I learned to make this cobbler from my grandma. She called It the One cobbler because it has one cup of flour, one cup of sugar, one cup of milk, one tsp baking powder, and one cube of butter. The peach filling was made with two cans of peaches in heavy syrup, corn starch, dash salt and cinnamon. She topped it with crystallized sugar and baked. Served warm with ice cream or room temperature with home made whipping cream. Those crispy edges are the best. I still make this often with peaches, cherries or blueberries filling. Its been a family favorite for over a hundred years.
Cindy I like yours. Can you tell me how much corn starch? Also is the butter 1full stick? You mention 1 cube. Thanks a million. I need to make this for a friend.
@@flipperc6042 I've made the batter recipe from this video a few times and can tell you it's so good, I was impressed! You can confidently try it ;). I've only made a blueberry cobbler version so far and always go ahead with pouring the fresh berries mixed with sugar and lemon juice in the pan and didn't use cinnamon but lemon zest for the batter with sugar sprinkled on top and it's divine every time! (also, I use less sugar but it's a matter of preference). The crispy edges are perfection!

Oh my goodness. For YEARS I’ve been searching for the perfect peach cobbler recipe. One that could approximate the peach cobbler I was privileged to enjoy in Georgia for 23 years. You know… that perfect balance of crisp edges and top, lightly sweet with that super soft, peachy middle. I think I just found it. So grateful! Thank you, Tobias! Your method of instruction was absolutely wonderful! ❤️
I made it last weekend. What I love about this recipe is how you simmer the peaches. I used fresh peaches that weren't fully ripe, almost but not there yet. This softened them up nicely. I substituted buttermilk instead of whole milk and it was outstanding. Will try whole milk next time. I also sprinkled a bit more sugar and kosher salt on it along with the cinnamon before putting it in the oven. I like that crystallized top it puts on the breading.

To: Tobias, Your recipe for the peach cobbler is my very first attempt. I followed each step but made a slight change. For the vanilla, I used the one with the bourbon; for the caramel essence, the store I always go to ran out of supply, so I used the butterscotch instead; and for the peaches, I used three cans and the remaining sauce from the peaches, I end up reducing it and use in top of the vanilla ice cream for the cobbler. The verdict, my family loves it. I am so grateful for your detailed instructions. I have no fear of baking anymore. Keep up the excellent job. Your talent helps people a lot. Thank you❤️❤️❤️🙏🙏🙏
I made this and it was FABULOUS. I used fresh peaches, but that was the one and only difference. The caramel extract is what makes it that little bit of extra special, so if you can find it, use it. The cobbler will still be good without it, but with the caramel extract it gets kicked into the everyone-begs-for-the-recipe stratosphere. I was able to find caramel extract in a Michael's craft store. Check in the cake decorating section. It was the LorAnn brand of bakery emulsions/ extracts. If using fresh peaches, you'll probably need about 2.5 to 3 lbs of peaches (I used 1/2 of one of those 1/2 peck bag, if that makes sense). Peel and chop. Add them straight into the pot as-is to simmer like he does in the video. No need to macerate or drain. The peaches will release a lot of liquid as they simmer, so by the end of simmering, they'll look like the ones in the video. It does seem to work a little better and get taller in smaller casserole dish, so if you have the 7x9" size you see in the video, use it over the big 9x13" size.
I made this as a Vegan recipe this past weekend by using Oat milk instead of whole milk and vegan butter instead of regular butter and everyone LOVED IT!!! I will say I also did not add the caramel flavoring because I could not find it in any of the grocery stores I went to. So I am looking forward to making it with the caramel flavoring.

I stumbled across this recipe about a week ago, and I must say this cobbler is so delicious I am headed to the kitchen to make it again. It was so simple and delicious.
Made this just now for Christmas and BAYBAY! Its delicious 😋 the only deviation was that I added bourbon instead of the caramel flavoring!! It was beyond good! Smooth, buttery with caramel notes and warm spices! All I need is a good book and a snowy evening in, and Im set!! Thanks for such a superb recipe.
I can already tell I'd be adding more spices but this is the most accurate cobbler recipe I've seen! I personally love cinimon and nutmeg, I like it looking more brown in the pan I don't really measure honestly.

I make a similar peach cobbler, but as you noted - this one is next level. Great tips and techniques with chopping some of the peaches and not pouring all the juice in (I have done that, and it gets too mushy). Also, saving up some of that juice for after. This is the best!!

