    Dulens are great lenses. I would love to see you do a review on them for sure! A blackmagic FF paired with some Dulens apo's is a great combination. 👍

    I bought a Lightbridge CLRS Go kit on sale at the Matthews sidewalk sale a couple years back. I absolutely love working with them and use them all the time. My big complaint was the price and the size. The Lightbridge C-100 kit is $6499 without a case and the full set of the smaller panels is $5000!!! Adorama and B&H have the Godox sets at 50% off! I bought the K1 set that you are using as well as the full size 40"x"40 set for $3700 with tax! I'm now selling my CLRS GO kit. If you get your hands on the 40"x40" set maybe using the sun would be more practical?

    I watched the official Godox LiteFlow reflectors video, and it seems like it's just a mirror with a diffused/frosted piece of plastic film on it. I have no issues with Godox, but this is way overpriced even with the mount & case. Then again, this is a market where "cine" products have 70% margins.

      It's actually quite cheap if you compare it to the Dedo Mirror System or Lightbridge. While I agree, that it's still pricey, they really do come in handy. I have used them a bunch of times as an electrician and it changes the way of lighting a scene and often makes it easier if you make good use out of them.

    definitely interested in the old RED review -- if you do it, would like to see it if could be rigged run n gun with a smallrig/mini v mount battery

    The Godox panels are definitely cheaper than the OG panels but still very expensive. I think buying a cheap IKEA mirror with frost spray would be a great low budget option with 85% of the same results.

    2300 for what is essentially a board? That's wild.

    I wonder if you have noticed that product videos aren't doing as well these days. I see a lot of youTube people quiting and complaining about the numbers dropping. I think it has to do with the pandemic and after the initial drop from people that were staying at home and are now busy. The remaining people like myself, with the long dry spell of income, not that interested in more gear that I can't afford now. No matter how cool some of the products are as we become accustomed to the pricing, we have lost the people at home and what they can afford. I think for me, I love your creativity and techniques and new products are on the backburner. As soon as you said the reflector was that price, I stopped the video and left this comment - only because I have seen some great interesting videos from you in the past. But if I hadn't I would have been out a couple of minutes into this.

      I made a video a few weeks ago saying “gear is dead” for this very reason. It’s a weird dynamic right now.

    Hey Spencer, recently bought a Red Raven for like 3k whole kit (smaller cut of dragon sensor). Been really enjoying it so far! Saving to make the jump to Monstro, hoping those prices come down after VraptorX...

      @spensersakurai  8 месяцев назад

      so rad! dsmc2 is a cool system as well because you can just swap out that Raven body down the road for another one and keep all the accessories.

      @@spensersakurai Planning on doing just that with a Monstro, Gemini or Helium brain! Theres also a lut floating around online that I have that applies the Panavision DXL2 color matching adjustments which makes red footage look sooooo good.

    Cost wayyy too much money for what it gives you IMO. For that money I would just invest into better lights.

      @@Trevellian Agreed. I rather buy a spotlight and bounce it even off some foam core boards. Way cheaper too.

    I like those lenses. Nice. I'm gonna grab one from Amazon but I can't see where I ask for EF mount? Or does it come with PL/EF? The Canon R7 gives a very nice image. Good work.

    Very weird the h265 thing … I can run ARRI Raw full gate, no compression running flawless on a i9 MacBook 2019 !

    • @spensersakurai
      @spensersakurai  8 месяцев назад +1

      raw isn't compressed, so it actually makes it much easier for a program to handle it. Red Raw runs on my computer all day. the h265 compression is the problem. Wish companies could just use prores.

      h.265 4:2:2 can be difficult to edit on many systems. Try h.264, or h.265 4:2:0. @@spensersakurai

    Definitely would love to hear your thoughts on an older RED camera! Maybe even compared to the new full frame blackmagic 6k or the 6k pro
