Zieley: I don't want to make it too easy.
Also Zieley: starts as Haesteinn
One county and the warmonger tenet is stronger than 90 Catholic counties.
I think he was being sarcastic lol
@@mr.morningstar9906 Haesteinn is basically a full 100 character with those special soldiers. if it had 3k more troops i bet he could take the Byzantine empire down

There's something poetic about Crete being one of the last bastions of free, independent realms.
Koifish will be proud of you! 😂 His beloved Hastein.
Little correction, the unit that starts the game with the highest pursuit is the Konni 60, horse archers starts with 40.
Yes, Poland being OP as usual.
@@SFtheGreat pursuit is useless, even in early game. you only get warscore from winning battles and sieges. not from more kills. with the way the AI works its always best to just have tons of levies + knights and siege engines. the AI will go for sieging unless it can outright win a fight. having a bigger number is almost always enough to scare away any army. with more siege engines you can easily siege down for lvl 4's in 2-3 months. in which time the AI would still be running around or maybe it would try to siege something with like 1 siege engine army which would easily take up 9 months or more. siege MAA are cheaper means saving money means more money into buildings means more money left for mercs (thats the cheapest way to get MAA) also always try to create holy order for the free holy order MAA. if your income is high enough you can easily make back the money from a merc company within the war. meaning you can stack merc companies if you have enough CB's you have very cheap armies running around that siege super quick.
@@HansWurst1569 with his realm that big one merc probably costs 10k each. also, it really doesnt matter if he has strong maa or not since nothing can challenge his army anymore except probably all of his vassals rebelling.
you actually get warscore from winning battle although its lesser than sieges.
@@zjpdarkblaze Sorry I explained myself wrong, dmg over pursuit is what I’m trying to say. Because you always stackwipe if you do enough casualties to an army within the firsr phase. That is the reason he’s stackwiping, not pursuing. Also Im pretty sure your realmsize doesnt have anything to do with your merc cost and its always the size of the merc company that decides the cost, and that is associated with culture size afaik. In my world conquest i went for a supertall money above everything aproach and siege over MAA and i did it about 40 years before him. But ofcourse that might have been down to luck. I did most of his strategy except a different set of traditions favour more tall play and knighteffectiveness. Made a very agressive religion which helped my vassals actualy declaring more wars. Crownauthority is usefull to a certain extend but actually keeping it down can help with sorting out realms.
Edit: checked my save and it was 36 years and 2 months before him. Which at that late game tick speed is quite a bit.
@@HansWurst1569 i did a world conquest 75-ish years faster than him. from 867 to around 1250. Warmonger tenet is crucial but another things that make it easier is giving dukes and kings to dynasty members since you can stack more opinion with dynasty members and also always choosing diplomacy for your heirs. with that strat, every succession is so stable because you can just always gift gold with massive opinion from the "thoughtful" perk on top of the myriad of dynasty member opinions. i have never had one single vassal rebellion with that world conquest playthru. this is the reason why Ziely took to long to do it because of the so many rebellions. Add to that that he took to long to remove the pope with "dismantle pop" or "fix schism" decision and also left the mongol empire unchecked. i rushed removing the pope in my world conquest to remove the annoying crusade early on and snowballed to mongolia early too to position myself from gengis khans respawn point in the county of khenti and immediately removing him.
i never really thought of MaA's and holdings since like i said the only thing that threatens you is your vast vassals that might rebel.
The mass ransom, mass release and mass execute buttons will also respect any filters you set for the list of prisoners. You can easily filter out vassals when ransoming, or filter out family for executions so you don't accidentally become a kinslayer.
Wow this made committing wars crimes incredibly easier. Thanks man
Before i knew about the filter thing i constanly got kinslayer playing vikings

Doing the exact same thing right now and conquered like 75% of the world so far... Only thing I did differently in the beginning was taking Cagliari first and then Latium. Good stuff!
I took Brittany and went north swept the islands and then bum rushed Scandinavia and then ate the 3 karlings beside me.
I tried doing this but the king keeps declaring a holy war against me after taking the papacy and sometimes right after I take Cagliari. Is there a way to stop him from doing that?
I remember my first world conquest in CKII. It was before Tibet and parts of India were even in the game. I started as Basileos Makedon and learned the hard way that your best friend in one life is your worst enemy in the next.
