Happy Mother's Day Toni, and everyone ❣️ I love that recipe. I add 1 tsp vanilla to the batter, and a sprinkle of cinnamon over the peaches before baking. Definitely good stuff❤️
Granny taught me this recipe when I first got married, back in 1972! Its still, after all these years, my husbands favorite dessert. I also use this recipe to make a version of pineapple upside cake. I don't flip the cake out but I do sprinkle brown sugar over the melted butter and use a can of crushed pineapple as the fruit. Its one of the best recipes ever! Its quick, its easy and it is versatile. You can make a multiple of different changes according to what you have on hand.
Hello my cast-iron friend. I use the same recipe but I use brown sugar . I also sprinkled the top with cinnamon and brown sugar. I have been known to substitute Splenda for sugar. Hope you had a good Mothers day
Happy Mothers Day!! The peach cobbler looks great. We invited the family over for dinner tonight and tried to order take out BBQ this morning but unfortunately they were already sold out. So we switched to plan B and got some rotisserie chicken from Costco and I made home made baked beans with pork, corn bread and banana bread. Last get together before my procedure on Tuesday.
OMG TONI! That LOOKS amazing I can smell the deliciousness here in SOUTH WEST GA. I might have to break out some of my canned peaches for this tonight. Thanks for sharing and for everything you do!
Hubby and I started the keto diet a few weeks ago, but I can still appreciate the cobbler recipe. I think a bit of cinnamon and vanilla would both be welcome in this recipe, as they enhance most desserts. 😁
Oh yeah!! Easiest & tastiest cobbler ever! And ya can use so many different fruits too! I make it often when I want a dessert but am too lazy to do much else! :) Happy Mother`s Day!
I have peaches but I also bought a can of cherry pie filling from the dollar tree that I wanted to try out, so looks like I'm making cherry cobbler for Mother's Day dinner dessert. Thanks for the idea! We always used a whole stick of butter but I will try it this way because butter is expensive.
Hi Toni - that cobbler looks scrumptious and is so easy to make. Happy Mothers Day - hope you are having a wonderful day. I have been spreading top soil and compost for the last 2 days - have 2 half piles left to go - should get finished today.
Love it... That cooked up really nicely. Sounds a little crunchy just the way I like it. Thank you for sharing. I watch Kristen's friends And she makes one pan cake. I can't explain how she does it but you should check her out. She also makes one pan dinners. I'm really into the one pan cooking. I always have six or more people to feed every day. So less of a mess and just as good of food as ever... Best wishes to all.😊
I just tried making this and did not see how much baking powder to put in so I put a little bit but it came out flat if you have the measurement for the baking powder I'll try it again tomorrow
@@HerHomesteadSkills Okay, that's good to know. I will be feeding 6 to 8 people. So I will double it. Have a beautiful sleep this night. I was outside, planting etc. all day. Likely sunburned a bit.. Tired for sure. No matter...we do the things that need to be done. love you.
First time I ever heard of Cupa Cupa Cupa Cobber was a scene from the movie "Steel Magnolias" in Dolly Parton's beauty shop scene; one of the ladies asked Truvy (Dolly) about her cobbler and she gave the directions. Yankee Gal/ Illinois 💖
The original recipe is 1 cup flour 1 cup sugar 1 stick melted butter 1 can of peaches with juice Add salt to taste (No baking powder) But I use your recipe and always have.
I leave the juice in mine.. I love the gooey!!!!!

Mrs. Tony, i also pour around 3/4 cup of the peach juice over the top, and it gives it a not so dry cobbler
Beautiful! Looks yummy! ❤️

I just tried making this and did not see how much baking powder to put in so I put a little bit but it came out flat if you have the measurement for the baking powder I'll try it again tomorrow
The general rule seems to be two teaspoons baking powder for one cup of all purpose flour.
Yummmm
How much baking powder would you put in the all purpose flour?
I put a teaspoon and it came out all right
@@gingerenie Thank You

Question? I have many jars of peaches and would like to try this next weekend. What is the peach measurement? One pint or one quart? Thx.
I used a pint! I think the quart would be too much unless you were to double the recipe.

HELLO GTSY
Looks all dried up; juice needs to be left in; its cobbler not cake. Can 28 oz fruit in syrup or juice undrained.
The original recipe is
1 cup flour
1 cup sugar
1 stick melted butter
1 can of peaches with juice
Add salt to taste
(No baking powder)
But I use your recipe and always have.
Thanks for the tips!
I leave the juice in mine.. I love the gooey!!!!!
