Love this! Super insightful!
Congrats on the new job, and informative video as usual 🙏🏿
Thanks for the tips. I will update my résumé to look more basic.
Happy for you! Keep growing and stay happy 💝
Factually, I did that bolding key phrases on my resume, leading the readers eyes to what “I” want them to see. A couple hiring managers at an engineering/tech career fairs told me that was a big deal for them, because they can stay on point and grasp the person from the paper. It works
That’s great to hear! Wasn’t 100% sure if it helped or not.
What do you typically bold? Key phrases with action verbs or metrics?
Thank you for the tips shared
Thankyou for sharing this. Helped me alot. :) you rock. Keep up the good work. Bless you
Yay!! So proud of you and congratulations!! Long time fan!

Thanks Alisa!!
First of all, congrats Harshi!! You did it! The resume template and explanation is super helpful, thank you so much.
Thank you! And glad it was helpful :)
Wow! Congrats and thank you for sharing. I'm actually re-writing my resume now from the usual designs (2 columns) I see online to just 1 column. Yeah! You're right. Resumes should be content over aesthetics. I hope to get back here soon when I'm already hired :)
Thanks for making the video I finally can make a resume for product management.
One minute silence for all those who doesn't have anything in particular to fill in this resume template.
This is great Harshibar! Thanks for sharing :)
Outstanding video! A lot of value to be had in this one! Well done ma'am!

Wow, congrats Harshi!! That’s definitely not an easy feat.
Would love a follow up video on resources that got you started using Latex and an example of resume template in Latex!!
Thank you! Here is my resume template: github.com/harshibar/resume
I used Overleaf to edit my resume (www.overleaf.com/latex/templates/harshibars-resume/sbcyynmtpnyd). I'm not a LaTeX expert myself, but just did a lot of Googling and trial and error.
Congratulations!!! 💕💕
Congratulations harshibar

Thank you, Mrinalini!! 😊

Overleaf resume templates are awesome... Customizable too!!
Thank you @harshibar for your tips! And congratulations on the new job! I am in my 1st year of College and trying to acquire the skills needed for the tech world. And on the other hand, I am applying for internships and jobs. Do you think it is a good idea to start applying at this stage and keep learning or rather focus on just learning?
Hope I get to hear from you soon!
You are really amazing!!! I am just an undergrad btw, but you are inspiring me a lot to focus on my career
by spreading positive vibes... and hearty congrats for your acheivement...you really deserve it... I am feeling really happy for you SISTA...

