I saw the Allman brothers a little while ago at the Beacon Theatre with Derek Trucks. It was an absolutely incredible concert, but when me and my dad are walking back to the car, with both our minds blown we're talking about the concert. We turn around and Derek Trucks was right behide us. It was incredible. We were the only ones on the street. Me, my dad and Derek Truck. I felt blessed after that day it was truly incredible. I just have to say that Derek Trucks is one of the best musicians.
This song has been playing so loud today..... A friend of mine chose euthenasia a couple of days ago after battling severe depressions for years. This one's for you buddy, this lifted your spirit a bit when you heared this song for the first time, hope you're okay up there... :'(
Hearing this makes me smile! Being on the backside of alot of significant life problems, down don't bother me no more! At least not like it used to. Medicine for the soul!
the mood of their music is so uplifting. plus his playing is so tasteful. he doesnt try to cram a bunch of notes and play super fast scale runs. sound like he thinks more like a horn player.
He thinks like a someone who plays the blues. I dont know one blues guitarist who plays fast for the sake of playing fast. But yea Trucks and the allman crew are gods with their instruments and soul
I will always come back to this one. Kofi makes everything swag. The verse is just so cool. He is indistinguishable in the range; because Kofi WAS the tune, they were just playing in it lol
Watching Derek Trucks manhandle that guitar like an Allman Brother made me delirious, nostalgic, and proud. Damn, he is awesome. Good singer, good song! And I love when he performs with his woman, Susan Tedeschi. They make magic happen!
This was a beautiful time in history. I miss DTB ) I saw Susan rock LOCKN.. Great job!! Same setlists but worth seeing, in her prime Smokin..MAJOR HUGS!! I still miss this sweetness and DTB originals. MUCH LOVE ~
@theatlantisrise I keep listening to it, and it keeps getting better. There are no weaknesses. Writing, arrangement, production, mixing, and of course, all the performances. Song of the decade? I'll see that and raise you. I now believe this is one of the best songs I've ever heard.

The main thing I immediately noticed about this band besides the slide guitar obviously is the singer. Its so wrong that he isnt the lead now. I am late to the party
@TheRealPenster apparently not at any allman bros shows in the past 12 years. he works a lot (or at least has historically)... i know spam sucks but some things (like your favorite musicians' tour announcement or the local venue's show announcements) are actually worth making the space in the inbox for. i'm not as big of a fan of tedeschi trucks band as i was of DTB without susan (nothing against her, she's a great musician, just dig DTB more) but they're still good

Michael Milsom I respectfully disagree. Susan is an amazing singer and performer.
Susan is good but is flat at times. Mike is a much better vocalist in many styles and ranges.
I prefer this guy on the vocals by far. Hate seeing him in the back now. It's just wrong. I mean no disrespect to Susan.

These guys were just amazing, as are Tedeschi Trucks, love Susans vocal, but Mike Mattison damn and Derek's guitar talent is more than amazing!
