My shih tzu has a bear that is bigger than him but still super lightweight. He’ll grab it by the foot, flip it into the air so it lands over his back & you just see the bear moving into his kennel. He’ll then crawl from under it & climb on top of it to nap. Happens around the same time every day & he drags it back out into the floor after his nap. 😂

she has mentioned in another shih tzu video that she knows she’s pronouncing it wrong but she says she pronounces it that way because that’s how everyone in her area calls them. and yes, they’re lovely little nugglets! 💕
I am the proud owner of a Staffordshire Terrier puppy. He is so cute. I got him about a week ago. He is such a good boy. Today on his walk he saw two people and a dog he is unfamiliar with and he just sat down. This is a taught behavior. This part of his training is more for me than for him. I am a very proud pet parent today.
he looks just like our old man shih tzu did as a puppy. the dark spots around their eyes make them so damn cute. his colors have faded out a lot over the years but the fluffiness remains. 13 years strong :)
Ok, Joey radiates epic levels of cuteness, no question. I was heartened but not surprised to see you allow him to sniff the clippers before using them. You are truly a pro. This is a tactic I used almost daily in my career as a Pediatric Nurse. It works just about every time.
No, they are saying that you should let the kids ,or puppies in this case, inspect, hold and play with the medical instruments before starting a treatment or medical procedure. It can relax the kiddos and build trust. That better be what they are saying, it does sound a little too literal lol😅
I learned this with horses. And donkeys, cows, chickens, geese... Though I'll bet you get just as much gumming going on with the kids! Kids gotta taste. 😄
This dog definitely knows just how cute he is, and knows how to use it to his advantage. And I am 200% falling for it: i would give that baby my credit card details if he asked for them.
That is the most well behaved lil guy I have ever seen. The treat distraction technique was executed perfectly here. 🙅♀ 😊 🫔 👀 He is too adorable and reminds me of Gizmo or an Ewok.
I used to have a Shih Tzu many years ago, Harvey was loved by all, especially my dad, who never wanted a dog but decided he was his son and kept him all to himself :) They never seem to grow old, just slow down as they get to about 12. Harvey was almost 14 when he went and seeing this little fluff ball makes me desperately want another.
It’s so much better when breeders condition their puppies to grooming from the start! I remember when I dropped my miniature poodle off at the groomer’s for the first time since I got him and he stole her heart by falling asleep with his snout in her hand while she shaved his clean face. 🥰
Once again, I have changed my mind about a breed of dog because of this channel. My neighbor had a Shih Tzu when I was a kid, and it was snarly and mean, so I didn't have a good impression of the breed. Thank you, Joey! You are such a sweet thing!
I have a Shih Tzu and Chihuahua mix. She thinks everything is her friend. She keeps sneaking her toys outside to try to play with cats, raccoons, a possum... she just can't comprehend that something exists for a purpose other than accepting all her love lol
They are such good dogs honestly. Love my shih tzu - he is so completely cuddly and has such a big personality! They are also quite chill - they like to sleep a lot.
Love the story of the toy-sharing Shih-Tzu mix! 🥰 That's both hilarious & so cute! Must admit I've never been a tiny dog fan... Met way too many whose owners skipped training them and indulged them cos "Aaaw they so cute & smol", leading to very dangerously stressed out & aggressive dogs? 😒 But this wee boy is super well-behaved, & especially so for a pup at his first spa date! Thumbs up!
So freaking adorable!! You work magic! And I love how you let him win a little bit during the chase, too. Makes him feel powerful, like he won after all that hard work chasing!

I just rescued a shih tzu last year, and I love him to bits. He is deaf however, and I've been finding it pretty hard to do basic grooming with him without noises. He seems so depressed and like he doesn't know what's happening, and I just wanna tell him he's a good boy but can't lol. When we have the mobile groomer round to get a proper full groom he's fantastic with them and he always seems to be refreshed and super happy for days after, so I'm guessing the previous owner did that a lot.
Reminds me when my mom rescued a sickly shih tzu puppy from a puppy mill and we all fell in love with him and convinced her to keep him He was also afraid of the broom because it fell on him once He lived to be 15. RIP Furby.
My aunt has a Shi-Tzu and she’s the “doggiest” dog I’ve ever seen! She LOVES rolling in the dirt and wet grass!!! Anything that has an earthy aroma she’s rubbing herself in it!! So friendly! Such BIG LOVERS in a small package!!
I've had 4 Shih tzus and they've all been just the most beautiful, loving, and gentle puppers. Popping them on a low table for daily brushing gets them laid back with the faff of grooming super fast. They pick up tricks and can understand commands so quickly, so smart and yet total derps xD Gonna stop typing now cos my Pug is giving me the side-eye...

