This is fucking awesome. Just started watching you a few months ago and easily one of my favorite channels. I think it would be cool for each new season to have the sauces curated by a different hot sauce guru and do a tasting like this as a teaser for each new season. I really enjoyed watching this episode and can't wait for the new season.
That's actually a great idea. Like an introduction to what the guests are having that season, which sauces to pay attention to etc. Cool idea!

THESNEAKERADDICT Ik but they themselves don't own all of the sauces they use besides the "Hot Ones" Hot sauce. wouldn't they run into trouble if they sold kits using those other sauces that belong to other companies?
They don't seem to have all the sauces used regularly on the show. Most of the first sauces used in the Hot Ones lineup (Sriracha, Tapatio, Texas Pete, Tabasco, Cholula) can be found in grocery stores, I think I've also seen the "Pain" sauces in some grocery stores, El Yucateco, Mad Dog and Blair's I've seen on Amazon (along with the others mentioned).
Heatonist seems to have 5 Sauces that at one time or another were on the show:
Hot Ones Hot Sauce, High River (Rogue), Queen Majesty (Red Habanero & Black Coffee), Bravado Spice Co. (Ghost Pepper & Blueberry), Torchbearer (Zombie Apocalypse).
Now that I think of it, where does one get "Da Bomb" from?

Colon sensitivity to capsaicin varies dramatically from person to person. Some people are in blistering agony down there, others feel absolutely nothing. DNA is weird.
I have to say, I eat all kinds of hot sauces and whole peppers and I've never gotten this whole "Oh, you're gonna shit fire later" thing. I doubt Sean has much trouble with it. I certainly don't and I'm predominantly Swedish.

I got this one called "Scottys Triple Threat" made with Carolina Reaper, Moruga Scorpion, and ghost pepper. It's stupidly hot but actually taste good. Would be perfect for them wings. Loved the tour of the Heatonist place, i'd go broke in there

I bought $75 worth of hot sauce from Heatonist about a week and a half ago. Stocked up on 4 different kinds of wings, strips and nuggets awaiting the day they arrive. I literally am so excited lol. I have always loved hot sauces, but I have always been limited t a very select few sauces, and lacked diversity. Franks, a few Blairs options etc, but i cannot wait for my crazy mix, from Jerk, to Ghost Pepper & Blueberry Hot Sauce to Secret Aardvaark habenero. AND of COURSE the reason I went there, The Hot Ones sauce, which UGHHHH I just creamed my pants in anticipation. Fucking Hot SAUUCEE!

Noah is the best, and a fantastic communicator. Ordered some sauces from him and will now always order my sauces from him!
After watching this, I ordered 2 of these from Heatonist. I got the Queen Majesty Red Habenero Black Coffee and the Pablo's bullfighter. Nick, from Heatonist, wrote me a very nice handwritten note, included a bottle of the Pirate's Lantern for free, and gave pairing recommendations for it. The sauces are AMAZING - the Pablo's is FIERY hot, but with amazing depth of flavor; the Queen Majesty is way less scalding, but with all kinds of richness, and the Pirate's Lantern is something I'll be drowning my brisket in. Great, great company to order from.

I used to hate that Da Bomb was in the lineup, but I think I get it now. Da Bomb is sort of the key to the whole show. It's a kick in the mouth in a way that the other sauces aren't. It's not the hottest sauce, but it's the most unpleasent, and that makes it the low point in the journey. That helps the last two wings to feel like a triumph instead of an even more difficult challenge, and that sense of personal victory helps the victims to finally drop their guard and be totally open. Sorry, I meant guests.
I'm a huge fan of Original Juan and all their labels, hot sauces, ghost pepper peanuts, etc. I haven't had Da Bomb Beyond Insanity sauce on the show, but I have created a wonderful sauce out of two of their other salsas. I use one jar of Da Bomb ghost pepper salsa (too hot for me by itself) and blend in two jars of their Pain Is Good Jamaican pineapple salsa (smokey and sweet, just not nearly enough heat), adding some serious crushed garlic, and then I have 3 wonderful jars of salsa, as hot as I can stand it, sweet and flavorful. Try it, you'll like it, and please report your findings back here?

Sean is an actual don! Don't get me wrong the concept of Hot Ones is genius, but without Sean's interviewing style, both his temperament and execution, the show would not be half as good.

Love this channel and everything hot sauce related. I definitely agree that tolerance to hot food (and hot sauce) is like a muscle that gets stronger the more you use it.
Thank you so much for doing this! I've searched several stores around me and no one has anything hotter than the El Yucateca Caribbean Habanero in your current season's showcase. If I'm going to order something online, it might as well be something special like one of these. Going to watch this a few times until one of the flavor descriptions jumps out as one I would really like. Also, something with a name or label that won't be a bad influence on my nephews when they come over and I make them try it. Ha!

Sean should have different hot sauce packages for the guests to choose from. Like a Beginner, Intermediate, Expert level so guests can come back and get a different experience if they choose. After watching YG breeze through it I felt that he could've gone to another level. It'll also give the audience a different experience watching Sean go through different sauces. As the season progresses we all know how Sean reacts to each wing since we've seen it a dozen times.
