      But funny enough, nobody ever body shames women for being big, they are supported and called beautiful by both men and women. But big guys are being body shamed by both men and women.

    This has been the basis of my Sunday Gravy for a couple of years, since I started canning farmer’s market tomatoes to get us through the winter. I never liked American style tomato sauce with ground beef and spaghetti. I won’t eat it when my girlfriend makes it. She knows this. Keep in mind, I am the WASPiest motherfucker you ever met. The first time I made this slow cooked delight with my own canned sauce, when she tasted it she said “oh, I get it now.” This was one of the proudest moments of my amateur cooking career. This is one of my favorite things, and it makes me so happy. I am canning 60 lbs of tomatoes today and I am making Sunday Gravy on Sunday, tomorrow. So, thank you very very much. You have brought us much joy.

      Thanks for sharing this! My neighbor was cooking what I could smell was an Italian sauce, and as the entire day went on, the incredible aroma coming from his house got better and better.
      I was ready to go over and ask what it was. The aroma was phenomenal, and like nothing I'd ever experienced.
      So I looked on yt for spaghetti sauce recipes and they were all terrible..NOTHING like the amazing aroma coming from my neighbors house.
      So this Sunday Sauce recipe just showed up as I was looking for Focaccia recipes.
      THIS is what my neighbor was making, for sure. So now I can't wait to try to make it. I hope I don't ruin it.

    Hey.. You talkin to me? LOL I love the video, it's the real Sunday Gravy.. God Bless my friend.. I grew up with a few Italian families in CT and I've gotta say, I've helped with 15 family members in the finished basements making the sausage, sopressatta, making the pepper sauces, harvesting the tomatoes, potatos, garlic, basil, oregano, you name it, I crushed the tomatoes by hand helped cook them down, etc., I drifted like the dog in Tom and Jerry to the smells lingering from the kitchen while helping out in the garden or whatever we were doing, making wine, processing venison, etc, or even making grappa, bleeding the eggplant.. I did it all. I could smell that Sunday gravy from here my friend.. I'm lovin it!

    It's one thing to have good cutting skills, but collecting that chopped onion like he did at 4:54 is a whole different level of mastery. Look how quick and neat that is, just one sweeping motion and he collects it perfectly. If i tried that, i would have pieces of onion all over me and my house, even my neighbor would receive some onion projectiles through the window.

      @@johnsully3209 What the fuck is this discussion? Just saw this randomly.. What meds are you talking about? My friend, i think you're the one taking meds.
      First of all i watched the video vaguely, i didn't even follow the recipe, it was just cool to me listening to this guy talk because of his accent and character.
      Second, i don't care if it's garlic or onion and it's really not important. In both cases he would do the same collecting movement with his hand.
      Third, English is my 3rd language and in my country's language people often say ''white onion'' for garlic, so it's really just a small mistake i made while typing my comment and translating my thoughts into English. I didn't even notice he says ''a little bit of garlic'' right after he collects it. So why are you making a big deal out of it? I'll leave at onions and i will not edit my comment in spite hahaa...
      And why does it bother if you i compliment his ''garlic juggling''? Are you jealous or something? Maybe you didn't receive enough compliments so i will give you some. You are better at ''garlic juggling'' than this guy, you are the master! And also your name is similar to the guy from Avatar, he is Jake Sully and you are John Sully, so you should feel proud of yourself! Have a nice day, Master ''Garlic Juggler'' John/Jake Sully!

    I grew up on Taylor Street in Chicago during the 60's & 70's and a block away from Ferrara Bakery. You my friend, are Italian!! Thanks for sharing your amazing recipe for Sunday gravy. Will be making this for my Italian in-laws tomorrow.

      I get that many americanized dishes are crap and or excessive. But you don't need to defend this guy. The dish is authentic. It's an italian regional ragu. And so no, he is not doing something "another way". His grandma's recipe is an authentic italian recipe.

    • @mattfield914
      @mattfield914 8 лет назад

      +LiamT sorry but that's no chef. Looks exactly like making a stew or casserole! Chuck it all in lol. Americans spent so long slating others cuisine but I've never seen a decent chef!

    • @mattfield914
      @mattfield914 8 лет назад

      Seriously?? What's the grade for an American chef? Because he looks nowhere near capable. This guy is no chef.

    • @mattfield914
      @mattfield914 8 лет назад

      Oh now I know you're full of it! You're seriously trying to make out I meant his appearance? Ok....he cooks like no chef I've ever seen. Just a typical stuck in the kitchen cooking for 30 years. And before you ask....no that does not make you a chef....the kind we're talking about, where you listed all the 'swanky' places he'd been. I meant Michelin starred. Obviously you just chuck the name chef around in America.....along with that crap you call food!

    • @mattfield914
      @mattfield914 8 лет назад +1

      Anti -Americanism? You have serious eye sight problem if you look at this guy cooking that dish and think 'world class chef right there'! That's your issue. That is cooking, right out a guys manual.....that is not a chef but a cook.
