wow !!! man! you are the first one who solve caustics problem at EEVEE. This shader method should be add in Blender officially! Thank you !
Blender should see this vid.
So happy RUclips recommended me this. Someone should make this an addon
Thanks CG Vertex, I was searching for this several months and tired for searching, I basically abandoned it , but you just post it yesterday, I love the results excellent work!
This needs to be an addon ASAP. Crazy good!!
I agree ... so it can be easily be applied
hey, this is amazing work, i love this channel and i've never seen this level of quality for such content, thank you for teaching us all of this
I am blown away by the fact so little i know about blender. You are the blender yoda!
Mind blowing. THANK YOU!
Amazing work! This is great!
I can only say that this is fantastic!!
Love it.
Thank you very much. 😊
What devilry is this!! Awesome job! Fantastic method, will definitely be using this in some projects.
how awesome is that! wow, thank you for sharing
Okay, I subscribed. Expecting more awesome videos man!
Simply amazing
i had already try, amazing
You saved my ass! Epic work. Both the technique and a tutorial!
wow!!love it!
unbelievable... thanks man. really
You deserve much more, but hey! This is me thank you 💓
You are a lifesaver!!!
Love it!
The linking of the lights would be more accurate using the inverse squared law. It is extremely easy to implement here. It is states that the amount of light is inversely proportional to the squared distance or 1/d^2. Implemented here, it would be power/distance^2.
Yes. This comment should be pinned.
Ok I didn't see this coming..... M subscribing right now!
Very good job, thanks a lot for sharing.
This is magic to meee!!
Awesomeness
Great idea!
Super cool !!!
2:52 phoooooone :3
But seriously, this trick is amazing, and your tutorial is really enjoyable to watch. Thanks for making & sharing it!
Good day, CG Vertex. it's beautifully right video. thank. :)
What a legend
Thank you so much!!! 🙏🙏🙏 😍😍😍🤩🤩🤩

You are a master of shading, I hope to be as good as you one day
First of all, this is very nice to read. Thanks a lot.😁 I personally don't think that I'm a master of shading, but more something like an advanced user. Just play around with all nodes and one day you will be able to create amazing shaders!
Awesome
You are a genius
YOU ROCK.
F****** amazing !
wow, great video and fabulous job. I never thought that this would be possible with eevee. BTW mám pravdu, že jsi čech :D
Přesně tak 😀 Díky, jsem moc rád že se video líbilo! 😁
Thanks 👍
wows
You are a wizard
I was about to complain that the background music is too loud and I could barely hear you... then I noticed for some reason my spotify started playing the moment this video started.
This video should get more recognition... AFAIK, nobody has done this...
not sure about this caustic but the glass on eevee has been done before his version came out.
so it maybe possible this has been done before as well.
@@invalidacess I was talking about the caustic
T_T I now want caustics on every architectural scene but I'll use that for close ups, OMG on a pool that would look amazing! :O
thanks
Really nice job. What if I want to add an image to the glass?
Thanks for the shader and video! I have a question though. When I added the glass shader to a UV sphere the reflections became jagged and pixelated but only on the uv sphere. But the reflections on your glass objects looks fine. Is there a way to fix this? Blender 2.93.
Hi, I just tried to add a UV sphere in the scene and if you enable smooth shading on the sphere everything works fine.
@@cgvertex oh ok thanks!
And, can you make another tutorial from this video about " how to make glass shader node from scratch in blender ". :) I'm curious... Even if it seems difficult. But yeah that's okay.
The node is genius! I just don't understand how to use the "Caustics" parameter on the Glass 2.3 node, I added a point light under my glass, but nothing happens no matter its value
It is basically a shadow transparency value. If you want caustics you have to set it to 1. Also this part is important 0:54
I haven't been able to get Blender to pass my flashlight reflector test. MentalRay in Maya 2015 was the only renderer that could cast a beam from a point light in front of a parabolic object shaded as a mirror.
try luxrender :p
Dude. People keep bugging me on Caustics for an eevee ocean shader. Do that next!
I watched your videos about caustics some time ago. It was impressive! 😁It is actually a great idea to try that in eevee. I give it a try.
Soon you will be popular dude, you are doing gold content...
4 real :D
Would you consider making a tutorial / shader for volumetric clouds in eevee? There aren't any good ones that I know of.
Ok, it sounds interesting. Maybe I'll try. 😁
@@cgvertex If you keep making content like this I suspect you will become one of the most popular Blender youtubers, this is honestly some of the best stuff I've seen.
Thank you! 😁
THIS is #EPIC and also #thiCC 😍😍😍
hello everyone, I'm CG Vertex, I have literally 6 videos and DAAAAAMN I'm breaking the rules of Eevee so hard that everyone now thinks I'm a god (which, in fact, is true.)
I'm not sure how to react to that. 😂 So here you have Love from a god.
Ahh man amazing!!! but too hard for me :X
Thank you. 😁 Well, you can try it and if you get stuck, let me know and I will try to help you. You wrote that excellent comment under my glass shader video, didn't you? I have some questions about it. Can you send me some message on facebook and I will explain to you what I would like to know? Maybe you know the answer.

@@cgvertex hi. Sorry I don't have Facebook account. I can chat with you in Instagram or telegram. If you don't have an account in non of them, I'll make a facebook account to chat.
So which's more accurate ? EVEE caustic or Appleseed's ?
Apleseed is more accurate. My eevee caustics are more just a proof of concept.
Also Ian Hubert can have caustics :) lol
After watching the first 16 seconds I thought this was rap tutorial
I don't know if this is a good thing or a bad thing. I just hope that you are not disappointed that it is not a rap tutorial. 😂
@@cgvertex Either way your tutorial is awesome :) Keep up the good work !
What is this sorcery !!!
why is cycles not like luxcore
This is a rather difficult question. It is a limitation of the classic path tracing algorithm. But there is a good chance that after they complete the Cycles X project, something like this will be possible.
Gleb Alexandrov has a brief overview of the differences at the beginning of this video: ruclips.net/video/1p7l9MNpLdo/видео.html
After using luxcore....yeah i cant use this..yeah it looks decent at a glance, but it just...feels off.
This is not intended as a replacement for SPPM rendering engines, it is just a trick that I used to show that something similar is possible in a real-time renderer. It is absolutely reasonable that you will not use it instead of luxcore. It's real time, so for someone it can be useful.
CG Vertex well of course. A hack for someone is a dream come true while its useless for someone else
2:39, yes... You have to give a warning, that it uses math. Because only some people don't like math. Who likes math, he's a genius... ( For me. ) 🤣🤣🤣
Yes indeed fake, but who cares? It's dope.
hashed isnt the most accurate, alpha blend is
Not at all, check the blender documentation
@@AbcdEfgh-dw2bk I did, says nothing about it
Crutches, crutches ... It's too cumbersome and complicated.
I agree. But it's the easiest and most effective way I've found so far. You better tell me why does a goat need a button accordion. Because I have no idea. 😂
@@cgvertex "But it's the easiest and most effective way I've found so far." Seek and ye shall find 😉. Good luck and thank you very much for your efforts.
Ask Gleb Alexandrov: "why does a goat need a button accordion". He will explain better than me. 😳
@@cgvertex I remembered my comment on your donut 😳. This is a Russian proverb. So they say when someone does a simple thing in a very complicated way. Sorry.
That is Ok. But I was very confused by that. 😂
