so is there a way they can skip over a whole neighborhood because my neighborhood has at&t but not fiber there is a church behind my neighbors house and 6 houses right next to it basically a couple 1000 ft away from my house but the are on the county line idk if this has anything to do with my little part of the neighborhood not having it, because most of the city has it where im at and we dont it like 5-6 different circles in my neighboorhood and right before you turn in there is a factory and they also have it. Yes sometimes constructions skips blocks, neighborhoods and communities. It’ll likely get around to you soon if it’s near. I’m a finer tech and also have fiber at my house, 2 blocks away from me still does not have fiber available yet
i still have powerlines in my neighborhood ik that has nothing to do with it because you can still get it its still the same i dont have it and nobody in my side of the neighborhood has it ill be patient because i saw them putting it in on two different hills really close to me but way further away then the houses im talking about thank you for the info though you dont know how much this helps i just did not wanna feel like i was skipped over and have to move for good internet @@juantaste8603
I work for an underground utility company, that also runs and splices fiber optic cables. The owner of the company tells us all the time he doesn't even have fiber available at his own house, yet it is available up the road from him, and his company installed most of the fiber in the surrounding towns.
i appreciate you guys the at&t trucks just came in my neighborhood today and we’re installing fiber lines to the power poles right up the street asked one of the guys and he said everyone in the neighborhood would be getting fiber it will just take a couple months to complete, however i wonder how it would actually take that long to complete
If you work as a contractor, and are piece rate. You can make 6 figures. Working for a smaller ISP like Wyyerd, you’d get paid around 25-40/hr. This is as a splicer. Plenty of work everywhere.
I hate that it's so close to that gas line. You know how many fiber optics gets busted because it so close to gas lines. We have to dig to find the gas lines and sometimes fiber gets damaged in the process.
Where i live everyone around my house has fiber but i cant get it they have been saying for 3 years now that they will do it and they still havent but all my neighbours have it would anyone know why
Well he just said each house has their own connection so everyone beat you too it dude. Theres no more space available and i dont think they install a new hub just for you.

So that's how you guys do in USA. Here in Asia we do it different way. Fiber cables via electric poles - into the FAT box and then to individual homes. 😁
This is just one city in the US. Wyyerd is a tiny ISP (getting larger) in Arizona. They are probably less than 2% of the FTTH market from my understanding. The enclosures used by these guys will differ from other ISPs. Most work in Arizona is underground in hand holes like in this video and manholes. The US is huge and basically 50 countries, so it’s hard to paint big strokes on what is normal.
My aunt got fiber yesterday. Took the tech 4 hours. oddly it comes into the house from a telephone pole 😂 Meanwhile I’ve had flags in my yard for like 15 months with no fiber in sight 😂
No really? I did not know that. 😒 Looked pretty straightforward to open technician or otherwise. 😂 Most home security runs on PoE nowadays, cut the wires in the conduit and you’re good to go.
Telecommunications systems are nice when their new. But, with time the technicians will do a lousy job of waterproofing the plant and problems will occur.

You can do them here that way too, but it’s much more efficient to use the shared method so wires aren’t overrided they’re easy to locate
