@@ViedViper Side note, do you know if anyone has published a vid on high rage EWGF confirms? Was messing around yesterday and found that you can combo into grab and/or Gates of Hell BEFORE they pop up if you have rage. From my testing it looked like it starts when you are above 100% and they are above 50ish. Flash Punch combo is arguably a better followup, but I was able to get grounded EWGF -> D-Throw -> Roundhouse to Triple Spin Kicks/Flash Tornado off of it
@@MrWoodsman Ah not that I know of. Something I've been meaning to look into too. For fun I just double Electric before they pop up, but that's probably not optimal/practical given DI. This Twitter link kinda shows what I mean twitter.com/Sids69636025/status/1430647164577984522 but not still not great at higher percents especially if you get the ground bounce. yeah EWGF throw/gates before they pop up is great and I've been grinding that in training mode recently too. Jab 12 will work the most since Jab is 6 frames and you might be to Jab 12, throw/gates against most of the cast. Still need to test that. That combo sounds sick though I'll have to try that! and I did want to lab some routes myself at some point too. I'm also pretty sure having rage drive gives more hitstun cause of the 1.1 multiplier, so that is something to keep in mind too.
@@ViedViper The percent window for D-Throw to 9A is pretty tight, so I'd probably recommend 4A instead, but I've been trying to find combo routes for 9A in general, feels pretty underrated. @@MrWoodsman Oh wow it works that high vs Ryu? Thats pretty crazy, that's alot of damage at that high a percent. I'll for sure mess around with that which is good cause 9A as well as 7A are the only moves I haven't really used yet. In combos or neutral, so that should be fun thanks!

I like how the only thing stopping Kazuya’s crouch moves from being good is that crouching just sucks, but thank god CDC exists. It makes Crouch Jab a viable “down-tilt” like the Shotos and Terry’s, plus all of his angled crouch moves are so good as single hit moves. I need to get better at CDC -> Crouch, it makes crouching so much more viable in a game that encourages constant movement
Yeah there are definitely some good moves from crouch and as you said thankfully you can CDC into them while moving horizontally. Definitely better vs some chars that just low profile your other moves like EWGF.
I will always strive to be consistent with this character , but more and more I realize he is about execution. Not advantage. Something that’s very hard in a game like smash where so many things are fighting against yiu.
Yeah Kazuya and Ice Climbers are probably the top 2 hardest chars in the game. Workhorse chars for sure, you definitely have to put in a lot effort with them.
Bruh mastering this gives you near instant access to a tech chase, stun or fully intangible attack, honestly getting an instant demon god fist out of crouch dash cancel is super satisfying.
Dude you are the most volatile Kazuya I've seen. From the crouch dash cancels to demon God fist, ewgf and dragon uppercut, it just all flows so smoothly. Keep it up.
this crouching playstyle is exactly how i want my kazuya to look like in the future. cdc crouch jab into crouching db tilt then tech chase with cdc dgf would be soo sick to see
@@kmo6485 yeah its hard af. This is the first step twitter.com/ViedViper/status/1453096656057114625 which you probably need to buffer then according to Gimr you need a frame perfect Crouch Jab. Lol thanks, but I have also been theorizing and grinding a new layout that will really make it look like a TAS :) twitter.com/ViedViper/status/1453096656057114625
Yeah for sure, I think people are starting to see how useful crouch jab can be. Its like near instant access to cr. jab from CD. It takes 5 frames to go from your last cancel input to crouch whereas it normally takes 6. Though you can buffer crouch from a jump and that only takes 1 frame.
@@ViedViper This is kind of unrelated, but it's regarding the crouch dashes you do. Whenever you do them fast and consecutively, what cancel are you using? I'm inconsistent, but the one I do is just 623 (facing right) multiple times.
A mix up would be up tilt, wave dash CDC jab, jab Ewgf then do whatever you want. This all depends on how your opponent is trying to get on the ground. So you’ll have to adjust your timing or string new tilt strings into the combo or heck gates of hell then since you’ll be behind them. And I’m often able to get Ewgf.
@@ViedViper imma need you to call it a dickjab sir. Yeah cdc dick jab was something I played with awhile back but the range and buffer system (its hard stop after one hit on reaction) made me not use it as much. I just use DGF for roll ins or spotdodge

@@ViedViper if greninja doesn't DI away, you can get dick jab to up tilt. The problem is the timing can be strict depending on spacing so u could get a phantom hit if dick jab was hit at max range during a combo. Many characters u can do dick jab to ultilt 1 to electric
@@starter497 Ah thanks! I'll try that too cause Tsunami Kick is way worse at combing then I thought it would be. It's got the range just doesn't always combo into Electric especially in neutral if it does at all.
