I believe that most of the "robots" in this episode should be classified as something else because most (almost all of them in the list) of them were manned and controlled/driven by a human. So if by the standards presented in this video, our cars and airplanes are robots.

As I recall it was a more advanced Kuratas then was shown here, and an upgraded MkII. They had two rounds, with the Kuratas knocking down the MKII as shown here, but in the second round the Kuratas was rendered inoperable.
that one is not standing alone its attached to the tower with hydraulics and what not heck in the videos you can clearly see it not even standing on the floor but being held up by basically a stick in the back. its sick though!

Robots have come along way in the past few years, our technology is moving at a pace that has never before even come close to this progress, Robots just a very short time ago could not even stand up and move over any type of obstructions.

I agree. These machines fail miserably for military use. Most any country with a 50mm gun would make them scrap. But there is another beneficial use for them that can work. Rescue operations. To you and Daniel Toth's comment. You both talk of not seeing any use for it. What can it do? That tech could save lives. It could be useful in natural disasters. Clearing away debris to access the injured after a huge earth quake in a big city. .... I would not be surprised some accountant would find a reason to say it is cost less to let them die. Ref Flying cars: Never going to happen, with human pilots. People can't drive regular cars, can you imagine the damage that a 2-5k pound hunk of metal would cause falling from elevation? Insurance costs would be out of reach for everyone except the same people who can afford helicopters today.
