I feel like if France held on like that the 20th of July plot would happen earlier, Operation Valkyrie would work out and we'd basically get the same result from WW1 lmao
What's the 20th of July Plot? I believe what you're actually talking about is the Öster Plot where Hans Öster had contact with the Allies during 1939-1940 for a planned Coup of the N*zis if the Frontline stalled in Belgium or France again.
@jaredjosephsongheng372 oh I didn't know about that one! I was talking about the plot that happened in 1944. It's also called Operation Valkyrie in some places.

Spawned-in units can be realistic but with limitations. Militia brigades might be created if the enemy come within a set distance of a city. These brigades should have very limited equipment and only have limited organization at creation (perhaps 20%). If they are hit quickly, they will fold. This would reflect city populations being quickly organized to offer resistance. Spawning-in of a main historical division should require a focus (some sort of commitment), it should test that the creation location is controlled and the unit's start organization should be limited at creation. Spawning of partisan brigades could be included but these should be weak, with little equipment, low organization and low (perhaps no) speed. Given the extreme attention to detail in Black Ice, the unit spawning is odd. There seems to be no effort to make it realistic and it seems to only be there to disrupt the player.
Sometimes the AI does things like abandons borders. It doesn't happen all that often but it does happen. I think it tends to happen more in larger wars rather then the smaller wars that most of the in game time is spent fighting.
@@TheOwneroftheIC if you play say Germany historically your first war is a small one against Czechoslovakia. The next is against Poland, with a small holding front against France and some port guards to stop Britain. The third is against Denmark and Norway. Only then would your fourth war or perhaps I should be saying campaign, be against a major power, namely France. After that it depends on how you deal with Britain which if you can make a landing is usually small because most of their army usually isn't home. But you would presumably have another major war against the USSR. After all that you might do world conquest or something but you're basically unstoppable at that point given the resources and industry you'd have. So that's 3 small wars, and 2 big wars and 1 more war that could be considered big or small. So mostly small wars. If you play a smaller nation like Hungary reforming the Austro-Hungarian empire you'd have a series of small wars against Austria, Yugoslavia, Czechoslovakia, and Romania which might escalate into a bigger war at any time depending on how well you navigate the guarantees by Britain and France. After which you might have a big war against the Allies or the USSR depending on what you want to do. But most of your game would be working on those small wars building up to the cool big war.
