Happy Mother's Day Toni, and everyone ❣️ I love that recipe. I add 1 tsp vanilla to the batter, and a sprinkle of cinnamon over the peaches before baking. Definitely good stuff❤️

Granny taught me this recipe when I first got married, back in 1972! Its still, after all these years, my husbands favorite dessert. I also use this recipe to make a version of pineapple upside cake. I don't flip the cake out but I do sprinkle brown sugar over the melted butter and use a can of crushed pineapple as the fruit. Its one of the best recipes ever! Its quick, its easy and it is versatile. You can make a multiple of different changes according to what you have on hand.

Hello my cast-iron friend. I use the same recipe but I use brown sugar . I also sprinkled the top with cinnamon and brown sugar. I have been known to substitute Splenda for sugar. Hope you had a good Mothers day

Happy Mothers Day!! The peach cobbler looks great. We invited the family over for dinner tonight and tried to order take out BBQ this morning but unfortunately they were already sold out. So we switched to plan B and got some rotisserie chicken from Costco and I made home made baked beans with pork, corn bread and banana bread. Last get together before my procedure on Tuesday.

Hubby and I started the keto diet a few weeks ago, but I can still appreciate the cobbler recipe. I think a bit of cinnamon and vanilla would both be welcome in this recipe, as they enhance most desserts. 😁

I have peaches but I also bought a can of cherry pie filling from the dollar tree that I wanted to try out, so looks like I'm making cherry cobbler for Mother's Day dinner dessert. Thanks for the idea! We always used a whole stick of butter but I will try it this way because butter is expensive.

    I watch Kristen's friends
And she makes one pan cake.
I can't explain how she does it but you should check her out.
She also makes one pan dinners.
I'm really into the one pan cooking. I always have six or more people to feed every day.
So less of a mess and just as good of food as ever...
    Best wishes to all.😊

    • @HerHomesteadSkills
      @HerHomesteadSkills  Год назад

I used a pint! I think the quart would be too much unless you were to double the recipe.

@@HerHomesteadSkills Okay, that's good to know. I will be feeding 6 to 8 people. So I will double it. Have a beautiful sleep this night. I was outside, planting etc. all day. Likely sunburned a bit.. Tired for sure. No matter...we do the things that need to be done. love you.

First time I ever heard of Cupa Cupa Cupa Cobber was a scene from the movie "Steel Magnolias" in Dolly Parton's beauty shop scene; one of the ladies asked Truvy (Dolly) about her cobbler and she gave the directions. Yankee Gal/ Illinois 💖

    The original recipe is
    1 cup flour
    1 cup sugar
    1 stick melted butter
1 can of peaches with juice
    Add salt to taste
    (No baking powder)
But I use your recipe and always have.