Gotta tell you , I substituted apple pie filling for peaches cause nobody in my house will eat peaches. I followed your directions in every way except left the white sugar out of the pie filling only because it had sugar in the can already. Tried it with 3 cans of fruit cocktail because all them food pantry’s give you some every month and it was great. Had to fish out the cherries cause once again, my peoples don’t like them cherries, it was great also. Moral to this story is all fruit will work, just don’t call it peach cobbler. Thanks 😊

Just found your channel, copied a recipe from someones short and as I was doing it, I just knew it didn't feel right. But decided to try it anyway. It was terrible. Thats how I found you. Searched peach cobbler and you were at the top. Watched the whole video and fell in love with your teaching style. We are having our regular family dinner tomorrow, and I am now up at 11pm after throwing out the nasty cobbler, your recipe in the oven, half way there and I just peeked and told the hubby, now we are making peach cobbler. I can already tell its going to be great. Thank you! You saved family Sunday dinner. New subscriber!

I am going to make that peach cobbler next week for Christmas by the grace of God. ❤
BAAAYYYY-BEEEE!!!! Let me tell you!! Father Gawd, this is straight from heaven! Thank you TY!!❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I have mine in the oven right now! But I’m confused about what I do with the leftover peaches?
Unfortunately we don't have this dessert in Germany, but I grew up watching my wife and Kids and i saw Jay always made this cobbler❤️ I'll definitely try it! Thanks for Sharing🥰

I made it today and it was delicious and a big hit with our company. Thank you! ❤
This guy is a really good teacher.
Yeah, but he forgot to put in the extra set-aside peaches.
Well mmmmm and yum. Looks like sounds like an old recipe I lost years ago. Thank you. It’s the best ever!!!
❤❤❤❤❤❤
15oz x 4 Peaches
1 Stick of butter
1 cup flour
2 teaspoons backing powder
1/4 teaspoon of cosher salt
1 cup of sugar
1/2 sugar 1/2 brown sugar separately
Carmel flavor
Vanilla
Cinnamon
Nutmeg
I followed your instructions, the first one I ever made blew everyone's mind, I now make it regularly for family and friends, Thanks so much ❤
The peach to batter ratio is perfect not overly peachy or overly doughy
Hi I made this dish for the first time a few months ago, it was bomb! I’m making it again but I was hoping you put the size of the baking dish in the description. I think last time I had too much ingredients for the size pan I used. Wanted to make sure that I was right on this time. Thanks!
It’s the Fiona floral 3.3 quart rectangular ceramic dish by the pioneer woman at Walmart It comes in a set of two I have the blue set that’s how I know
I make a similar peach cobbler, but as you noted - this one is next level. Great tips and techniques with chopping some of the peaches and not pouring all the juice in (I have done that, and it gets too mushy). Also, saving up some of that juice for after. This is the best!!
But what do you do with the leftover juice and peaches?
@@veranewsome7728well I just put mine in the oven and I need to know the same thing but I see you asked this question about 3 months ago...oh well I guess I'll figure it out
He said tge leftover peaches you can add as toppings later.
Omg!!!!! This is my first ever peach cobbler and it came out perfectly!!!!
Jesus saves, John 3:16 ❤️
I did one with blue berries and pineapple it was lovely.
This is the 1st video on Peach Cobbler I've watched and I'm going to make it tonight. Just subscribed because im laughing the whole time watching this. I love love the crispy crust
I just discovered this Chanel and absolutely love it!! From the beginning song to the ingenious delivery! And of course this looks delicious and cannot wait to try! My mom used to make us peach cobbler and ice never been able to replicate! As they said, this is that and extra!! Thank you for this!! I’m subscribing! :-)

This is exactly what i was looking, well balanced w the sugar, and the peaches must be the one on the video...w 100% juice not syrup
Thanks 😊
Patty LaBelle has a recipe for a peach apple cobbler with a top, middle and bottom crust, all can peaches and can apple pie filling, delicious.
I made it and omg! It was delicious and my whole family loved it! I can’t wait to learn a new recipe. Thank you
I absolutely love your energy and the overall vibe of your video💕🥰Thank you for this because I needed another peach cobbler recipe. I know my wife gone love it!
Jesus saves, John 3:16 ❤
I made this cobbler twice already for a family of four and it was delicious and commented that it was the best peach cobbler that they ever had and also gave my neighbor and his wife some, the very best they told me, I will keep your recipe forever, thank you
Just by watching this video, I can tell this is one of the best peach cobbler recipes I've seen!!!! I can't wait to try!!!! Looks so delicious!!! Thank you for sharing!!!!🥰🙌🙏