Putting some numbers really makes a big difference.
Congrats on the new job, Harshi!! 🎉
Thank you!! 🙌🏽
Hey congrats 🥳🥳😁
Congratulations 👏
Awesome!
Amazing tips
As someone who just went through the PO interview process several panic attacks later I have job offers. So never give up folks! You'll get there.
🙌🏽 Congrats on the offers! And yes -- never give up!
Latex is definitely the way to go. I've used it a lot on grad school and all my resumes were made on it since.
Totally different from this video's context.. but I just want to say that I really love the vibe of your videos.. you are so down to earth, sweet and relatable. I get a soothing warm heartfelt feeling in a positive way. Also, I'm also an Indian. I really love your personality and content. (Scared to say I love u.. 🙈)
It would be really helpful if you could share a video on how freshers should prepare their resumes to get placed in a good company
Congratulations
lets goooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Very helpful video! Curious if you could make a follow-up or add a comment on how you also made the resume ATS friendly? Sometimes making resumes feels like an exercise in keyword stuffing and the good meaty content gets lost in an attempt to keyword stuff and make it past the bots. Thanks again for this video!!!
Congratulations 🎉
Thank you!
Hey Harshibar. Great work here. Liked the celebratory walk. Congratulations!
A quick question: did any of the recruiters ask you to corroborate the numbers and percentages you used to portray the impact you created in specific roles or projects? RUclips, I understand. It has a dashboard for visualisation and analysis plus the shareable and publicly viewable videos themselves are proof of concept but, what about other roles or projects. I'm a fresher looking for Product roles hence, I am trying to craft the best resume I can and since I have a lot of numbers that convey a tangible impact, I am on the fence about including them
Congrats on the Job. I don't usually comment but the video was very insightful, helped me realize the wrongs in my resume and how can i make them right. Thank you so much!! Loved the positive attitude❤
thank you!! and best of luck on your job search 😊
Congratulations Harshibar !!!!!🚀
Thank you, Meghana!
Well done
Congratulations on getting a new PM job. I can understand how difficult it is to get the Product Manager job
Congrats
So that's was the ultimate goal for this YT Channel all along XD
your voice is so calming, seems like you are a very sorted person. Wanna be like you
This was super helpful!
Also, your hair are just amazing! Is it the regular Indian oiling routine, genetics, or something special??
Inspiring akka
congratulations Harshi, great video, thanks for sharing these insights. I totally feel highlighting using bold is really useful. I am a big fan of using bold as it helps the reader to skim through and get the key points.
Glad you liked the video! And happy to hear that you are also a fan of the bold :)
Congratulations harshibar! Your videos are really great. I am also planning to switch from swe(2yr exp) to pm role but I have a few doubts. While preparing, have you ever felt fomo for leaving the tech role and thought what if you get into pm just to realize it wasnt for you? I am also concerned of the salary cut that I might have to go through while switching. Was that any concern for you as well?
Congrats.
These resume tips are gonna be HECKING helpful later on ✨ The "show don't tell" part is deffo what I need to improve. I wanna ask, what would you say is the best way to say you have "some experience before, but not in an actual workspace"?
I would show that through the types of experiences you list in your bullets. For example, when discussing my Software Engineering job, the bullets I wrote mostly described the PM-type work I did (gathering requirements, user shadowing, etc). This way, they will see you have that experience, even if you didn't have the formal title.
@@harshibar ahhh! That's gonna be real useful. Thanks!
Hey,
I was exploring youtube regarding project management and came across your channel. First of all amazing work.
I do have some questions, you've spent 6 month skimming through those books and Internet search. Which of those material are actually worth it and helpful?
Can you cherry pick the most essential one's and share any content source that could be a time saver and save all thay hassle?
Congrats on the J.O.B!!!
thanks! 🎊
Can yiou share tips/ portfolio review of product manager by picking up actual project - to help with the observation
Cool 😎
Congrats , Please tell us how to explain a career gap. I am planning to switch to Dev role after a year of career gap.
Thank you so much for the help and inspiration! I am also getting back into the industry after 2 years, and finding it hard to land a job. Did you do anything different for each job listing? Like changing it to fit the description to get through ATS?
Hey! I usually didn't update my resume for each job description, but I did make a few versions of my resume that were tailored to different sectors (startup, FAANG, banks, etc) with content/formatting that suited each. For companies I was excited about, I also used a somewhat boilerplate cover letter and personalized one paragraph to describe my interest in the role.
Hope that helps! I know the job market is tough, I wish you the best!
@@harshibar thanks so much for the insight! Definitely sounds like what I will be doing. Going for quality over quantity in this market.
So..
You are back... ☺😊
👋🏽
Congratulations Harshibar for landing into a tech company🎉🍾. Thank you v.much for sharing your experiences and tips with us🤝. Those tips were really helping us a lot. 👉
Love from India 🇮🇳♥❤
🤗
The dots seems to connect now.
Nice 🌈💙
I have a question - I have a BA in Tourism Management, but I left that career 4 years ago. Since then, I have been involved in various digital business growth strategies and I discovered that I am good at being PM. Now I made a Google PM Certificate, and I am looking for a PM job. In Education field in resume, would you place BA in Tourism or PM Google Certificate? It is good to have a BA, but in that case it is irrelevant...Thank you for your help!
10:44 hell yeah
Harshibar Akka, congratulations 🎉🎊
Aaradhya
Thanks!!

High 'Quality unavailable' wth? 🤦
It's only 240p I can watch this video at!
Looks like it’s taking a long time to process the high res version 🙁 should improve in quality in a few minutes!
Getting a job become easy when you have a degree in computer science and can code easily. Good luck 😊
My desire is to get job in faang and thanku so much for making this valuable video
This might be a little late, but what metrics did you track and how did you calculate the overall boosted productivity?
I used ‘hours spent’ to measure productivity. So for example, if a workflow went from taking 10 hours to 4 hours, that’s a 60% increase in productivity (if I’m doing my math right). Maybe not the cleanest metric though 🤷🏽♀️
hey what font did you use?? it's beautiful
I think it was a riff of Helvetica!
Also what’s the benefit of specifically putting Postgres/MySQL on there vs just having SQL? Since you can write base SQL queries through Postbird and other clients
That’s a good point! I think the companies I was applying to listed Postgres on their tech stack, so I thought it wouldn’t hurt. But I agree, SQL alone should be fine
Beauty and the Beast ❤️😘