I got this amazing general that became a friend of Basileos. I granted him my first ever kingdom, Anatolia, and he was amazing. Then succession happens and he hates my new character so from loyal servant his dynasty becomes a huge threat.
That moment onwards I started going heavily into eugenics and making sure kingdoms only went to people of my dynasty culture and religion. Those bonuses made such a huge difference.

Dude i tried this on console without royal courts or Northern Lords dlc because apparently it takes more than a year to deliver. Anyway i concurred almost the whole map. I was saving my war with the Mongols as an endgame. I started fighting them for the last part of the map. Freaking save file keeps on crashing. It really destroyed me. It was soul crushing. I hated ck3 for a while only now I'm just starting to play again. I want to try it out again but i don't trust paradox anymore. Also i think I'll wait for the royal courts dlc which will drop on May 17th.(yeah i did everything there is to do in this game stopped playing it for almost a year and only now they give us a dlc which i bought with the game more than a year ago) It looks way easier than the argues task i tried to mountain without any dlc.
Zieley I just want to thank you for making such great content, you deserve way more recognition.
I think the reason why the court grandeur drops may be that your new character actually had a court (or it was at least landed) before ascending to his father's throne, so that you inherit your new character's grandeur level instead of your old realm level. I think it also happens with crown authority. If someone could confirm or disprove me it would actually be great, as I am not 100% sure at all 😂
I'm pretty sure you're right
Had this happen to me in my recent Roman Empire ironman playthrough, can 100% confirm it's an issue with either their own court or lack thereof, as any of my sons that I granted Duchies or just single counties to who ended up inheriting the whole empire would end up lacking in court grandeur. The two ways to solve this are:
1. Making sure your direct heir is unlanded and just chilling at your court, or
2. If you have to deal with a ruler with low grandeur penalty, the classic solution of killing prisoners until you get max dread so that everyone who's pissed off at you is too scared to do anything works like a charm.
I think it is a bug connected to confederate partition. I had it several times in my run for mother of us all, it stopped when I switched to partition (even though I kept giving lands to my heirs).
So one strategy to avoid it could be to hybridize with the Catalans, get the Visigothic Codes tradition and switch to high partition. That should get rid of it.
It is this, but the confederate partition is creating a new empire title with low court grandeur before you inherit your new titles.
For me, on my last playtrough i conquered like 80% of the world in Ironman. There were ups and downs... kingdoms falling... murdering, befriending, factions rising with 10 more troops than yours ( like 30K fighting 150K), being invaded by neighbouring Empires such as Mongol, Arabian or the Magreb Empire.... But i standed i took control and emprisoned the rivals, destroyed the empires next to me and from the small and only dynasty member alive i created a legendary bloodline of more than 6 thousands dynasty members ⚔⚔⚔
How was the fps
The reason for grandeur drop seems to be due to the fact that your son was a ruler. Thus, he had a base grandeur that hasn't changed with the inheritance. It can be solved by keeping your heir landless.
Imagine taking Rome and then raising a runestone on the Vatican itself.
Chad.
I was not expecting this video at all. I really enjoyed it. The longer the better. Love from me and my friend splinter.
🙌🙌
Ninja turtle ass😂
I did my second world conquest recently. I had over 2000 living dynasty members by 1200, so most of my vassals were family and got opinion bonuses. Vassals can't join factions if you befriend them, then on succession you get a big opinion of predecessor bonus.
The Byzantine Empire collapsing at 18:48 was an amazing stroke of luck for this run. Love this content!
Incredible video, Zieley, truly an epic conquest to bear witness to.
Now switch characters and see how fast you can bring the realm to ruin like you did to the super Umayyad empire.
Thanks for always working so hard for us!! 👑
Honestly could be an insane idea
@@Zieley Create as many empire titles as you can, then go for it.
@@Zieley Maybe let a fan send in a wc of it's own and then reverse 'fix his savefile' like you do in other vids?
nvm literally the next vid I click I see you doing a similar thing lol
Super cool video - some comments / ideas
1. Court Grandeur dropping after succession is a bug that is caused by conf. partition iirc, as soon as you switch your succession laws your CG shouldn't change after succession
2. I prefer handing out newly conquered titles to members of my dynasty without claims (which can be hard early on), because all those trusting / content / humble vassals will inevitably die at some point, and while their wards / heirs are more likely to have similar traits it isn't guaranteed. Dynasty members that are of your religion don't tend to rebel against you anyway, so I often just give out entire kingdoms (+their respective subdivisions) to some distant cousin who will assign their own vassals.