Its in the oven now. I usually make peach cobbler multiple times in the summer and haven't at all this year. I've been craving it for weeks now.
That looks bomb!🔥 I’m making this for thanksgiving! Thank you 🙏🏼❤️❤️❤️
Just made it for the 2nd time and can't wait to eat it! Last time we ate it so fast I was unable to take a picture bit this time I did! Thank you, yummy!
I’m gonna make this plus your Mac n cheese! I can always count on your recipe’s to be the best! Plus you make the perfect amount for me to divide it in two and take one half for my family and one half to my boyfriend! Thank you !❤🎉
Love the singing...must be you. Love the energy. I did a smaller version; an apple one and a peach.
I know the people who are singing. It's not her I just can't think of their name. It's two ladies and a man who was on America's got talent
The group is called Resound
A friendly Hello from Cincinnati, Tobias...I genuinely LOVE your channel & all your delicious recipes, but what makes it even better is you always make me smile from ear-to-ear... 😊
Thank you! Simple and easy to follow. My husband requested peach cobbler and I had no idea where to start until I watched this video. It’s in the oven now. Thank you ❤
this looks so good!! i haven ever had it before and i usually am not fond of extremely sweet desserts especially if there is fruit involved. honestly can just take a small serving before i'm overwhelmed and i wish there was like a smaller serving recipe around cause that looks so damn delicious but i know my limits and how i will waste a huge portion if i make it like this much. this showed up on my recommended lol after i was interested in everyone's variation on this months ago...might be a sign to give this a try now 🤤
I've literally made this maybe 6 times already. I tried with apple for the first time and it was just as amazing. To top it off, It was all gluten and dairy- free. I literally make it every Friday now for my husband and me 😊.
YESSSSSS. THAT LOOKS ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS 😋😋😋. GOOD SOUTHERN EATING ❤️❤️❤️
Me out here with two extra peach cans in the cupboard looking for a recipe to use em for, definitely going to give this one a try, thank you TY!
it's so amazing that the crust comes up over the peaches look amazing
This is exactly how my grandmother used to make a peach cobbler❤
I have never tried peach cobbler before I made this and immediately fall in love with it after. Made it for the whole family today. Much love from Turkiye!!
Pan size?????
He didn’t give it and I wanted to see how he used the leftover peaches & juice as a topping. I will still try it today tho! His cobbler looks amazing!! 😋
13x9 looks like
I hosted thanksgiving this year, and I made this. Couldn’t not find the caramel flavoring however. But everyone loved it. I had some extra peach filling, and my cousins wife asked me to make her a separate one today.
@drwells 1990- I used 1 teaspoon of almond extract instead of the caramel flavoring. It was delicious.😋 🙏💘
O.M.G 🎉 I just tried your recipe for the first time and my God today it touched the spirit in my family. So I’m making it for Sunday dinner and for the church members after church today. Thank you so much for your video mines turned out just like yours. It took me four stores to find the caramel extract, but we got it.💃🏽💃🏽👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾thanks again.
Just made this, my wife and I ate 3/4 of the pan! Completely fantastic my friend! Thanks
I ❤ U and my family LOVED your peach cobbler...it was a first for me to see someone scrapping an empty pan as my family had devoured the entire cobbler! I salute you this was easy and I had every needed to make it in my pantry!!
Thank you for sharing your recipe! I've made it about 3-4 times in the last 2 months and it's delicious. I used fresh peaches, added a bit of lemon juice and nutmeg to mine as a preference.
my mother and I made this today a quick version with biscuit and oats and monk fruit sugar and topped it with some vegan vanilla almond custard . it was nice. I just sat around after washing, cutting and cooking the peaches . she did the rest.
Just made this with fresh peaches, didn’t have can. It came out perfect! My husband and girls are still in Awe!!! Thank you, can’t wait to try some other fruits❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Tried my first TY recipe. These was BOMB!!!!! My first time making cobble. Simply amazing
This will be my first time making peach cobbler and of all the recipes I looked at, yours makes my mouth water. I like that you gave all those important tips. I want this to be good. Thank you and God Bless you!
I tried this today, and it turned out super! Very easy recipe and tasty🥰!
Made this last night, came out great. I used 8 or 9 medium peaches instead of canned
Very nice!!!!!
Thank you!!!
I made two pans, and it didn't last overnight. I will be making this peach cobbler for now on
I tried this receipe twice. The first time I didn't have the caramel extract and it came out good, but I finally found the extract and made it again and it came out great!!! Thanks for the receipe and the great instructions!♥♥♥
I made your peach cobbler recipe last night and it was delish!!! I didn't have a ceramic baking dish and used a glass baking dish I had in my cabinet. I attempted to find the size of your ceramic dish and couldn't find it. Although my cobbler came out nice, the next bake I would like to use your recommended ceramic dish. Would you share the size please and thanks😊
This One Cup Cobbler Recipe is from the movie “Steel Magnolias.” Dolly shares it in the movie only she puts in Fruit Cocktail. 😊 I just made this. It’s in the air fryer. I can’t wait. I made Invisible Apple Cake in the air fryer and it was delicious.
Thank you for sharing a PHENOMENAL desert that all the masses can enjoy!! Peace and love to you and yours ✊🏾
