The cool thing about the part 6 and part 8 hockey masks from them is that they have a lineage to the film worm/used masks. I think theyre 2nd gen molds so theyre super accurate as far as the shapes and details of the mask themselves.
I like the part 6 mask I love the movie but I just still have some issues with this mask as far as continuity from the previous films, specifically parts 3 and 4 when Jason had his original hockey mask. Now this mask looks similar to the masks in 3 and 4, but it's a totally different sculpt and although they brought back the OG red Chevron in part 6 it is different than the Chevron on the part 3 and 4 mask. The original Chevron sort of had an arrow point to it like one side goes down and the other goes up at the top where as this mask the Chevron is straight at the top. Also I always kind of wondered where this mask actually came from when watching the beginning of part 6. So we know at the end of part 4 Trish Jarvis cuts the hockey mask off of Jason and the mask lands on the floor. I mean I don't think that 12 year old Tommy Jarvis kept Jason's mask all those years. We know Tommy was into masks and making them but I doubt he would've added the mask of the killer that attacked him and his family to his collection. However at the end of Part 5 we do see that somehow Tommy was able to steal the Roy Burns mask for himself for whatever reason. I guess at the time before part 6 was written they set it up that way to let the audience know that Tommy Jarvis was the next Jason. Stupid ending now because they did bring the real Jason back. My theory is that since we know Tommy had that hockey mask at the end of part 5 and he was obviously still mentally unstable at the end of the movie maybe in his down time he made the Roy Burns mask to look like the real Jason's mask. That's my take on it, but it still doesn't make any sense why would Tommy have done that I mean to even add the axe cut in the mask maybe, I mean he was a detailed mask maker. It still seems like they were trying to convince the audience that the mask we see at the beginning of part 6 is the same mask from parts 3 and 4 but obviously it's not and how would Tommy have that mask I mean it would've made more sense if they showed Tommy with the original Jason mask at the end of part 5 then the Roy Burns mask.

I don't think that's such a weak point he was haunted by Jason wanted to destroy the corpse so he can have peace of mind and can you so closely associated the mask with Jason destroying the math core sum approximation Taxi would help him move on because I don't believe that was the mask I think he found one of the customized it the mask from part for was probably in an Evidence Locker
And see I like the wider looking mask compared to the more bent style from part IV (even tho i love Part IV the movie and Jason because of how hulking he looked
Same thing goes for the Michael Myers mask....I actually prefer how his mask looks in Part II on Dick Warlock also the same mask from the original Halloween which both are my favorites out of any of the other masks...and with Freddy Krueger (my all time fav horror villain) my fav make-up of him is from A Nightmare On Elm Street Part 2: Freddy's Revenge even tho that particular film gets all the hate for being coined "the gay Nightmare On Elm Street" I grew to appreciate the film for what it was and I liked that Freddy was portrayed as evil and much more serious and the Special FX in this was awesome aswell
As much as I love the Jason Lives mask, I do feel compelled to point out that, like many of the F13 hockey masks and other design elements, and even story elements, it doesn't make any sense. There isn't really any reason within the storyline as to why the yellowish mask with a woven elastic strap attached by snap fasteners should have transformed into one that is dingier and dirtier with brown coloration, without any trace of the spots that are worn totally white in The Final Chapter, and a leather strap attached by way of pop rivets with a single triangular chevron as opposed to half of an arrowhead-shaped one on the forehead. The reason that it turned out that way is at least twofold. For one thing, whoever designed the mask based it on the mask which is unique to A New Beginning and only appears in the opening dream sequence and when Tommy sees an hallucination of Jason from his second floor window. That mask is brownish in color, which isn't totally straightforward as I will explain, is rounder than the original mask from 3 and 4 like the one from Part 5 but even rounder, has a single chevron, which is on the forehead, and that chevron has barely if any angle in its top line, does not have the white wear marks from the previous appearances of the mask, and has a strap attached (and attached to the back of the mask, which has only ever been repeated in Jason X) by pop rivets. (They even copied the damned rainstorm!!) This would lead to the mask sticking out farther, and not wrapping around the face as much.

Its defiantly one of the worst jason designs, but the film was great. Everything about jason's design was just off, the utility belt was not needed at all, the yellow gloves, why? if he is dead why in the hell would he put on some gloves? maybe they wanted to spruce up his look to make it different to part 3 and 4 the hockey mask horrible pizza shape design. Its actually one of the fans fave looks, but the design of jason is defiantly below the bottom, but the film is one of the best in the entry's, despite its weak plot

Second if you didn't know Jason is very insecure about he's looks especially his face so he covers up there is many clothes and work gear in Camp Crystal Lake duh Jason picks up clothes and gear just like the first time he picked up he's mask was in a basement ... the belt was needed for his pocket knives duhhh-.-
Friday 6 is by far the best and most well directed film in the entire series.
