Mid 2022 comment.. This vid helped me to make my decision on buying a 3800 mile 1 owner '17 . appreciate it Neeves. cheers mate!
Best-looking Scrambler for me
Another world class review from Mr Neeves. Well done sir.
Ducati might have just created an icon.
I have owned this bike since 2018 and I have never regretted it. It rides perfectly, with enough power for today's British roads. I have upgraded the suspension to Ohlins front and rear and fitted many stylish after marked add-ons. When I have finished with it I will stand it in the corner of my living room as a feature. Just love it!
from a ducati hater, this is actually a good looking bike
Damn! That's such an attractive machine!
For that price you might as well spend just a little more and get the thruxton 1200 non r which is an incredible machine with more agile handling, and the engine is just an absolute power house
I've been contemplating with cafe racer or the monster 797, upon hearing reviews here and from people. Your reviews seem to be my decision point over a monster. I'm a beginner, and took a ride both on a ducati Riding Experience and I felt I like the cafe. Thanks will settle then 😁
Great review
Neevesy! Which would you say is the one bike that is the most fun doing curvy roads while polishing your rider skill? I'm in the US and thought Husqvarna 701 Supermoto. My L2 Busa is just simply too much for public road riding and one would need to ride on Circuit de la Sarthe to truly enjoy what the bike was made for. I said the 701 SM because you can practice both on and off-road riding skills and it's lightweight. I welcome your thoughts! Is it worth the $12k cost of admission?
NO where NEAR AS COOL as the 2017/18 model. The black Nd gold with those gold rims looks SIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII....ICK man!!
for this style of bike I think Yamaha XSR900 is the best bike, power like a sports bike with retro looks
When I want a power, I build a turbo. When I want a clear fun, I can take a Scrambler 👌
They should make one of these with the Monster 1200R engine. Yes I know simple riding experience blah blah.... some of us want the old school looks with a little more brutality. Bring back the Paul Smart with more power and less torturous ergos....
Apparently all the haters here have ridden this bike :-) ...
It's a lovely bike : ]
I, for one, welcome our new Ducati overlords.
However, I shall stick with my woman (XSR 900) and admire this hipster-magnet from afar.
Two wheels good, four wheels bad.
XSR 900 is a hoot to ride. Its basically a hooligan bike. Not same class as Duc. XSR makes way more power
Personally I would prefer the desert sled but I'll be more scared to crash it compared to other off-road machines
cool bike for a more relaxed rider or beginner that wants an affordable motorcycle not made in malaysian or wherever out of plastic fantastic. im not understanding the term "hipster" bike since the rider would be the hipster not the bike
I have a Monster 795 for three years now touching 30,000k.. best fun bike I have owned.. But, can someone please tell me why the Ducati engines are so noisy?
If you use a 15w-50 or 20w-60 motor oil, the engine noise will gone.
where's the group test??
I am confused as to why many retro style bikes are more expensive than their counter parts that have more tech, usually more cylinders, and expensive materials. I get that retro bikes are a niche, but still
Informative and there were some good shots but a generally boring review
Like the talk style format, but the comparison to the competition seemed a little vague
Scrambler cafe racer? Eh?
It's just a perfect hipster bait for rich millennials.
DJ RichyLaurence the bike is almost as confusing as this video. Apparently the thruxton and XSR900 have "brutal extreme riding positions". What?
Like... blimp boat.
why does the bike sound weak tho. Couldnt they at least give it a little muscle in the sound?
An absolute stunner of a bike but way overpriced. They'd sell them by the truck load if was sold at a more realistic price of £5-6k.
Is that Sting?
like it just because its a caferacer
It`n not really fair to compare the Ducati to the xjr1300 and then say that triumph truxton r is to powerfull.
he is comparing ducati to xsr900, not xjr. pretty decent comparison
yankee4649ne xsr900 has over 110hp while truxton has under 100hp
@Alexandru Dalak He said Thruxton R 120hp...
www.triumphmotorcycles.co.uk/motorcycles/classics/thruxton/2017/thruxton/variants/thruxton-1200-r#specification triumph website said 97bhp
Torque.
I feel like this bike could have been named better.
totally agree. I've ridden this and it was superb. Name it like: Ducati Sport Cafe
Neevs looks tired, exhausted and down right not interested... !
Very overpriced for a Malaysian built twin.
Look at the VIN when you see a Ducati café and Desert, they are built in Italy, not like the other Scramblers.
Give me a Malaysian built anything anytime and keep your chinese BMWs, KTMs, Hondas and Yamahas.
Neevesy, what have you've been sniffing? I got one as a one day replacement for my own bike (S1000RR) whilst being serviced. A complete nightmare. power was a joke, suspension was basically frightning, brakes.. well I won't even go into them, Scary to say the least. The only good things were the handling and the fact that I could leave it at the shop after a day. Perhaps it's a good cafe racer cause you won't experience the inadequacies after a couple of pints.
Did you really just compare a 75hp bike to your S1000RR??? Lol. Come on, dude. 🙄
If you really like a cafe racer you don't buy one you make one
can u turn my Yamaha R15 into a cafe racer ?
its all smiles until you got to pay $$$for those desmo valve adjustments. SV650 cheaper more powerful has twin rotors at front not 1 on Ducati and more reliable. Ducati for weird reasons stays with PIA expensive Desmo valve system where most dont and not necessary for a bike making 70'sh HP
i thought it was a "scrambling- cafe-desert-sled-moto-acronyn-thingo-bike.
Ive looked at it so much now i hate it
My honest feedback: Meh
talk about a paid review.
specially about the line when saying slapping on a bunch of stock parts to make it look like a cafe racer and claiming they changed it a lot.
my ass.
they should just own up to it admit that they should just say that they did that and it is what it is.
they just noticed that everyone wanted a cafe racer and they just turned their scrambler into one so everyone else won't fuckin modify it so much and buy one from them.
AMEN
I'm not a fan of the new interview style of bike reviewing, on this channel.
First. 😃
More boring boring cafe racer crap
BS commercial worthless BUILD YR OWN
