There are a lot of mindless videos on youtube and I have probably watched most of them. Recently my life hit rock bottom with my anger and outbursts and that led me to seeking help in understanding my anger and emotional health and I gotta tell you, your videos are inspiring and extremely helpful. I looked all over RUclips for help understanding my anger and your videos have led me closer to peace and to ending the angry violent person i had let myself become through passive unawaredness of my mental health. Thank you for making them and for dedicating your life to helping people be better human beings. Much peace. Matt-

I love that your room is kinda cluttered and plus no guitar, makes you seem authentic. I'm enjoying this series, much peace to you.

Great tactic, hard to practice. I am currently trying to make some space between action and reaction so that I take nothing personally. It happens so fast and natural to react with the harsh words and actions from anger which then Leads to depression because I hold it in ( I don't want to end up in prison for hurting someone ). I feel like I need a new view or a new software update in my brain. So I come to Dr Conte for advice ( software update )then put it into action. Thanks Dr Conte for everything you put out.

Man thank you so much Jason. I appreciate your words brother. I definitely agree with you that sometimes this all can be tough to practice. I think it can be easy to toss out advice, but it's tougher to live by it day in and day out. The fact that you're challenging yourself and pushing yourself to learn constantly shows that you have a great chance to be successful at it. Sending you all my best, brother. Much peace!

With four kids I will definitely use this. Something about hearing you say “wish you much peace” made me relax and breathe a sigh. I plan on sharing your channel with some friends that would love your videos. Thanks again.

Brady Tercha Man I love hearing you were able to breathe a sigh of relief. I don’t just say “much peace” randomly, I breathe out compassion as I say it to genuinely try to send it to others... so please know I’m sending much peace to you and your four children. 🙏🏼

This is precisely the conclusion I reached, and probably the best lesson I learned from the non-violent communication lectures of Marshal Rosenberge (despite its flaws)- No one can really make you feel anything
That part that reacts is in your head, no one is forcing you to feel a certain way

A jewel of truth to instil in your kids, "I don't like it, but I can handle it", so that they grow up with healthy beliefs.

Great reminder that understanding is just the first step, after that is the work to learn and retool our actions to get a handle on our emotions. Thanks as always for a sharp reminders and learning lessons.

Once again Christian, GREAT vid. Please keep up the great work. I truly believe you are helping a number of folks with their problems/issues. Could you do vid on how to break through our denial and begin working on what we need to work on. Keep up your great work.

Thank you so much Doug! Yes, that idea resonates with me for sure. I have a plan to do one on the stages of change, so I'll make sure to emphasize breaking through denial for sure. Thank you so much for the idea! Much peace brother!

Wise Ole Epictetus, how did he figure it out? Been reading up a bit on Albert Ellis and REBT. It's sinking in, ... my mind is marinating in these concepts, ... and its sinking in.

Dr. Christian Conte i make it a habit to rewatch you videos as you are way easier to understand than the ancient philosophy. Without Yeild theory i never would have had intrest in a stoic mindset. You truely deserve a Nobel peace prize from my perspective because you set me free from my fog of emotional irregularity.

I really appreciate your words. Knowing that these videos help you in any way is the reason why I keep doing this channel. Life is so short, and I don't want to leave this world without leaving an impact. Much peace!

Dr. Christian Conte hey i wanted to say its hard to measure ones own impact when standing in crater in any current direction your looking its possible to miss the affect behind you. Also consider from my perspective your impact has had a tremendous affect. Keep thoses videos comming brother!

Mr. Spock of Star Trek is the best example. Controlling your emotions is the best thing for peace.

    • @DrChristianConte
      @DrChristianConte  6 лет назад

I love the example of Mr. Spock. In fact, when I teach something called Transactional Analysis (I will do a video on it for sure), I sometimes use Spock as a model for the "Adult" ego state. If that sentence doesn't make sense now, I'm hoping it will after I do that video... lol Sending you all the best and much peace!

So if someone cut you up and you think ah well, I wish he'd hadn't done that, he has got away with being disrespectful to you! I can't do that.
