From what i can figure out -- Capo on 2nd Verse: Cmaj7 (x32000) Am (x02210) Em (022000) For the "melody" notes, use your pinky and ring finger to hold down the appropriate frets on the 4, 5, 6th strings. Search around until you find them, they're not too tricky. Just single notes at a time. Chorus: G (320033) Asus 7 (530055) Cadd2 (10 9 0 0 10 10)
this is SO incredible!!!! i watched it with my jaw on the floor the whole time! i completely didnt expect him to play it like that!!! its just boosted him up my Music genius list!
Its CMaj7 (3-3-2-0-0-0) Then C6Maj7(3-0-3-0-0-0) into Em and he does the riff on the Em that's 0 on the D, 2-3-2-0 on the A, then 3 on the E. The and Chorus is a G with an added D on the Bstring(3rd fret) then move that whole thing up two frets for an A, then three frets for a C.
it's actually pretty easy to find out. he's playing C, Am, and Em. He uses percusive finger picking like he uses in most of his acoutic tunes. some of the other little riffs are easy to figure out in like 15 minutes if you really spend time.
The chords for this are just C without the top note on the 1st fret of the B string (with capo it'd be the 3rd fret, but you know). Then A minor without that top note on the 1st fret of the B string, then E minor. For the "and all I find" part, play G, but up on the 8th fret, then slide back down to a regular G, then play it at the 5th fret, and finally back to the 8th.
ill start of by giving some words to the youtube community, to keep by there side... "if you dont have anything nice to say, dont say it at all." and if you dont understand why bens music genius, then youre missing out on what music actually is and should be.
He's a great and very poetic song writer. His musical capabilities are not THAT impressive though. They are very good, but not even close to the best of all time like many of you are claiming.
strumming chords and singing is easier than playing the main riffs and singing.... less chance of messing up. He is just playing the chords that the riff is based off of
Yep It would be great if you send it to me. Because this version is awesome, I pretty much know how to play the verse, but not the chorus and the bridge part.
Check out the cover by ScottCovers (it's a video response), send him a private message and he'll send you the tabs. It's quite accurate. Hope that helps.
This was a show that was very intimate. There was only 40 to 50 people there. It was mostly an interview with some songs along the way. It wasn't a typical show that you bought tickets to. So the mood was very different.
actually, he's playing the chords from the original version of "title and registration". look it up. its a b-side from the title and registration CD single.
