you make calculus very simple
trying my best!
thank you so much we appreciate that.
Jay Partedy this ain’t calculus that’s special functions lesson 2.6
I've been watching you my four years of high school you've helped me understand the material better 😬
This helps a lot! I was very stressful because my math teacher talks very fast and it's very difficult for me to keep up with her speed since English is my 2nd. So I'm always busy on taking the notes instead of listening to what she was saying. Again, I appreciate your lesson! :)
thank you very much for the kind comment. i appreciate it : ) it is nice to know that my many, many hours of making these videos is helping someone out : )
Dude you save my life every time your teaching is so easy to understand thanks!
OMG!!!!!!!!!!! My professor already explained this a million times using the slope-intercept form and I don't understand anything! This substitution method is much easier- THANKS!!!! My final exam is tomorrow; this is a lot of help!
oh my gosh!
YOU ARE A LIFE SAVER.
thank you SO MUCH.
i have a test tomorrow & i'm cramming and stressing
right now because my teacher NEVER explains these
stuff. THANK YOUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU! :DDD
You are AMAZING! I had to complete an online calc course on ALEKS to graduate and you're the reason I have my bachelor's degree! Thank you!
I switched into a pre-calc class, so im a month late in everything they have been speaking about, and this has helped me sooooo much, thank you.
Thank you so much. I finally understand this, I tried khan academy, face to face tutoring, my professor, and now you. You finally taught me this, and thank you for that.
meanwhile KA is taking over the world... c'est la vie!
Patrick you have helped me all the way from Calc 1 to Calc 5 (or advanced applied engineering Math) You are the man and I am thankful for your RUclips channel!
happy i could help for such a long time
ive been struggling with this concept for over a month and you resolved my issue in 8 minutes. THANK UUUU
Thanks so much for uploading these videos. They are extremely helpful. I have a hard time just focusing in class but these videos are brilliant!!!!
i was sick for 3 days and got this for homework...
test tomorrow too.
in conclusion, i love you
Oh goodness. Thank you! I almost cried because after hours of trying to figure it out I couldn't. My friend helped explain it to me then linked me these vids. Thank you soooo much! You have no idea how much this has helped! I have a quiz tomorrow that I'm hoping on acing.
i have a pre cal test today and these have been giving me tremendous problems, yet now when you explain it, it seems too easy, thx a ton
Thank you! Saved my life! So easy now! These classroom teachers can't even teach! Smh!
i cant believe this video released when im 8 yrs old . now i am a stpm candidates .. this is seriously helpfull . thnkyouu so muchh ! :D
of all the math tutors on youtube, i think patrickjmt is one of the best, along with lutemann, math1105... and interalgebra... thank you so much for your excellent examples and explanations.
looking back on this. This guy got me through AP calc 5 years ago. Thanks. It paid off at university.
The world needs more people like you, making extremely helpful videos purely out of philanthropic reasons.
You probably get this all the time anyway, so I'm going to go ahead and say you're the reason I have an A in my algebra 2 honors class. Your videos are very helpful, and the way you teach is straightforward and easy to understand. It helps a lot. :) Thank ya.
your videos have saved me from failing my math 101 class thanx a lot sir! we do appreciate your work !
@AhhMostter my pleasure! lots of other stuff here, so come back any time!
Thanks bro your a life saver
Wow. You are a miracle worker. I'm taking an online algebra class, and the notes are so vague! After watching your videos, I looked back over them, and it all makes sense. Thank you so so so much :)
Thanks a mil Patrick! I've used your videos for 2 years now and they've been invaluable. You need a donation page!
sweet! glad that this helps! i know that graphing these piecewise functions has given my students BIG problems in the past, so you are in good company! : ) with math, never give up! it is frustrating for everyone!!
Wow! I cried...when my teacher explained it in class I was...I didnt get it at all.But you are awesome!!!You show this in a very easy way.I think if you were my teacher I could become a math professor ;). Thanks a lot.
Patrick, you are a godsend, you have saved me in my advanced functions class countless times!
@starbyheart you are very welcome : )
this guy has been with me since algebra 1. im in precalc. GOD BLESS
just thank you for existing Patrick. thank youu
Thank you for proving my point about the teachers, even though basic grammar was taught to me in middle school and elementary, which are no where near #1...
Patrick.
I'm doing A Level Maths and A Level Further Maths. Thanks very much for making, graphing Piecewise Functions, look easier than they are.
Thank you very much, again! You are a lifesaver. If you ever have a day when you feel like you're not good enough for whatever reason, believe me, we all think you are awesome and smart as can be! Thanks!!
You teach more in 8 minutes than my Algebra 2 teacher in 2 hours! Thanks!
I have a calc quiz today and wow just wow I understand this more than how my teacher "explains " it THNK YOU OMG !!
Thank you! A missed one day of school and then i come bak and we have a test over this tomorrow! My book didnt even explain it! Ur vid is so informative and makes sense! Keep up the good work!!!
Seriously, You can't even imagine how much you're helping me! Thanks a lot!!!!
Oh man, this makes so much more sense than how my instructor is showing me. Thank you!!
Thanks for your time explaining. Ur awesome. How come teachers with PD's suck at explaining?
whoever u are, you are a lifesaver......thanks man .........now i understand the starting point of calaulus.
I learned more from this video in 8 minutes rather than my 100 minute class! Thank you tons!
Thanks so much for teaching me this stuff. My math teacher didn't teach me anything on this stuff. You actually EXPLAIN what you're DOING. I subscribed lol.
