You are not replacing paying an artist, you are adding something that would otherwise be missing.

For the most part we love u for your story telling or at least I do. I get lore in a fun way and often times can fall asleep listening and still be entertained. Plus I can't do anything u do so kudos. Love it or leave it keep it up.
Honestly, your honesty about using AI art is very commendable. I think you don't have to worry, people underestimate how much time goes into releasing a video every week. It would be nice if you'd have a constant artist on payroll, but given your small channel size people should not expect that. Keep doing your good work, I love your narration and design, and if someone wants to help your withdrawing from AI art they will surely reach out.

As much as I'd love to say yes - I don't have that sort of pitch in me anymore. lol. Vocal chords get very wobbly several octaves below that
I share your sentiment regarding AI. I've written quite a few stories and have used AI to create visuals of the characters etc. I have artists, friends, but none were receptive when I told them about my story ideas and others never responded. Fortunately, when I posted the AI, I wrote a disclaimer as well, and some of my artists' friends were cool with it and "liked" it. Ultimately, I'm a "nobody " so what does it matter if I use it. Plus, all creations are prompts from my own original ideas and thoughts. Therefore, doesn't that qualify as my own idea / creations?...that's what I tell myself.

As a graphic designer myself, many amateur artists are super obnoxious and pretentious. I understand why someone would turn to AI, so do i sometimes for inspo or just personal stuff.
To a certain extent, I understand that established artists can afford to pick n' choose their clients. That's fine. It's when they're a d*ck about it lol. I remember Matt Mercer saying in an interview about voice acting once; 'Don't be a d*ck. Be a person that others want to work with again. Otherwise you aren't going to get very far'

I don't mind if you use AI art if it helps, i know its a slippery slope blah blah but everyone is gonna be hiring tom- who can't draw to say he drew X/Y/Z for projects and he's gonna make a buck 50 for answering "yes i drew that" on twitter and covering companies asses.
I really don't think a youtube channel using AI art every so often is a problem, that said i wouldn't mind wow in the backgrounds just locations inside the game but i don't know how blizzard would feel.
Thinking on it, they've always been pretty good- and lately they've wanted to win people back (its too late for me!!!) but you could also ask some peeps to get you a bunch of background screenshots and character model/armor screenshots, i imagine people in your community would be keen, i would if i still played be more than happy to take some screenie's and do some transmog lol
Id actually feel dirtier doing that in a way lol. In an ideal world; i would either hire an artist to create backgrounds on the regular. Or I'd commission as an when needed. But since I'm basically 'South Park-ing' my way through these vids; there's just not enough time. But i dont feel right about asking people to do stuff for free
Time is of essence, so I guess who is or will be judging will do it out of pure ignorance and lack of knowledge in regards to the effort needed to create such videos. 🎉