3. By having access to a royal court they will even generate some renown for our dynasty, if their CG is higher than expected. That can of course be amplified by giving them artifacts that you have no use for, that increase CG
4. I am pretty sure you receive fame regardless of if you are actually leading the army in a battle or not
5. The only way to stay under the vassal limit (even if it is increased by traditions) in world conquest games is by handing out multiple kingdom titles to single rulers. as you mentioned
Oh lord, a 2 hours video! You outdid yourself bro. Also, the one thing that really makes me laugh about the mighty New Zielander Empire is that is so multicultural and chaotic, but that's exactly what I wanted in the first place. Props to you
I wonder how the tours and tournaments patch will affect playing tall like this in the future. Since stacking effects won't be the same, excited to see your take on it Zieley.
It will be slightly slower at first, but way dumber by the end.
@@admontblancyep you can put all the right buildings and boost the stats of your troops like crazy
Zieley chooses Jarl Hæstin.
Koifish:Hello there...
if don't find him commenting on this vid i'ma scream
Oh, Haestein. So many different world conquests with him, brings me good memories. I am a fan of the semi historical conquerors. They really fit my style of holy wars and siring 15 children per character, then giving the land to the kids and slowly building up my capital. By the end, my capital is always the most developed part of the world, my vassals pay me a lot more gold than levies, my dynasty rules pretty much every subrealm and plenty of duchies. It's all about creating a stable empire, that actually converts lands into my culture and religion, that doesn't break apart immediately and whose ruling dynasty is made up of eugenics bred charismatic geniuses.
This is better than watching Netflix.
You picked Hæsteinn and I immediately heard Koifish screaming in the back of my head.
Nearly two hours of Zieley, what a treat!
Zieley: I don’t want to make it too easy
Also Zieley: Picks Character with amazing skills and a bunch of special troops
I did Lingua Franca with Haestein; First Cagliari, then the Byzantines, then Rome, reviving the Roman Empire and Hellenism and reforming it towards a Norse-type religion. Picking up by the sword along the way. It was the longest game I ever played, but it was a lot of fun
I loved the editing in this video, I can tell this took alot of effort. Thanks for making this!
Just watched the whole vid, Epic! Also appreciate your style of edits - pacing, humor and explaining your choices in a bit more detail from time to time - just makes it great to watch.

Thank you Zieley for your content. I've been following your videos on and off for the last year or so. This video was perfect. It helped me broaden how I think about the empire to expand. Showing this much information in a 90 minute video is just brilliant.
Again, thank you for taking the time.

Your voice is so calming, falling asleep to this yesterday was one of the fastest times I've ever fallen asleep. Now I gotta rewatch most of it tho 'cause I sleept through it ):
This video is amazing. Since I started playing ck3 which is about 3-4 months ago, I always wanted to see a world conquest video but I didn't really find one that could keep me engaged like this one did. Some were too long, some had no commentary. This one is just perfect and damn amazing
I tried this a while ago and only got Europe before the end date. But despite being really lazy with my planning, I ended up with 500k troops and 800 gold income.
No idea what led it to being such a massive success, but I made an effort to convert as many places to my culture and religion as possible. I rarely had any factions at all and only had to deal with peasant revolts. I also had such an extreme amount of money that I was upgrading my vassals' land too.
I didn't even have the gold mines, it was all from buildings and tax, and my capital development was only 60-70.
So task failed successfully I guess. I had no idea what I was doing.
Literally same right now. I just brought back the HRE and control all of Italy (expect Rome), Bavaria and Saxony, and then coastline of North Africa, Jerusalem and then all islands within the Mediterranean. I am making some +300 golf a month and have about 110,000 troops. I control relatively much less than he is but you can still dominate the gold and levies
The time lapse of granting lands is so soothing.
i started playing literally a couple of days ago and i already love your channel. thanks for the "tutorial" of conquering irland. more of that would be much aprecciated
Ty so much. You suffered in pain to make a 2 hour video for us. A hero we didnt deserve
I'm honestly impressed on the editing through the whole video. Most people stop after the the 20 min mark. Your a chad.
