man love the videos here from aus, keep em coming been learning heaps off you. Thanks legend
Just for the next video you will be doing aluminum cleaning. Could you do also aluminum polishing with a Drill attachment and aluminum polish to make it look prime 😊.thanks man keep up the amazing work
Can't wait to see together . U make it look so easy👍
Great troubleshooting demo on why that didn't shift. Made sense to see it but was not thinking that prior. Thanks.
Totally hooked on your channel!! Keep it up man!
I had this happen to me before on a yz125, fixed the shift shaft changed the seal and it was good to go!
Why did he or do you have to pull the flywheel off like he did to fix the issue he had on the other side of the case????
Enjoy all your videos..keep up the good work!
Nice work dude. I found this video to be very educational and helpful for my situation.
I have a 1994 kx250 engine that goes into 1st gear and barely goes into neutral and that's it. I'm going to take apart the outer case to see what's going on inside. If I get stumped, I will refer back to this video to see if I missed something. Until then, thanks again. 😎👊
Cool gearbox intro
So many pieces & kinda clean
Great video my friend @cameron Niemela you sir are a wiz at this motorcycle stuff
This is so cool. I've always wanted to learn about this
I always love your videos very entertaining and mesmerising and very informative on how to certain things and I managed to get my Rmz 450 frame looking pretty like new just with your help so I want to thank you on that one 😌 you deserve more subs as it really helps by watching your videos and they are just so fun to watch too as I am very interested in bikes and if I knew more I would buy and sell bikes like this in parts but I don’t know eneugh
New sub bud.. i can't belive I'm just coming across this video.. Sometimes I choose the worst weather to work in.. and with a simple phrase in my head.... ain't nothing gonna stop me to do what I love 💯
Yo Cameron!
Thx for all your help brother, your videos have been more than a blessing!
I am restoring/rebuilding my yz125 because nobody could find the reason for the problem it had.
The bike will not shift on high RPM but needs the RPM to settle to below 5-7K for the gear to get in.
i too discovered the same problem you see on 2:43 which no "mechanic" saw but does anything else cross your mind?
I hope you feel better already too!
my prayers for an easy going recovery warrior!
More exciting content lately with CR project. Please do more projects like this in the future.
Omg its a new video love them and thanks for it 🤤🤤🤤🤤
I just bought a 2003 cr250 that runs... Was just kinda beat.. should have her good to go this weekend!! Love the videos!!
You know your way around these motors realllllly well man. Respect
Thanks!
I always split the cases from the left like you did in this video , also I recommend sending that cylinder to u.s chrome those people there have been good to me over the years and the plating is way better than oem .
Love the vids keep them up!
👌🏽👌🏽 waiting for the next video!! ✊🏽

Thanks very informative thanks cannot wait for the next episode
Yeeeesss I absolutely love your vids keep the uploads coming!!
Hi from Bulgaria, Europe
I watch all videos from your channel !
And I have a advice:
Why don't you take a picture before-after and showing to us - I know you record it but in pics it will be better i think -
(as we all just love that before-after shots)
I think it is better to see you rebuild bikes more than scrap them and sales the parts. Following this project with more interest than your other vids. Keep up the good work.
You are an inspiration Cameron, good clear content and quality workmanship, one question though, have you noticed the mag wheel cleaner strips the zinc coating off steel parts like the small brackets riveted to the frame and rivnut inserts? or have you not run into this problem, I use aluminex which is a ally boat hull cleaner but need to keep it clear of zinc or anodised parts, keep up the great vids and happy new year from New Zealand
Sweet little montage about tearing down the cr 250 engine!
I started with your brother but cars are too expensive so I kept my 2013 accord and just started flipping and working on dirt bikes full time 💯🔥
Can't have enough man keep it up!!
Can't wait for the next one!
Could you do a full, detailed vid on rebuilding an engine from the ground up? Really enjoy the vids and tear downs, but I think a full rebuild would be pretty neat!
good video keep going i have one RC valve and i like your work and videos. waiting for more hug from portugal
Cameron, really Iove your videos and the quality at which you get things done...keep up the awesome work !! I'm the same way and you remind me alot of myself. I've really been stressed the past five days...This video helped chill me out. Sadly my christmas really sucked !! my 2016 Husqvarna TC250 was stolen 2 days before christmas early morning from my garage. The next day I filed a police report, a few hours later the scum bag listed it on Facebook marketplace as a dunlop 250 dirt bike for $1500. My cousin contacted him pretending he wanted to buy it...we set it up to meet with him at a gas station and had the police come. The police made us wait at a gas station down the street and they went to meet the guys at another gas station, Two guys showed up but they didn't have my bike, they said it was at another location and did not cooperate and said they were selling it for a friend...long story short, I didn't get my bike back and the police couldn't detain the guys..what a joke...I think that was my one chance and now I don't think I'll ever see it again !! I am by no means rich !!...this was the newest bike and was the most expensive thing I have ever owned...It just really hurts.
Bummer man, so sorry to hear that. Keep your head up and post info about the bike everywhere. Facebook, instagram, craigslist, etc and someone will come across your bike.
Yep, definitely keepin my head up. I've posted it all over the place and have got some great leads from people this has also happened to...looks to be the same guys doin it. Fingers crossed !! we'll see what comes of it.
Thanks buddy !!
nice man I'm doing the same thing right now just took it apart last night.

3 people commented "First" how exactly does that work? lol. can't wait to see the cr250 running, i'm buying a cr125 and rm125 project here in a few days.
Thanks so much for the video. Just realized now that I assembled the shift pawls incorrectly.
Or maybe its different on a cr125r
It's -30c here. The two wheels are up for a few weeks, RZR time now
Nice video always learning
Do you get your bikes off of CL and are you aware of all the problems before you buy them? P.S. Love the vids and can't wait to see the bike when it's all done.
i have a 2006 crf250r and on the track out of no where i thought a 450 was behind be but it was my engine making a loud ass noise but it was still runing though.i took it back to my house and watching your vids convinced me i should take it appart myself and i am right now im taking of the flywheel and clutch basket ...the top end is off and my engine in on the table. but there is a problem i always have the engine turns anytime i try to to take a bolt of how do i keep it looked without damaging the parts inside the engine
Why would people give it a thumb down I don’t understand all Cameron vids are excellent 👍
I always split from the left, so much better IMO great video!
How did you learn all of this?!?! Do you have a video of a basic dirt bike disassembly for like cleaning the frame components etc?
Nice work!
Awesome video dude
Love your vids man
Love the vids, keep it up! Just have a question, how come you don't work on quads?
Loco como va soy Juan de Argentina. Como la tenés clara con esos motores y para limpiarlos te admiro hermano
Awesome progress! If you decide to part her out I'll buy that frame off of ya haha
Great job man!!
