13 cool details that are present in SimCity 2013 but not in other city simulators like Cities Skylines 1 & 2. The Art of SimCity: archive.org/details/the-art-o...
@@arindammishra2329yess i think the server is still running, you can even play multiplayer. Simcity player base is slowing dying due to its limitation however there’s a lot of people that still play the game.
An interesting detail that I recently noticed is that if sims have nowhere to gather to protest, they will protest in front of their house holding a sign. 😁
This game was great, only thing i really wanted this game to have was bigger building areas. Other than that, it had only minor imperfections. The cities you built had life and you was more like a mayor, unlike Cities:Skylines. The graphics were even good, cities skylines 1 has cheap graphics compared to its time.
*"This game was great, only thing i really wanted this game to have was bigger building areas"* This game had a terrible launch, internet connection was required. Yeah, I agree that SimCity 2013 only had small-ass maps. *"cities skylines 1 has cheap graphics compared to its time"* How does expensive graphics look like? I mean I agree as both Cities: Skylines 1 and Cities: Skylines 2 uses Unity Engine. But in terms of graphics, Cities: Skylines 2 somehow look bit better than the first game, Cities: Skylines 1 was over-saturated and very cartoonish feel. SimCity 2013 could been better if it never required internet connection and had bigger maps
3:40 Now that I think about it, the Arsonist's van looks almost exactly like the Inferno Van from Burnout Paradise. Roof lights working just like the same van in Paradise too.
I'm replaying this with no mods (albeit it's pirated.. thx razor 😉) I'm playing it pretending the whole region including great work is a big city, and the one square tile city is just a small town or a county.. this makes me has to think and build the whole region at once instead of building city one by one per region..
Ok, but Simcity4 was more about statistics and and animation based on values. Otherwise, Simcity 2013 the citizens are agents in the simulation, so they go to the park from its home influencing the numbers of simulation.
This game had so much potential
Is game server still going
How many people playing this

Cities Skylines 2 while being ten years newer, still doesnt have some of the details like people actually using the parks
I miss having this much life in a city builder sometimes.
Played this before Skylines, I do miss a lot of these unique features.

These are the kind of details I miss in Cities Skylines, even if the maps are smaller, the cities felt so more alive in SimCity.

Despite the cons it has i still love this game
the multiplayer is now fun btw although it might be a bit buggy at times
I actually love this game. If they re released it with a map twice as big I think a lot of the haters would see it was a great game.
Man. The zombie invasions. Remember the zombie invasions?
It's sad that all these awesome details got lost in a bad game. Loved zooming into my city like that seeing all that life
I want a other sim city game but this time with more detail and more love
The games feels more alive than cities skylines.
This game has some great features but city size is way to small.
This was/is a great game, too bad its potential hasn't been fully used.
cool
If y'all wanna hear the high-wealth hotel music from the game:

what version/kind of simcity is this, j want to install it?😅
simcity 2013
Cities skylines is much better
no offense but the "sims use basketball courts and skate parks" thing isn't really impressive
it was in simcity 4 and societies
Nobody said it was "impressive", it's just a nice detail, which is absent from Cities Skylines 1&2 (direct competitors to SimCity 2013)
@@YellowBriefs i see people using basketball courts in cs1
@@gabrielescobar263 it's a shame they removed it from Cities Skylines 2 then

Funny how people now make amends to that terrible game... now that they realize CS2 is awful (and that CS1 is not that great either).