At around 28 minutes, when you took the Kingdom of Bavaria, there's another silver mine in the county of Innsbruck. Should you ever wanna go for another insane world conquest 😂
Great video as always! Glad, it only almost killed you 😅
You can learn more languages than it is your limit, but then there is an event when you may give up some languages or be more stressed. You could do that pretty much infinitely.
This was so worth the wait. Almost 2 hours of Zieley CK3 content? Let him COOK
52:40 ... imagine being on either side of this, on his side are man who just went to stand next to some castle to retreat, disband and then regroup again to siege that castle.... and then imagine rando peasant goin outside to see neighbours 9k troops just stand there n shit to just go back and then come back to invade
The only thing better than watching a zieley video is to watch one one meth, but seeing him suffer is fine too
Love the memes and editing! Nice work - my overlord.
Hey Zieley, great vid as usual. FYI when dealing with inheritable traits, the different tiers of a trait do not reinforce each other. Meaning "Quick" and "Genius" do not work together to increase your odds of getting one. You have to get 2 of the exact same trait and tier to reinforce, and the reinforcement will be shown in in the marriage proposal screen. I think "Inbred" is the only exception to this rule.
It's kinda dumb but that's how it works.
Damn, an hour and 44 minutes? I'm gonna get comfy.
I've been waiting for this!
I managed a world conquest in my first time playing through to the end date just last month.
One trick I discovered for preventing civil wars during succession is to find a duchy title that you can make, whose land is completely controlled by a direct vassal that is already a duke or king. Create the title and grant it to another direct vassal that hates you, and preferably leads a faction. He will be grateful for being given the title.
However, because he does not control any of the de jure counties, directly or via his own vassals, he will destroy that title. You can then make it again and then grant him that same title again. The opinion bonus stacks rather than overwrites, so you can keep doing this until the vassal is maxed in Opinion.
The main flaw with this is the sink of money, so be sure to build yourself up to be making large bank by the time of late game. I suggest that you reform your faith and do the classic combo of establishing Communion and setting yourself as Head of Faith so that everyone else is constantly sending you indulgences.
A bonus to this overall process is that your Prestige will skyrocket as a result of constantly purchasing titles, so it is also a good way to get your new character straight to Living Legend within a couple of in-game months.
This is to sponsor the Roman video :)
Great video as always. The memes just bring me back to the good old days of Ifunny and vine
Love the videos man. That smooth sultry voice luls me into a trance and then WAM!!!! ADDS AT MAX VOLUME
This is absolutely beautiful! You did a great job Zieley! Thanks for all of the amazing content you creating about this game! I love it!
Amazing accomplishment! “Oops I died” was the motto for the first half. Props to never letting a setback stop you. My condolences on the repeated mongol invasions.
Man your editing is freaking hilarious. I can not remember the last time I have genuinely laughed out loud while watching any form of media.
Why did you choose Righteous over Fundamentalist? I find that my vassals who are Fundamentalist conquer large swathes of land by themselves very rapidly in comparison and it makes it much easier to strip lands from stubborn heathen vassals.⚔
I think the court grandeur issue is because your son had a different court type than your court because if you notice the court type switched to administrative when I think beforehand it was the learning one? So I think since you switched court type it reset down to the lowest, that or your son was already landed and so had a low court level and that was inherited instead of yours.
And Zieley wept, seeing as he had no more worlds to conquer.
if you have lvl4 crown authority you can designate heir
King vassals won't be happy tho lol Just start as Byzantines if u want to do world conquest they start with primogeniture
17:35 I think it was a missed opportunity not also getting communion here. I haven't finished watching yet but there would be a huge bonus. You can basically never fail a plot with a large religion and communion money.

honestly, not played 3 yet, but in 2, i always found that starting as an irish tribal 'baron' was a good place to start out for world domination runs, you can unify ireland, move on to scotland while england takes bites out of it, then, with a few choice allies, take the rest of britain to make an empire before moving off the isles.
The grandeur drop happened to me also when a very young ruler inherited the realm
Incredibly amazing. You are a Genius !
One needs to really appreciate the EDITOR for those. The thing about the editing is that it is very TASTEFUL. Not overmemed, never obstructing your original content, volumes extremely well balanced on each and every single overdub, and perfect comedic timing. Whoever did this - they need a raise and/or a lot more contracts from other content creators. My god, this is pure bliss in comparison anything I have seen so far from the gaming scene as a whole.