I have the algebra Regents tomorrow and this just helped me A LOT! Thank you so much!!
my pleasure!
@Chelswidjaja glad to help!
@gymsoccerkids good luck on the exam. studying early (like you are!) goes a long ways towards doing well.
i was learning change of order of integration from ur vids and was puzzled how to map the graph to start of with it(im so poor in math coz i din get a teacher lik u) i searched the entire google and youtube couldnt understand a line wat they were saying.finally saw tht u hav that too and understod it in few min ans saved me again. YOU ARE A LEGEND
I usually wouldn't call someone teaching me math a badass...but DAMN! You are the definition of THE SHIT! Thanks so much man, finally makes sense to me.
Way beyond helpful ! Thanks !
Happy that it helped!
patrickJMT Wow. Still replying to comments on a 7 year old video. One of the best how-to RUclipsrs.
missed math today because of drumline stuff and this is very very helpful! thank you! kudos from Kat!
You're like the Bob Ross of math.
acescouter1992 omg totally!!
Thank you sooo much 😭I will never forget you ❤️because of you I understand it 😭💕 for the first time I scored the highest score in class in MATH 💃🏻🎊🎉🎊🎎
thank you so much!!!!!!! i am taking a summer course and they teach us like 5 lessons a day, and i come home and watch your videos and teach myself haha :)
Thank you so much! I have an exam on Monday and I fully understand now because of this video. :)
Thank you! this is why I love youtube.
+Adrian Schmidt and Rayne Cloudsen, me too! RUclips is one of the greatest things to happen to education.
omg this is sooo helpful! I'm taking pre-cal and i was so lost today . Thanks !!
Extremely helpful videos man. You've saved my calculus grade.
after 8 years your video is still helping people. thank you :)
+Hannah S. Ramlal yep, math don't change! :)
like me
This bodied me when I tried them at school but you came in clutch and made this so simple
THANNNNKKKK YOUUU SOOOO MUUUUCHHHH!!!!! WAS DOING HOMEWORK FOR MATH ANALYSIS/TRIG AND WAS LIKE MY TEACHER SUCKED AT TEACHING ME THIS, SO I GOOGLED IT AND COULDNT FIND ANYTHING THEN I SAW A RUclips LINK IN THE GOOGLE SEARCH AND WATCHED IT AND HERE I AM!!!!!!
no problem!
Ahhh, my algebra II teacher shows your videos in class, good call XD. Thank you for making these, I'm doing an assignment for this right now and I got stuck. Not stuck anymore! :]
Freshman here, trying to study for my final, and helped out a bunch!
I seriously learn more from you than my own precal professor. Thank you so soooo much! :D
this is great,,,, an hour of discussion even it is so elaborated already is nothing compared for some simple little tricks you taught us...^___^
glad it helps!
no worries : ) happy to help.
thanks joe!
You taught me what my college professor couldn't teach me in a 50 minute lesson in 8 minutes
THANK YOU! I was struggling with piecewise functions but now I finally understand them thanks to your video.
@desireepayne That is how the standard graphs look like. Example: The standard shape for f(x) = x^2 is a U-shape, and the standard for square root of x is a curved line going right. There are standard shapes for every function and you just have to memorize it. Google it! Hope I helped :)
His apology for not graphing in red did not sound sincere. However, these videos save my life so it's ok
Awesome! thank you.
I was hoping that you had the domain and range of these functions here as well.
@zeldaLvr yep, that is the range.
YOU ARE SUCH A LIFESAVER THANK YOU SO MUCH
i tink ur artistry in drawing ur graphs is actually really good..:)...great video as well
this video was so much help . (: thank you for taking your time to explain.
i feel dumb when I'm in class, my instructor never teaches he only writes and writes and expect us to learn. :(
u are waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay better Dan my calculus prof!!
ur teaching methoD is superb!!!!!!
@LongboardATL He meant -3, he just forgot to put the dash
Notice the point is plotted in the correct place, and that's what matters.
He explains everything so much better than my calculus teacher
You sir are an amazing teacher =D. You saved my butt on this test tommarrow.
Wow so much easier than how my teacher taught it. Thank you so much. I feel super ready for my test tomorrow! :)
Thank you soo much this helped alot cause the teacher taught me a HARD way you did it the easy way thank you
your videos are helping me pass college pre-cal. Thanks :)
piecewise functions seem to drive a lot of people crazy at first! glad it makes sense now
Thank you , Patrick! I majored in English, not math, so I've been struggling with this concept. Your help is much appreciated.
i just made a video response that addresses this question. it is processing at the time of me writing this, but it should be available shortly!
feel free to look at my video about 'reading the domain and range from a graph' video too!
I am in pre-calc and this will help me. Thanks!
@patrickJMT isn't -3 to 4 the domain, because it's the x values? the range would be -3 to 2? (i think you forgot the negative sign on the -3,-3 point).
great!!
Oh my goodness, i finally understand. For the whole of my first semester i did not get it till now. Thank you much :)
You make life so much easier. I thank you so very much.
Keep doing what you're doing!! You're saving lives left and right! Seriously your vids help me so much
Thanks, it helped a lot, but may I suggest having more colors?
i will do an example or two in a day or two!!!
Such a simple concept when taught properly.. thanks man.
ha! i am teaching a college algebra class, and i bet a bunch of them wish your teacher would replace me!!!!! : )
@BlondeBallerina108 well, in that case: are you making number lines? or graphing systems of linear inequalities?
