We picked up this scale model aircraft on an amazing christmas sale this month. The E-flite Piper Cherokee rc airplane features a 1.3m wingspan. It also has NAV lighting, flaps and a full-flying stab, plus 3-4S LiPo compatibility. This radio control plane sure surprised us!

I bought this plane last Summer and it is a great scale flyer that's what it's meant for not for us to go nuts loops and rolls. There's nothing more satisfying than bringing it in for a perfect scale landing.
You sir are an asset to the great RC hobby. I come from the old school, 1970's, when we spent weeks building balsa models and would go to the field on sunday to fly and enjoy the smell of Glo fuel with Castor oil burning and cleaning up the mess left behind and sometimes bringing our planes home in pieces. What a thrill it was to watch your creation fly. Things have sure changed. I still enjoy flying slower models now as my reflexes have slowed. You definitely take pride in helping others enjoy the hobby through your channel. Thanks.

That is my only complaint about the LiPo alarm. You have to remember to use it. LOL.

Hi Nate don't be a SAFE hater, I like SAFE for those times when you need a second to sneeze or look away to check runway and make sure it is clear (make sure the dog is out of the way). Just cause it is there doesn't mean you have to use it but if it isn't there and you need it well Love your channel.
Hey, we are in No Way a SAFE hater. We Love the technology and praise its usefulness all the time. I'm not sure what made you think we dont like it 🤔
That's the plane I learned how to fly for my private pilots license! Also the "elevator" is actually called a stabilator:) it's a combination of a stabilizer and an elevator.

I had the same issue with my Maule, I thought I had safe on but didnt. I never bothered even using safe after that. It's a beautiful plane that's for sure Nate. I have a dynam model that I have yet to fly it. I do like Horizon planes very much. Some people complain but not me. Thet are well designed and nice planes.
I'd love to hear a legitimate complaint about this plane. Truly a joy to look at and fly! It's nice knowing that SAFE is there if a person would want to take advantage of it. Thanks a lot for tuning in 👍⚓😎

I own a full scale 1961 Piper Cherokee 160, which is one of the first built. I love the way it flies and have enjoyed it for quite a while. This RC airplane is incredibly realistic! Looks like it flies super slow and would be a great trainer. Thanks for sharing! 👊🏼👍

@@Tommydoestuff - Mine is a four place, fully certified 1961 Piper Cherokee aircraft. (A real airplane).
Take those flaps off of the gear channel and create a flap setup. They look awesome moving slowly. It also buys you time if the plane balloons.

Wow what a great plane, Looks great and flys great. I was surprised at the price as I was expecting around $500 NZD but comes in at $370..which is great..Just added to my ever growing wish list..One day it might get in my hanger.

i live really close to WilliamT. Piper airport and factory where alot of piper planes where made namely the Piper cub i live in Lycoming county (Lycoming plane motors) less then a mile from the Clinton County line and roughly 7 miles from the airport i love the cubs my personal fav great looking plan Nate thanks for sharing
I really like this plane! Looks and flies very scale. It looks like it flies somewhat similar to the Cirrus, which I have and really enjoy flying. They both have a great set of lights that are very visible in the air. The plug-in wings are a very handy feature if transport space is an issue like it is for me.

Looks like a great plane, fantastic slow speed ability. On a side note, i found a couple of ground vehicles you all might want to look at on banggood, first is a XLF03A, nobody has anything on this, kinda like that speed tank when i mentioned it a few months ago, and 2nd is HBX 12891. on that first one at least, you guys would be one of the first if you happened to pick it up

I really enjoy watching a scale RC Airplane that flies scale. I'm anxious to see it flying on 4S but will predict it will lose its scale look while in the air with throttle forward. [Hope I'm wrong.]

Depending on your age, maybe you could ask neighbors to wash their cars under parental guidance. I'm sure that most would be quite happy to have you do that, and after a good days work or two you could buy almost any RC on the market 👍⚓😎 I did this and mowed grass while growing up so that I could buy the things I wanted.

I purchased a eflite cherokee and a nx8 transmitter. Having an issue binding with safe on, so the kiss can fly. Do you have a video binding with safe on. Any help would be great. Your videos are great and helped me choose the cherokee.

Hi I bought this plane but have a issue with hatch canopy - I cannot open the hatch - its stuck - looks like its glued to the body. What you suggest to do and not damage the hatch area? Thanks

@@TheRcSaylors Its a long story - I bought Arrows Big foot though your link - but due COVID its stuck on our US/Canada border( Sumas, WA) and stayed there almost a month - They cannot allow me to pick plane on US side. Then I have to return plane to Hobbyzone and buy this one at local Canadian hobby store. Im from Vancouver.
Would you guys recommend this Cherokee or the 1.1m Trojan as a second/third plane? I learnt on the Sport Cub S and then the older Delta Ray.

Hey Nate, great flight! You said you are afraid the lipo alarms may go off early. I have just recently experienced this with both alarms on different batts in different planes. Is this common? Never had it happen before, used them many times.
Hi and hope you have had a great crimbo holiday and you have a great new year to, I’ve started to watch your channel and love what you blog! My Question I have is... I have a Bebop 1 & 2 but I have 2 of my 14 batteries which are 11.1v, 3S, 20C and I have a BMax B6 balancing charger to. The One Battery says 2 cells are @0.00v and 1 cell at @3.24v, my second battery as One cell @0.00 and 2nd and 3rd cells are both above 3.5v. My question is, are these no good or can I revive them back to good use. I am fairly new to Lipo RC but now have the right equipment to balance them every time I use them... is this a good thing? Have a good day from across the pond in the UK 🇬🇧 👍Thumbs Up 👍

I would go 3200 or 2200 4S, or a 3200 3S
I fly mine with a 4s 2200 and get 8 minute flights. 4 S is really more power than it needs but I fly at about half throttle most of the time. great flying plane.

I did my best to fly scale for what I believe to be at least 95% of the flight. Would you agree? I do still like to show what the vehicle is capable of.