she has mentioned in another shih tzu video that she knows she’s pronouncing it wrong but she says she pronounces it that way because that’s how everyone in her area calls them. and yes, they’re lovely little nugglets! 💕
Yeah, I am aware of that, but I still pronounce it improperly because it's too engraved in my brain😅
13 years strong :)
the way he chased after the broom melted my heart
Ok, Joey radiates epic levels of cuteness, no question. I was heartened but not surprised to see you allow him to sniff the clippers before using them. You are truly a pro. This is a tactic I used almost daily in my career as a Pediatric Nurse. It works just about every time.
You have your kids sniff the instruments? Lol
You clippin’ your patients, eh?! :-)
No, they are saying that you should let the kids ,or puppies in this case, inspect, hold and play with the medical instruments before starting a treatment or medical procedure. It can relax the kiddos and build trust. That better be what they are saying, it does sound a little too literal lol😅
@@jakeragsdale even if they did mean "let the kids handle the instruments to build trust" i wouldn't be surprised if some kids DO sniff them as well
I learned this with horses. And donkeys, cows, chickens, geese... Though I'll bet you get just as much gumming going on with the kids! Kids gotta taste. 😄
6 mins in to his first professional groom, we got a treat grifter. Such an adorable puppy
This dog definitely knows just how cute he is, and knows how to use it to his advantage. And I am 200% falling for it: i would give that baby my credit card details if he asked for them.
@@tjenadonn6158 🤣🤣🤣🤣
His little head tilt at 8.00❤
Had the pleasure and babysitting one of these.
They really are little Ewoks, only less tribal and more cuddly.
My god, that puppy puts a smile on my face
I’ve never seen her so captivated by a dog’s cuteness 😂 I totally get it
My Shih Tzu was very good tempered and adorable ❤
That is the most well behaved lil guy I have ever seen. The treat distraction technique was executed perfectly here. 🙅♀ 😊 🫔 👀 He is too adorable and reminds me of Gizmo or an Ewok.
I used to have a Shih Tzu many years ago, Harvey was loved by all, especially my dad, who never wanted a dog but decided he was his son and kept him all to himself :) They never seem to grow old, just slow down as they get to about 12. Harvey was almost 14 when he went and seeing this little fluff ball makes me desperately want another.
Awww mine is 15 but yes he started not wanting his toys about 2 years ago. Hopefully I have another year with his fuzzy face.
It’s so much better when breeders condition their puppies to grooming from the start! I remember when I dropped my miniature poodle off at the groomer’s for the first time since I got him and he stole her heart by falling asleep with his snout in her hand while she shaved his clean face. 🥰
He is so precious!!
He’s adorable ☺️ he’s like a little fluff of fur running around 😆
Thumbs up!
I’m overwhelmed by the absolute abundance of fluffy cuteness 🥰🥰🥰
As a former Shih Tzu puppy owner (don't worry, she's just not a puppy anymore) - they're as cute as they seem in the video
The way his entire head disappears when he dives into your hand for treats 💓💞💓
He looks just like my little Nugget when he was a pup. We had almost 15 incredible years together. This made me miss him so much
The most adorable little bundle of fluff!!!
So freaking adorable!! You work magic! And I love how you let him win a little bit during the chase, too. Makes him feel powerful, like he won after all that hard work chasing!
What a absolutely beautiful and so cute little puppy he was so well behaved on the grooming table.i would like to take the time out to appreciate all the hard work that Vanessa put's into doing all these beautiful dog's and cat's and I would like to take the time out to thank Vanessa from all the dog's and cat's that can't say it for themselves you do a fantastic Job Vanessa you are a fantastic person with a heart of gold 💛
That is a 12-week old floppy moppy! 🤎
Sweet lil pupper! You were so good with him, grooming for esthetics, health, and socialization.
Joey has also turned my day around he’s SO CUTE 😬❤️
Vanessa, Joey is . . . about the cutest thing ever! The depth of his bark was a total surprise! WOOF! 🐶💟
I think that was the groomer making noises to distract him
His little Alfalfa moment on top of his head is just about the cutest thing.
My family had a Shih Tzu named Toby that crossed the rainbow bridge last October, he was 16 years old. Seeing Joey reminded me so much of him and I hope he has the best life a dog can ❤️
what a happy little nugget! I love seeing how you work with puppies to get them to enjoy the groom process
Ditch the kibble. #rotationalmonofeeding
He's so precious, I just want to squeeze him like a stuffed animal! He was so good for his groom too.
I could not stop smiling the whole video 🥰
Reminds me when my mom rescued a sickly shih tzu puppy from a puppy mill and we all fell in love with him and convinced her to keep him
He was also afraid of the broom because it fell on him once
He lived to be 15. RIP Furby.
Seeing Joey trot around with his toy in inexpressibly adorable.
This dog just wants to play and have a good time. Sooo adorable.
He did great for being such a young puppy
My aunt has a Shi-Tzu and she’s the “doggiest” dog I’ve ever seen! She LOVES rolling in the dirt and wet grass!!! Anything that has an earthy aroma she’s rubbing herself in it!! So friendly! Such BIG LOVERS in a small package!!
puppy fur is so fluffy and springy and he's such a good boy I want to give him a million kissies ;u;
Awe, so cute. I love Shih Tzus & Shepoos too. My dog was a Shepoo.
Rip Peanut. Love you & miss you.
So sorry for your loss ❤
@@ES11777 Thank you. 🙏🏻
What a gorgeous little lion! Thank you GWTD for delivering on that serotonin boost that was promised. Your channel is wonderful.
He’s just the cutest thing 🥺 I would love to see more appointments with Joey
Although my dog days are over, this brought back wonderful memories of my Lhasa, an ewok who graced my home and heart for 17 years.
Love his chubby puppy body and how his hair stands up like a mohawk.
His lil tippy taps everywhere!! It's so cute!!!😭
He is so stinking precious!!! I wouldn’t get anything done with him around!! He looks just like my friend’s havenese pup! So cute!!! 💗💗💗
This was the biggest serotonin boost of my week 😩 He's so cute I can't handle it
